The "brick and brack" or Home Goods as other places call it is a bit on the higher priced side and there are many items not priced (which is understandable with that size of store, just difficult when hunting for items). If you're looking for clothes -- they've got them! I adore coming to this Salvation Army, but I don't bring my older friends because the lighting is so dim and I find it difficult to see clearly and often you'll walk out with a pair of shoes or dress that's a shade or two different than what you thought it was inside!

Thank you to the other Yelpers who mentioned that there is no customer bathroom available. I made a stop nearby first for that. Yes, there is no bathroom which is unfortunate as I would have had to leave if I didn't know that in advance. I wish they would consider adding a bathroom as emergencies happen, even if you prepare. Price, selection, quality and unique variety (lots of arts and crafting materials) all great. Super clean and organized so well! Team members were all so nice and seemed like they really liked working there!! That's a good sign. I can't wait to return. I bought a car full of toys, shoes, craft materials, and kitchenware. Oh, and a fab lamp!! The parking lot made me nervous though!! This place was packed on a Thursday at 1:30 pm. Outside of the fact that all items are second hand, and therefore cheaper than a brand new item, the prices are a little higher than other thrifts. However - it's very clean and very well organized, and that requires a lot of staff hours. Everyone that works there knows what they are doing - it's a well oiled machine. It's NOT tiny, just narrow, and it's the best thrift shop I've been to in this area. Most important: the shop is run entirely by volunteers, and 80% of the sales go to local charities. That's a very high percentage! The goods are of exceptionally high quality. You'll find lots of designer clothing in great condition at ridiculous prices. I bought a Calvin Klein patent leather trench coat in perfect shape for seven dollars. Most of the clothing items are three or five dollars, and there are also household goods, seasonal items, and some amazing jewelry. Again, I paid three dollars for a beautiful pendant necklace. When I Googled it after I got home, I found it for sale online in the $45 to $70 range. I saw a brand new down jacket, with the tags still on it, for six bucks. So there's something for everyone. There's a very high turnover, so you need to go often and really look through what's there. The store is very low-tech. Your purchases will be added up by hand on paper. No computers in sight. Bring cash--they don't take credit cards or checks. But it's clean, friendly, and much bigger than it looks. And you can park for free in the municipal lot right across the street. The place is not to be missed.

Unbeknownst to me was that the jacket was missing the main zipper. Yes... the jacket had absolutely NO zipper with which to close out the cold. We discovered this only after I returned home & my 14yo son tried it on. I tried to return asking just for store credit. The store rep - Abby informed me they would not take back the jacket as it was marked "clearance". And that because their buyer "made a mistake" they marked it clearance (30% off original price). When I emphasized that I only wanted store credit and that I would gladly choose something else for my son. I suggested that if they were passing a "mistake" onto a customer, that they should do so with transparency and clearly mark the tag with a note indicating the items flaw, e.g. write "missing main zipper" on tag. Otherwise, I suggested, the omission smacks of deceit and is unethical. She seemed unconcerned. Abby & other employees said with a laugh, "we don't even know how to do that". Meaning they don't know how to do a store exchange. I couldn't help but notice an air of smugness when she said this. Abby was quite bodacious and loud as she exclaimed a refusal in front numerous customers. I felt humiliated and defeated. So they refused to accept the jacket back. Adding insult to injury, Abby offered to take the jacket and donate it! I am a seasoned shopper and loyal customer of Platos. We've purchased clothing for all 3 of my now teen kids for the past several years over the course of numerous growth spurts including a current growth spurt my 14 yo is now experiencing! I don't appreciate the disrespect nor the blatant disregard on full display for other customers to witness and perhaps intended as showcase. I'll simply have to take my business elsewhere. There are the usual sections (Mens, Women's, Kids, Houseware etc). Handbags are hung above a rack of women clothes, and shoes are everywhere which are only sorted by gender but not size. The clothes are sorted by type of clothing and color, not by size. So you really have to look. There is the final clearance rack for 99 cents and they have color of the day sales. Prices are decent. There were employees on the floor restocking merchandise, Checkout was friendly and efficient.

We got 5 or 6 items and paid roughly $25 for them. Christine shared recommendations, and had such a sweet attitude. Really set high standards for the people we'd meet during our visit, and nobody disappointed. They also have a free food shelf for people in the community who are struggling.
