This Goodwill is fairly organized by size and colors. Obviously some items are out of order but nothing outrageous. They have a huge collection of Halloween decor and costumes if you're in the market for that. I found a Day of the Dead dollar all was not lost. I only had limited time to check items. I walked in hopeful and walked out on cloud nine. I found some amazing books today at my neighborhood Goodwill. The store was clean, the staff was happily working, the vibe was positive and pleasant. I had a 20% off coupon , and my day was made. Today was a good day at this Goodwill. Especially after I went to two others today. read more

Unfortunately goodwill employees are being told to pull the color tabs for the specific day and when I brought it up to the attention of the manager...I was told it was not my concerned. No wonder there are signs stating items are not allowed to be hidden by customers read more

This was my first visit to this particular Goodwill store. It seemed a bit disorganized and messy but it was a Monday morning. Always on the lookout for flower pots and/or other plant containers, the selection that day was limited. Frankly, I was a bit surprised by some of the prices. The Dollar Store candleholders I recently bought were being sold for $3! I did find a lamp at a reasonable price for my guest room so it wasn't a wasted trip. Unfortunately my experience was bad due to an employee. I was there 2/5/2023 @ 3:57pm. Not sure if I ever want to be put in such an awkward position again. He was not wearing a name tag, so I could not get his name. But I do have his employee number on my receipt. He made a racist joke that completely caught me off guard. As he rang up my items with the scanner, he pointed out that he uses a small tiny gun similar to what our "black friends seem to be fond of." At first I was smiling because of other remarks he made, after this one, it took me a moment to realize what he said. I found this to be inappropriate, disgusting and bottom line, racist. I don't know who this man was, but I felt very uncomfortable. I thrift often, and went out of my way to check out this location. Not sure if I will be returning, I hope this man one day realizes how hateful and damaging his words can be. read more

I love coming here on $1 Thursday! Now it's $2 Thursday but that's okay. I love this goodwill and I find great items here

Honestly, me and my mother would usually love to go to this Goodwill, but today showcased that the people that they have put on staff do not care about people's safety. We were in here for about 10 minutes at best and there was at least 15 people without masks or having their masks on their chins, half of which were people that worked there. In addition they didn't have anyone working the cash register for a period of time and there was a couple of us just standing by the register with its light on. Not to mention, some of the people working there were spending more time socializing with either each other or customers that we assume that they know rather than working. To the point of laughing extremely loud and ignoring the fact that they are not wearing their masks correctly. I usually don't write reviews like this but honestly the situation was extremely frustrating and disappointing. read more

Once a fairly average Goodwill at best, a bit of remodeling has made this thrift store unrecognizable from its undistinguished former self. Just take a look at the photographs posted. I'd suggest you make this Goodwill part of a non profit thrift store endurance test, stopping also at Alice Cooper's Attic (32nd & Thunderbird), Goodwill (40th & Thunderbird) and Goodwill again (32nd & Cactus). All close by. Like most Goodwills, pricing is generally very reasonable here, but some items are priced under the assumption you'll be getting one of many discounts available. Half price every other Saturday is the best deal, if you're okay with crowds. Seniors receive 25% off on Tuesdays and educators receive the same on Sundays. Sign up for emails to receive monthly coupons, usually 20% off a minimum $10 purchase. And note the half price color tag of the day when you enter the store. Enjoy finding some bargains while you're helping the community. A win win! read more

I dropped off a ton of things here when I was liquidating my life in this town and it was a terrific experience. Their donation program is quick and easy (just drive around to the back of the store and put it in a bin) and really helps out people by selling things at affordable prices and the profits go to provide assistance to the community. Such great people at this location especially. read more

This is quite possibly one of the highest priced stores in Phoenix, I thought it had closed a while back, but it is open again and prices are through the roof. Who pays $13 for a vcr? used lawn mower $50 at other GW's they are $20. All electronics are sold at ebay wishful thinking prices. once again I have to say it "Thrift" store! THRIFT! get it? I developed my adoration for thrift shopping at Goodwill, as a child. Back then, we shopped at Goodwill out of need, when my family experienced down times, like so many families are experiencing now. Little did I know that I would develop a passion for thrifting. Shopping and donating at Goodwill has always been a pleasant experience. The people are very friendly and helpful. Goodwill is a community staple. Goodwill is good for the economy, workforce development, education, job creation, social services, green practices and 90 cents of every dollar earned at Goodwill is reinvested into programs and the Goodwill mission - to Put People to Work. Easy to drop things off! A little dirty on the inside but hey I got my Halloween costume on the first try! Can't beat that!

