Decided to try and feed my physical media addiction while in the area. Upon entry I could see it was clean and orderly but a little on the small side. I spent a few minutes browsing and took my selections to the register. When the employee checked me out he didn't say anything and removed one of his two earbuds. We found so many cute items! The store is well organized by size and color, making it easy to find something to your liking. I saw name brands for a great price. The employees were a little soft spoken but friendly. The only down side... no fitting rooms! We tried on some things in the aisle that had a mirror. Store is clean and the bathrooms are only for staff. read more

Came to this location today with my mom and was quite disappointed. The cheapest items ranged around 12 dollars. In no way is that a Goodwill "thrift store" pricing. I acknowledge that name brand items are often priced higher yet the gouge in the pricing was insane. This was every item within the store. Have never seen a Goodwill with worse prices. Safe to say a skipped stop in the future. read more

Pffft... You drive to the back and dump your items (by category) into the blue bins YOURSELF. Ain't nobody gonna help you! Ain't nobody gonna come out and hold your hand! Figure it out yourself! That's my experience, basically. All of the other Goodwills have a person out by the bins asking you if you need help, passing out 25 percent off coupons. Not this one! Lots of good bargains are at this Goodwill. Niece got her daughter some tops that were inexpensive and in like new condition. The cashier was friendly and efficient. The only bathroom was for employees only, so use the one in Albertsons if you need one! read more

Unfortunately all Goodwills are becoming very greedy . Marking up big time for everything. You would be better off going to Ross or TJ -Max , Marshals etc .... At least the clothes are new and don't smell & you get a warranty on electrics etc . I won't even donate at this point . read more

I was so bummed last time I went to Carpinteria and they had to close this store for renovations I guess(?) So glad to see it's reopened again! Well organized and friendly place with quality items. One of my favorite thrift stores. We went here when I took family on beach trip and my daughter forgot her duffel bag of extra clothes at home so we had to look for something to hang out in for a few days on the beach. This place was such a wonderful find. Staff are always helpful and friendly towards us and the only problem is trying to not buy up half the store lol. Quality items and a great thrifting experience. Now I look forward to this as part of our vacations to SB and Carpinteria every year. read more

I went to the grand reopening but walked out empty handed. Could find anything I really wanted. I will go back again when it's not so crowded. It was opening day so lots of people and the store isn't that big. But I love the location and parking. read more

Nice store in a calm shopping center. Convenient parking and easy to find off the 101 freeway. Store had a nice selection of clothing for women, men and kids, along with typical home décor, knick knacks and other smaller items. I'm not a fan of the way these things are organized, or rather sort of just dumped en mass on top of the clothing racks. You can't really see what's up there and have to dig through it all, and I'm super tall so short people probably can't see it well at all. That's the only real downside though. Staff was friendly while I was there. I didn't find anything I needed to buy during my visit, but that's the nature of the store. Always worth checking back again later for new stuff. :) read more

New air fresheners since reopening are so strong and cause me to have a headache while shopping. I love coming to this goodwill and was so excited when it opened back up again. But I can't stand whatever they have been putting in the air in the store to keep a clean smell? Idk why they're doing it but it limits the amount of time I spend in there because I start to get so light headed. read more

This goodwill is awesome. The workers weren't very nice but that's okay because it was well organized and had really good prices. I thought the things in here were priced better than normal goodwills which can be on the higher side. The store is organized so nicely and it's easy to find everything. I was pleased at the merchandise they had and I just loved this location. I am from Sacramento and if I ever find myself back in Carpinteria I will stop by here again. read more

This Goodwill store is great! Everything is organized and easy to search for the right sizes and colors. They also are excellent about displaying new inventory and selling off the old. I always find something I really like at a great price. read more

Clean full store. There was a great electric turkey fryer for $20 which I could not justify buying. There was some nice stuff I just didn't need or want so I left with another set of bed leg extenders. These were only $2. read more

Well organized but the prices are more than any thrift store I've been in. St Joseph's is much more affordable!

The prices are good, there's no fitting rooms though but that's a policy that all goodwills have as a company. However if you do buy an item of clothing and it does not fit they let you return it with your receipt. The stuff they have is fun and well priced and organized. Staff is mediocre. They can work on their greetings and smiles! They have sales every now and then so that's cool too. read more
