The stores up north however are hard to come by... There are not as many and their inventory is lacking due to being in a less populated area... It is funny to see how the stock and type of stuff varies so much in different parts of the state. This thrift store is the best one that I have found in Northern Michigan not only is it extremely spacious... The store itself is extremely organized, and you can tell that the owners and staff take great pride in merchandising their product in a way that is easy to shop and thoughtfully placed. I found it incredible how this business is operating I went today for the first time and it is senior day so the deals are very deep and the line is wrapped around the building! It seems like this building was once a mom and pop shop style department store because there are various rooms that organize each department even still with it being a thrift store this location have less furniture and clothing but all the other items are in great supply. Ifound a few great deals and left knowing that I will be back I highly recommend this store if you are into Thrifting and looking for a gift or even a vintage find.

Their inventory is still being built up. I heard on the news they are going to take furniture donations here, but furniture is all going to be sold at the S. Airport location. So- this is good for clothes, books (getting there), puzzles/games/toys, shoes (so-so, size organization needs some work, this may be a store size constraint). My mom and I visited the other afternoon. Service was fine. They take cash or cards so I am happy. My mother found 3 tops and a pair of pants, I found a nice western-style shirt, a puzzle and a book (all things I have trouble resisting). Watch for the colored tag sales if you are really looking to save some money, I think those items are heavily reduced- the color changes on Saturdays.

While dropping off a bag of donated garment, I was approached by a rude and obnoxious employee that insisted on yelling at me for dropping the bag in the wrong bin (an honest mistake). She insisted on being extremely combative with me even though I told her I wasn't sure where the proper drop off was supposed to be. She was extremely rude and had no remorse for her terrible attitude. I treat people with respect, and I would hope that someone in customer service would do the same, especially when someone is trying to donate to charity. I hope this employee eventually understands that a little kindness can go a long way. Again, thank you Amy for your help in settling an uncomfortable situation. Bob

The guy was laying back on a gross Lazy-Boy with no shoes on and random junk spread around the "business." He said he was just at post office but we got the feeling he was asleep (it was afternoon.). 4. There were animal pelts laying in a pile in one area 5. He invited us to check out a different room in back because there was "more back there." Despite wondering if we would be murdered back there, we checked it out (we were on vacation). This room didn't smell as bad, but it was basically a garage that wasn't heated (it was February) and was just more random garbage mostly. -Oh yea, between these two rooms was a kitchen that was a squalid mess- I thought we might see a rat cooking, so I think the guy lives there also. That being said- I bought some deer horns for $25 because they were cool/I thought were might not make it out otherwise. I paid cash and the guy pulled out his wallet to give me change- still in his Lazy-Boy chair.
