I had a feeling this would be a great goodwill and have decent selection of western wear... I looked thru ladies belts and was kind of disappointed cuz they were fake leather, red ones, macrame ones... basically fashion belts. I needed a decent belt heavy enough to hold my walkie talkie at work, which of course drags my pants down thru the shift... and I lost weight by running laps around at work trying to put out fires all day so my pants are already falling down. And holy cow! It was my lucky day and I'm happy that I'm persistent and never give up. You just gotta believe. I flipped back thru the cheesy ladies belts and I saw a Harley Davidson belt buckle and was like Noooo Way... cuz you know that will be leather.. and I got such a pretty belt and it's actually my size. THIS IS A ZERO STAR REVIEW: It was bad enough when Norma was in this store for years, then they got a guy called Scott. Very unfriendly, accusatory and negative. I don't go into this store that often as those two still leave a bitter taste in my mouth and corporate didn't do much about it after numerous complaints from people. I would highly suggest that if you have a return ask for anybody but Deborah. She has the same kind of attitude and treats you like a piece of garbage. What the WHUT?? Prices have gone so ridiculously high here that it is more economical to buy brand new things at TJMaxx than the Goodwill. I dropped my donations off this april 29th at 8 am however; others began donating as well. I believe It looked like I was the very first donation. Then came this lady in a honda fitbit california license. She started packing her car with many donations cleaning out my pile. around 8:15am then she drove around and began waiting for another steal I drove away. She was a smoker. I was incensed she loved all my stuff and stuffed her car for real. I felt helpless did not know what to do about the situation. I just think you need cameras or someone on gaurd at 8am in the morning . thanks I delivered my soul. read more

After recently moving to Prescott Valley I had many usable items that I no longer needed and so boxed them up and took them to the Goodwill Store. I've never been inside to shop (as I previously stated I have far too many items already, I don't need to bring anything else into my home!) but each time I've been to drop off I've been met with two friendly individuals to help off load my items after pulling up to a wide, covered area - perfect for staving off the elements. I moved here recently, and in the process of unpacking, there are things that I have decided not to keep, and pass on to somebody else who might be able to use them. I buy good quality, and I take care of my stuff. The items that I donate to Goodwill are in good condition. They have gotten so picky about what they will and will not accept. I had to drive a fair distance to reach the Prescott Valley store. They would accept only two of the items that I had to donate. I am so done with Goodwill's BS, and this is the last time I will donate anything to them. read more

when I came here to pick out my personal birthday gift from this store I was greeted with great customers and great employees and in addition to that the cashier was polite and did a wonderful job. what I bought in particular were five 45rpm vinyl singles. they were originally priced at $4.99 but somehow their system re-priced them at $1.00!! (good quality vinyl to). however most goodwill stores are slightly higher priced than A lot of the smaller thrift stores in prescott valley. other than that most goodwill stores are A wonderful place to shop. Told us we needed to wear a mask to be in the store. Me wearing a mask does not protect you it only filters what the person wearing the mask breaths in not out. It's a plasibo and a joke. If I could give zero stars I would. I love that Goodwill employs individuals and helps out the community, but you would think that they would be a little more appreciative and courteous to those dropping items off. The emo looking kid with arm tattoos and an attitude to match that helped unload my vehicle was extremely unprofessional and rude. There was also a bald dude who came out and told another person dropping stuff off that he needed to wait his turn to pull up to drop off a small bag....is that really necessary? I will take the drive to the Prescott Goodwill from now on where I have had a better experience. read more

I used to like shopping at Goodwill....their prices were decent and they had some nice things for sale. A while back they raised their prices unbelievably high for a thrift store.Why this hasn't deterred more customers I don't know. There are other Goodwill stores in other states that I know don't charge anywhere near what the one here in Prescott Valley and Prescott charge.What makes it even worse is once you find something you might want to buy and you look it over you find it's either broken or has a chip in it or crack so it's not even worth shopping there anymore. They would probably get twice as many shoppers if they went back to their old prices but they must not care. The only thing that was good about their stores is that their employees are nice. Otherwise I would have given them one star. You're greeted as you come in the door and they don't mind helping you if you ask. Maybe one of the managers will read this and hopefully they can do something about it. I can't be the only who's complained. read more

We were light-headed, nauseous, and developed a headache. My elderly mother had to leave because she couldn't breathe. I wish they could switch. This store is way over priced! I feel that since our community provides the inventory; the community should be able to afford to clothe their families there. It's less expensive to buy new items at the Walmart close by. The store is pretty well organized though. Goodwill is not a charity organization. read more

