I'm sorry every time I donate here. First, they are often closed without warning during their posted business hours. Second, I'm a tiny person. Every time I go here, I ask for help unloading and not once have I gotten it, even as I struggle to lift heavy things out of the car. I get a blank stare as the worker watches me unload. Also, very often I show up and they say, 'today we are not taking chairs' or something to that effect, so I will have to go to another donation center. read more

This place is a joke. Sometimes they accept some things and at other times they deny the same things. I called ahead and texted a photo this time. Goodwill said, "yes, that looks great. Thanks!" Then I show up and the initial person, while polite, said they couldn't take it. She offered to get a supervisor who was nothing short of a first class dick. I will NEVER be back. The item denied this time was a brand new (1 month old) chair with zero damage. I paid $800 for it and it doesn't fit so my loss is someone's gain. This is not my first bad experience with these guys it about a 50% chance that I will run into an employee who could give a hoot about their job. Stay away from this place as you are wasting your time. The car ahead of me this time was denied over half of her stuff. I took the chair to Value Village and they said, "are you sure you want to donate this?" Then they proceeded to thank me. I had to drive an extra :30 minutes to do this. This will be my extra charity work from now on. Whomever puts another charity drop off center near this joke of a business will definitely take all of their business as they are soooooo unprofessional. Stay clear of this total joke of business. I really like that this is donation only because it's so quick and you don't have to drive through a parking lot. You just pull through and give them your donation. Sometimes the line is long and it goes down the street. But the line goes pretty fast and it easy to navigate. Employees are all friendly and helpful! read more

Better make sure your donations are clean. Pots and pans cant have marks on the bottom that are from use. Tops must dont have any debris at all. If these conditions arent met, they will refuse to take the items. If you complain to corporate they will give you the runaround and tell you where else you can go to complain but not to them. Get my drift? No longer will my company donate to these people because they actually grade your donations and very harshly. If they arent up to their resale standards they wont wash them or polish them or clean them in any way according to a represenative. read more

Small reception area, and they are somewhat picky on what they will accept. Assuming you are donating legitimate items that truly can be reused, box them all up. Everything. They wont hassle you and inspect every single item if they are boxed up. Otherwise you will be going home with a bunch of stuff as there is no rhyme or reason as to what they will and wont accept. read more

I was very well attended and it was very easy to make my donations and the attendant explained to me that they do not receive chemical cleaning materials, they do not receive florescent lights and any other hazmat and if you have any furniture it has to be very well maintained for them to receive it. Came to drop off a kitchen table and a bike and a few other items. I noticed all the cones were being put up and it showed they were open online, the lot was not full. I asked the guy working there if they were closed for the day, he said they would reopen in one hour and to come back. This was a huge inconvenience but we were understanding enough to come back. We came back 2 hours later to see the guy putting cones out again and telling us we cannot drop off. What a complete joke. These people are not helpful, don't waste your time. We went to the dump for $20 which is the amount of money in gas we spent driving around no thanks to them. Couldn't give nice stuff away since we were leaving the state and had to get rid of it. The location for this place is crazy. There seems to be one way in and a lot of signs to direct people through, but it's kind of a mess. Inside the store, it's pretty organized and nicely sorted through. I would say the prices seemed a little high, but maybe it was because of the bougie neighborhood? read more

This is a dropoff location only for Goodwill. You come into the lane, donate your goods with the really helpful employees and their huge bins, and then they give you a receipt for your taxes. This is a perm location with a small building. The public doesn't go inside, so no services here or parking. It's strictly drive in and leave. All of the employees that I've met when I'm giving a donation have been friendly and glad to help take stuff out of my car. read more

Honestly, I don't normally review businesses. But this is ridiculous. Despite their business hours being until 6pm, this is now my third time coming multiple hours before then and the drop off center being closed due to full trucks. 3 TIMES. I have come 3 times from noon-3pm and it is closed. Which means the hours are not until 6pm and they are advertising this falsely. Needless to say, don't waste your time trying to come here to drop things off. read more

WOW... Just Wow!!! The people at the goodwill donation center were so unfriendly and unhelpful!!! I can understand hating your job and being unhappy, but why do you have to show the world how dissatisfied you are??? I donate hoping nice things I can no longer use will be put into the hands on someone less fortunate and the money made from it will also be used to help others in someway ! I donated a solid wood dining room set in good condition that was purchased for more than $600 new. The gentleman that took the table, dumped it upside down into a bin. The bottom part of the table broke off and it is no longer in good condition as well as scratched up. It's now worthless and will need rework and refinishing if it's to ever be used again. I wont be donating to them again!!! If I took the table to the dump, the wood would have at least been recycled. read more

