CALLED our local Rural King in Elyria to verify that they still did perform this service. While on the phone I specifically asked if they had a limit as we had about 7 or 8 batteries to recycle. The young man said no, no limits. Loaded up our batteries, drove 20 miles to the store where I called, unloaded the batteries, went to the customer service desk where we were promptly told that Rural King no longer recycles batteries. Wasted over an hour of our time plus gas for our vehicle. I would think all the employees should know the policies of the store where they work. Aggravated and disappointed with Rural King today. From my experience, no matter the location, Target standards are consistent and don't disappoint. It usually attracts normal customers and the aisles are usually fully stocked neatly. The store offers one-of-a-kind service and merchandise. LAYOUT: The store is one large space with multiple rooms and nooks. The front of the store has manly vibes. The rest of the store has treasures that are more domestic. MERCHANDISE: I've explored plenty of vintage stores but only found certain things here. The front of the store has barber shop sign, old lamps, antique old cans, collectible cars, gas cans, and more. Seriously suitable for a man's cave. The remaining merchandise are ethnic statues, apothecary and perfume bottles, figurines, cups and plates, antique lamps, bonnets, vinyls, wall art, Coca-Cola relics, and more. The shop does not have clothing with the exception of accessories - purses and clutches. However, I was most impressed with multiple small jars with of tonics and other apothecary finds.
