I dropped off 5 watches for the batteries to be fixed, expecting them to get done by the next day which was Saturday. I called Saturday afternoon and no one had started working on them. I finally got them all back on Thursday after having to call and seeing what was taking so long. They let me know that my watch was missing a screw and we're fixing it. When going to Ewings they replace them that day and it takes about 5 - 10 minutes for each one. I just wish there was more communication and there was no dog poop on the mat...I love dogs but when going inside a business, the first thing I do shouldn't have to be going back outside to try and get that off my shoe....

I stopped by the shop, apprehensive because I had my kids in tow, but as soon as we walked in, a Tv show was placed on for them to watch. They had a kid-friendly area complete with toys and complimentary drinks. This local shop has thought of everything for customer comfort. I got to speak with John and he even increased his initial estimate, so I walked away with more than expected which was a delight. The real gem was how kindly we were treated (like one of the family)! Everyone was so genuine. I've worked in the customer service industry for 10+ years, and it is evident John and his family really care about their customers. They took my kids behind the counter, handed them a black light they got to use to illuminate some gems, and even let them pick out 2 gems to keep! It was the highlight of their week! When I mentioned they are homeschooled, John said any time if they ever have any questions about gems/rocks to bring them in! Thank you John and Family, you earned customers for life by us. I would recommend stopping by the store for transparent, fair pricing, and outstanding customer service in all jewelry needs.

I asked why they didn't call and he said they had the wrong number, even though I have the receipt and it says the right number. The next week was another excuse and the week after that. I never got my stone replaced but that isn't why I'm rating this place 1 star. Communication was never there and they had over a month to at least let me know what was going on and keep me in the loop.

They had a portable touch screen for permission signatures & we were in and out fairly quickly. They marked, asked for approvals & used a gun to immediately pierce the mark(s). Be prepared to spend a grip though! Claire's prices sure aren't what they used to be when I was a teen. They do have a special pricing if you're part of the club & random "deals" but quite honestly, it's still a bit outrageous for cheap costume jewelry, accessories, etc. I try my best to keep my little shopper out of this store at all costs.
