So the managers are rude and they over price stuff to make it like your getting a deal but most of the time the same thing is cheaper at a store or another item is priced lower. And the clothes selection here is getting bad! Plus, they NEVER hardly have the sales color and you actually see them pulling those colors during the day... Especially BEFORE 99¢ day... It's cheaper to go to a consignment store or antique store. Like they got their stuff for free but priced a lamp at $100. Almost all of their stuff is retail priced. don't blame the resellers blame the corporations that manage these locations. read more

My teen sons and I came here to shop per their request. They had a decent amount of men's options, although the shirts were primarily polos or dress shirts and I'd hoped to see more business casual to casual options. (It's likely these get snatched up quickly by those purchasing to resell) My oldest picked up suit jackets for $7 each and he's already rocking them as part of his wardrobe. My youngest found an ugly Xmas sweater, which was high on the priority list! I spent most of my time with them but I'd come back here to shop women's selections. I'm fairly impressed with the organization of Goodwill and appreciate they offer dressing rooms. We received a fast, friendly checkout and I'm sure we'll be back! read more

I went to the Goodwill on 10230 Westport Rd. I recently loss weight and needed the pants for a new job. I purchased 5 pair pants without trying them on, washed them and then tried them on unfortunately I could not fit them. I went back to the location thinking it wouldn't be hard to exchange them. I explained to the cashier what happened she told me that she could not exchange them because I didn't have the receipt and the tags were gone. I understood went how and found the receipt. The next day when I arrived again, I was treated like I stole the pants! The employees were acting as if I was trying to steal or run some sort of scam over some $5.99 pants they acted as if this was some high-end department store! Their attitudes and the way they treated me was unreal. The cashier that was there at the time acted like she was offended that I returned the pants and that another employee had agreed to allow me to exchange the pants with just the receipt. I ended up only finding 1 pair of pants that I could fit after bringing back 4. I told her that I could only find one pair and she said rudely and condescendingly well then, I guess you'll have to find other pairs here. They had none. Everyone was acting as if these DONATED items were brand new and that I stole them. One of the employees even wanted to try to make it seem as though I was not within the 10-day exchange policy, my receipt said 02/19 she had to use her fingers to count the 10 days, like really?? I will never shop at the Goodwill again! I see why people buy new instead of used because the audacity to treat someone like that over donated items that an organization is making a profit off of is absolutely ridiculous. My review is for value. I'm not certain if it's just me but..have the prices gone up substantially? I saw a canvas Aldi basket marked 4.99...Same basket right now at Aldi is 4.99. The items were donated = 100% profit... plus I'm being asked to "round up"? I don't like complaining but the pay for Goodwill Executives is 160k-800k,...minimum wage is 7.25 = 15k. Where do minimum wage people shop now? FYI. The employees are always awesome. read more

ZERO STARS We used to love this store. We would come to it every Sunday after church and spend 3 to 4 hours shopping the 99 Cent color of the week sale. There are four of us girls and we would rack up and buy so many things. Several weeks ago we decided to show up for an hour before church when it was quiet and as soon as the doors open we found the workers pulling all of the tag of the week items that would be on sale. We asked them why they were doing this and they said to make room for new items. We told them we have been coming here for years and have never seen them do that. They looked annoyed and then they started putting all of the items back. Unfortunatly it's never stopped since then. So there really is no 99 Cent sale at the store. We have been in every week since and there are never any clothing items with the color of the week for $0.99. They said it is because they have to make room for new items coming in. I asked so then why do you advertise the 99 cent sale if it doesn't exist? They basically took all of the fun out of our Sunday shopping excursion. Why would you pull items that we are going to buy? Now I can no longer support an organization that would rather pull items and dump them in a bin at a random store to be almost given away into make money and do what they say they're going to do for people. Super disappointing and we reported them to corporate. read more

your employe matt needs better customer service or something due to day's incident. i was shopping here with my mom and we went to the checkout at normal. We were waiting in line so i wasn't paying attention, then comes our turn and i didn't realize. He then proceeded to tell me and my mom "if its was the 80's or 90's you would've been slapped". Insinuating my mother should have slapped me across my face for not paying attention. please note the reason I didn't say anything back to your employe was because i could barely hear him and he was mumbling. I'm not a huge second hand store shopper unless it's vintage. I mostly come to this location to drop off stuff that people could make better use of. Staff notices you pretty quickly when you get to the drop off side. They ain't that smiley but they ain't rude. No complaints here whatsoever! read more

Update: Went back three years later and the staff is the most helpful, delightful people!! My friend found one roller skate and fell in love but the other was no where to be found so she asked the front desk if the other one was anywhere in the store, and a nice male employee made it his mission to find the other skate: which he did! The cashier was also incredibly kind. Overall, the staff and store were 10 out of 10. Definitely recommend this Goodwill now! read more