I'm a single guy that likes to cook.i go to all the thrift shops in the Prescott area outfitting my kitchen with the best and well proven kitchen appliances, many times i have gone to the Goodwill stores in my local area before i moved out here from California. because i usually don't have any issues whatever on what i have previously purchased at the other goodwill stores but today was an exception to where and what i purchase as to comparison to my previous shopping experiences. i went shopping at the Goodwill store in Prescott Valley last Monday evening . whereas i discovered a very nice unit called a Jenn-air. a medium sized round device that claims to be able to cook a large turkey within an hour by hot air. in the process of purchasing this item, i was informed that if i wasn't satisfied with this machine, i had 7 days to return it for store credit only. i took the unit home, cleaned it, read the instructions and prepared my dinner of Norwegian game hens with the appropriate seasonings as per Gram Kerr's cookbook.set the timer for the proper amount of elapsed time..... i then took a hasty shower and when i emerged from my shower, i was assaulted by the large voluminous sound of what seemed to be every smoke alarm that has been installed in my home. my newly remodeled kitchen themed after a 1800's English countryside farmhouse kitchen. utilizing modern day conveniences such as, Wolf, Viking and Subzero. was in complete dense smoke. downstairs my neighbor was frantically beating on my front entryway. fearing that i might be in grave danger after seeing the extremely large billows of smoke exiting from my windows and doors. moments later, the firetrucks arrived. then then chaos subsided a bit. three days later, my insurance company with the local fire inspector concluded that the blaze started the that cooking device that i recently purchased at the local Goodwill store. it would seem that this kitchen utensil that i purchased for $39.99 also cost me $31,674.22 in damages a 2 week estimated repair time plus my $5000 deductible. also quite possibly a small portion of my pride and reputation as a reasonable cook. a few days later i returned the remains of what was at one time a somewhat functioning kitchen appliance. i spoke to this young man about what has transpired several days ago but all he would say that it wasn't returned in its original condition and my 7 days have expired so i won't have any credit in exchange for it. .. i didn't want that. i was asking him if they test these items before they put them out for display and he replied that they plug them in for a moment,see if they light up and then put them out for sale. i was flabbergasted. i replied that certainly not the proper allotted time to do a more assessment of its safe use. when i explained my story to this young man, he yawned, rolled his eves and repeated, .. it is past its return deadline and it was not returned i the same condition that it was when it was sold to me. ... there was a moment of silence between us and then i requested to speak to a manager. whereupon he replies with a sneer, you are speaking to a manager, my name is David. and i feel that this issue is over and i no longer wish to assist you and if i wasn't going to conclude anymore shopping, maybe its time to go home. now i am slightly more then upset. i am considering contacting my barrister tomorrow to see what course to take this issue and to what end? ....... has anyone ever have such an experience as this one? if so contact me here. i have never had to sue over anything before, but what do you think? and what about this condescending attitude described loosely as a store manager? i have never been treated in such a fashion by some little tin god that calls himself " I'm David, the store manager". something must be done. read more

ALOT of their stuff is over priced especially for being used. Besides that it's a very clean facility and no odd smells!

Today I was witness to two employees at this store practically called this handicapped retired marine a lier in front of the customers at that location.the one employee that went by the neam of David wiped some writing off this broken stereo device? And told him that it wasn't returnable because it wasn't marked with a red grease pencil. When the man exclaimed that he was witness to the fact that he watched him rum it off that's when this other employee came up and said even though he had the receipt he was not entitled to the refund. The man walked out the store, fumbled with his cane and continued walking away.i turned to the register to pay for my item but was harshly told I was in the wrong line. As I was walking away I thought that they were laughing at me but shortly realize that they were talking and laughing about that poor marine with the attempted return. Went here on June 30, 2015. This is a great store. It's very nice, affordable, and it's in a great location! I went here because I wanted to check out this Goodwill while in the Prescott-area. I notably chose the Prescott Valley location because it's nicer and more affordable, unlike the Prescott location. I'll be back to the Prescott-area on June 28, and I will definitely stop by this Goodwill again! read more

Although its not a non-profit organization- I am a regular Goodwill Shopper, average 2-3 x's p/month. This store is brand new, very clean, good selection. But the customer service is horrible! Today, the cashier suggested that I may have switched a price tag. (it was a 3.99 t-shirt- come on...I spend $30-40 every week in here!) It takes forever to get them to open a fitting room or check you out. I'm done- not going back. read more