Well, that was a first. I'm often tempted to make the remark of, "I'm sorry I chose to shop on your child's playground" to some parent of a wayward kid. When the doors opened and two small kids came running in the store yelling and shot off in the opposite direction of mom, the store employees were quick to shut that down. The kids were stopped in their tracks and sent back over to mom. Very nice, yet a shame that it had to be done. Great customer and society service. read more

I have been going to this Goodwill for awhile and I have never had any complaints about it. This thrift store is the most hit or miss of the thrift shops I frequent. Even so the staff is very friendly and everything is very organized. It seems the people who donate to this shop bring VERY outdated clothes, so you really have to dig in this place! read more

I have literally donated truckloads of clothing, furniture and household items to this store and the guys at the donation door have been fantastic!!! Always ready to help unload with a smile on their faces. The last two times I've been there a female has been there. She pulls a bin forward and directs you to put your items in it, then walks away back to the cool warehouse. I'll be finding a new store. read more

I think this store is just plain nasty. You could find better and cleaner items other places and they price a lot of stuff so high you could probably find something on sale somewhere same price and get new.. I was trying to buy a replacement part in here and had to deal with Chris. He is a tool and they should get rid of him. Don't give them extra money when you check out, they make millions off of all the free donated merchandise!! read more

Workers and sales associates make or break any business..and I was lucky enough to get a great gal to help me a few weeks ago at this Goodwill. I was part of a 'mama gaga' act and I needed to make a Lady Gaga costume. The cable guy was coming to the house and I only had a few minutes to shop for a dress that I could turn into one of Gaga's famous fashion statements. I went to the dress section, which also happened to have an associate hanging up dresses. She asked if I needed help. I told her what I was doing and she took me into the bridal section (which are full brides gowns - great for customs or anyone on budget), she helped me look for a dress in the section she was working and she pointed out one last section where I might be able to find something. Sure enough, I found a dress that I could modify. I couldn't believe how helpful she was; she had worked with a family member doing pageant gowns and gave me some tips to turn my dress into the Gaga fashion statement I was aiming to achieve. I told her she needed a job at a department store, she was so helpful and friendly...and my dress was a hit! read more

i feel bad leaving a goodwill anything less than a five, because really in my heart just the idea of goodwill deserves a five every time. im a thrifter, at least once a week i have to stop by one of these places just to see who's junk i can put in my house. but this goodwill in particular kind of made me sad. it was pretty dirty inside, (like youd think a goodwill would be, if youd never been to one)... there was a smell that i couldnt put my finger on, and i frankly wouldnt want to put anything on. there were broken things on the shelf, not like hey maybe this would be cool to take home and fix. im talking like broken things that should be in the trash. remember this is me the junk collector... i guess i just had higher expectations. ive probably been to a good 25-30 goodwill's since discovering how great they are. this one easily was the worst... im just sayin. read more

Moved to a new location, purchased an item was told I had 48 hours to pick it up. When I got there the next day to pick it up and it was mislabeled with another persons name and priced lower than I paid. Almost 30 minutes later I was able to get it, with a simple I'm sorry. They didn't even have my original ticket anywhere pricing I purchased it. I'm glad I didn't wait one more day. read more

Maybe I got a bad impression of this location, but I won't go back. I always check out what's in the jewelry cases, best thing in there was a guess waterpro with a broken crystal and a missing crown. 30$ It was kinda dirty inside, and every worker I encountered acted as if I was wasting their time. I've heard from other employees at other locations that this is a store where new hires get trained. That may explain the disorder I encountered. read more

I have been visiting this store for a couple of years now and didn't have any major complaints....that is until today. My family and were browsing through their "furniture" section and found a train table that my son absolutely loved! It had a few scratches on it and needed to be cleaned but for the listed price of $17.99 it was great. Upon getting it up to the front of the store the cashier called another employee up to help. Upon inspecting the table, the employee called over said that the price is $80!! $80 I exclaimed! I can purchase a new one for that price. My husband pointed out the 4 price stickers on the table all of which said $17.99. Still they didn't budge. Heck, even Walmart has a policy where if something is mis marked they give it to you for that price plus take off $2. They gave us the lame excuse that they didn't realize the drawers came with it and because they did, it was marked $80 and that someone must have mis marked the price. So upon this reasoning, the table was just about $20 making each draw $30?? There were refrigerators in there for $30!! I told my husband that an employee must have seen it and wanted it for themselves...funny, I told some friends about this experience and without hesitation they said the same thing "an employee must have wanted it for themselves." I didn't know that was general practice for Goodwill. Still debating if it is even worth it to confront them on this matter....or maybe I'll just run down to Fry's and purchase a brand new one for $60! What is the point of going to Goodwill and buying used stuff, if you can get it brand new...and for less?!? Meanwhile my son is asking where his train table is..... read more