This location is probably my Goodwill of preference, mainly because it is right next to where I live but also because it is very clean, and they tend to have a lot more stuff that I am interested in. Here out of the other stores I seem to find at least ten things on to try in the dressing room; Their section for women's clothing is gigantic! They have nice fitting rooms as well. Their shopping baskets can sometimes be dirty so I try not to use them. Most of the employees here are nice but I have seen a yelling match between two here that was a bit uncomfortable to watch. Overall it's very organized and has a lot of different sections you can peruse through. read more

I will give this store credit, their staff is very friendly and the selection is nicely organized. What I don't like about this location is the steep prices on their loose goods, in particular their video game and media selection behind the counter. I have found numerous items I was interested in buying, only to find out it was more expensive than if purchased online. I know they look up market prices when pricing these things which is fair, but I have been seeing more things actually overpriced. I believe the point of Goodwill is finding these sort of items for a decent bargain, maybe for less fortunate people, but not here. Clothes still seem fairly priced, which is good. But when it comes to loose goods, this location is no better than those second hand thrift stores and resellers. read more

So don't get me wrong, I love thrifting and I absolutely love Goodwill! But part of the reason why I go so often is because their prices, and whoever is the manager there has noticeably raised them. I went a week or two ago and found a very cute little jewelry box and instead of the usual price of $1.99 for glass items/knickknacks and such, it was marked $3.99. I was a little surprised at the price hike. I ended up getting it, but was a bit disappointed. The other stores in Louisville still honor the cheaper prices, even having all shoes marked at $3.99, but this location does not. I saw a pair of worn Steve Madden shoes priced at $14.99 and was pretty shocked. I understand they were designer, but for the condition and the fact that it was Goodwill, it wasn't worth it. This store is quite big and has a lot of selection, but has higher prices than the others. read more

I'd never been to this Goodwill before and wanted to see what their spread was especially since I am in the process of losing weight im losing clothes that fit in my closet and have to go find more on a limited budget. They had some cute tops and pants and shorts that I tried on. It was a pleasant enough experience and I may be back, if I have time and am in the area. read more

Heavy on the clothing at this location. It all looked great, found some great, trendy finds for myself and my young daughters. Every other category seemed rather sparse, and there were almost no kids books in the book section. Will definitely return occasionally to check the clothes. read more

This location is a GOLD MINE for nice tops and jeans. The staff is so kind, helpful, and friendly! The floor is extremely well organized, with an extensive inventory of nice womens tops. I found a barely worn pair of Anthrolologie chinos and a gorgeous vintage fur coat here. The shoe selection is not to be missed! Numerous high end brands come in from time to time, from Miu Miu (!!!) to nicer store brands like Cole Haan. Lovely location. read more

This location is fairly small, so the selection is pretty limited. Sometimes when you are short on space, you need to do a great job at one or two things instead of trying to be all-encompassing like some of the larger Goodwill locations. The furniture section, in particular, is a bit of a tease; they will always have a couple of items but seldom worthwhile ones. So, this Goodwill is right down the road from where I live, and after brunching at First Watch, my boyfriend and I always stop in. This Goodwill is rather big and fairly clean. I think some of the organization of clothes and items should be fixed, but overall, we can manage to find what we need. I think why we keep coming back to this location is not only where it is located, but also the variety of things they have. They have clothes, shoes and other items of that nature, but they also have nice furniture that comes through (got our patio stuff from here!), glassware, dinnerware, art work, throw pillows, and more! If anything, I wish they had a larger selection of books to choose from, but they still have a decent selection. Also, they have changing rooms! They are maintained well and are really super convenient. The staff have also always been super helpful and very nice when we go to check out. I love this Goodwill. For a long time I steered clear of them because of a couple bad experiences, but after coming here once I've found myself coming back again and again. I always seem to find lots of good stuff here! I'm just over Unique thrift store so I had to find a new large-ish place to get my thrift store fix, and this place does the job. My only complaint is that I'm always confused about prices, and cashiers have rang me up wrong a few times, but aside from that I have no complaints! read more

I visited this Goodwill for the first time a few weeks ago. I found a diamond Anne Klein watch for $4 and an $89 Cuisinart coffee maker for $5, in perfect working order. I didn't search for clothes or shoes but plan on going back to do so. The store is large and spacious. It seemed fairly organized, I mean as organized as a Goodwill can be. I frequent the Hurstbourne Goodwill store frequently as both a purchaser and a donator On Saturday I donated a car load that were packed in boxes and when I pulled up to the donation door was rudely talked to. The woman who was "helping" me yelled at me that she was waiting for me to get out and unload the car. When I asked don't they help she said unloading is not on her contract and I needed to do it myself. I have always had help with unloading so was quite surprised with new development. After I unloaded she moved the boxes around and was slamming all the boxes together and was very annoyed that I needed more than one cart. I have another car load to donate but will definitely go somewhere else where they are polite to customers. read more

This is by far my favorite Goodwill. I have yet to leave without finding a bargain. If you're looking for books, furniture, shoes, or clothes you're in luck .... great selection. However, I've yet to be impressed by the home goods. As long as you're willing to spend time sorting through the clothes racks you're sure to find something. Most of the clothes (and shoes) look brand new or barely worn. I've found many a name brand and only paid a fraction of the retail cost. read more