Wow. Worst experience!! I was donating items and apologized for going in the exit (poorly marked, but I should have looked more closely). The male attendant was very rude about my mistake and gestured for what I should have done. I corrected my vehicle direction and went to donate, he harshly grabbed each item and threw (literally) them into a container. This included throwing a DVD player and other items. I was nervous to come here after reading reviews, but with the Salvation Army truck full near me and a trunk full of stuff I had no choice. I had a super easy, kind and quick experience. I dropped off on a Friday morning, with a pretty constant line of cars and it was still really smoothly operated. The man who helped me had a smile on his face and loaded my stuff. I donated here for the first time yesterday and again today, greeted both older gentlemen friendly and upbeat, and they were either silent with a grumpy face or just rude and unhelpful. This is the second Saturday in a row I wanted to drop off a perfectly good microwave oven in its original packing. Unfortunately I showed up at 1pm last week and 11:02am today and they were already closed. Maybe the new hours should be from 9:00 -9:01 so they don't get too over loaded. read more

Went there yesterday and they made you go to the end of the line which curves around someones driveway. This take quite sometime to get to the store and when i did they put the chain up and made people leave. Didn't make sense but maybe their bins were full. They don't talk just gesture with there hands. If they are not taking any more people why don't they just have a sign and the main street (164th) so we don't waste our time. I will never use that store again. I can use the Safeway truck at Fred Myers or go to the Goodwill off 196th in Lynnwood. The whole experience was disgusting. read more

I donate a lot of items, from clothes to household goods. I cannot stand this drop off center! I use it because its conveniently located by my house and it's a drive up donation center. I've only used this place a few times. The first time the guys outside were great and personable. The last two times I've gotten a horribly rude man, who I'm pretty sure but only hates his job, but life in general. I greeted him with a smile and a hello and got nothing in return. I unloaded all the stuff that was in boxes and went to get in my jeep, realizing I had one more thing to donate I got out and it was clear that I had inconvenienced him. This place shows hours of 8-6, and I'm currently waiting outside to make a donation at 8:10 am. I'm highly irritated, but have a car full of stuff to unload. Time to find another donation center. read more

Easy drive thru drop off only location. I had two wide indoor/outdoor roll shades, along with many other items. The first two places I stopped (Salvation Army and Helping Hand Thrift Store) did not accept roll up shades, so I stopped at Goodwill Drop Off on 164th Street and they accepted the roll shades along with all my other items (large clean trash can, aluminum extension poles, wreath, car wash mitts, etc.). I like to stop at one place that will accept everything. read more

I have pretty simple tastes when it comes to what I'm looking for in a donation drop off station. Number one on my list is convenience. Number two on my list is efficiency. Number three on my list is their ability to accept all of my items. With its long hours, easy location, and multiple-employee staffing, this location hits all 3. A couple of things to bear in mind- employees are discouraged from picking up heavy items from the ground. They would prefer to get them out of your car themselves or have you hand them to them because then they don't have to bend over to pick them up. I am second or third in line 80 percent of the time I visit. What this tells me is that it's a busy station where employees are working hard to be efficient, possibly at the expense of niceties, in order to get to the next person in line and avoid keeping customers waiting. Finally, I have never been here when there were fewer than two people working. Usually, it's 3 to 4. These employees crank through mounds of donation items every day, and I think they do a fair job of it. read more

Simply came to drop off a couch and a rug at 4 pm. As soon as we pull up the guy (alex) glares at us and tells us they stopped taking furniture hours ago as if we should have know. We try to convince him to take it, pointing out the room for it we can see and he tells us that just because something can fit doesn't mean he should take it. The reason I even gave this place one star is because it's an easy drop off location. Going off what Sarah said, I also donate occasionally, but usually go to drop off bins, curb pick ups or online. This was my first time going to a Goodwill drop off. When I first got to this location, I drove up to the sign, got out and greeted the man working there. He didn't really have much personality so I just brushed it off. I had a big canvas tote full of books that he grabbed from my car. When I asked him if I could get my tote back, he rolled his eyes and walked to the building to take the books out. As he was doing that, I started unloading the toys out of a big box into the rolling bin. To speed things up, I started dumping the box of toys into the bin and he stopped me asking if I wanted the box too. I said no and he said to put the box in the bin because it makes it harder when the toys are dumped in the bin. I apologized because it was my first time doing this. He was just rude and had no customer service skills. If you hate your job THAT much, don't work there. read more
