Most of the clothes and shoes were organized by color/size. Don't forget to look at the sign when you enter, items are on sale based on the color of the week/day. The donation box is also inside the store if you wish to donate your items. I found a cute onesie and toddler shirt for $3.70 total. Thrift shopping is like treasure hunting, sometimes you find something good, other times you don't. Overall, a decent thrift shop for a good cause.

The store is larger than the one we customarily visit in Simsbury, so I didn't feel cramped walking around alongside a fair number of fellow shoppers. It's very neat and well organized inside and seemed to have a lot of merchandise. I saw the usual dishes, housewares, women's and men's shoes (including some gorgeous Air Jordans), shirts, blouses, outerwear, pants and jeans, plus sportscoats and men's suits ($25 or so). Some of the more unusual things I saw was an impressive collection of "I Love Lucy" memorabilia, and hiding among the audio CD's was a William Hung CD! He made quite a splash on American Idol 20 years ago, and if you're too young to know who he is, go check him out on YouTube. I bought a long sleeve white dress shirt, a red tie, and my wife bought a long sleeve top. After the 35% discount we paid an obscene $16 for everything. Yes, quite the bargain indeed. PRO TIP Parking is a bit of a toss-up, their lot is micro-sized, so you'll probably end up parking on a side street like we did.

I've bought beautiful designer work suits from Bananna Replublic, Ralph Lauren etc for $12.99. But here's what's going on as of April 2015-they shipped out most of the clothing to other SA so now the Newington store is strictly furniture and electronics, anything for the home.. I was told Newington is the furniture distribution center for all CT stores and I'm telling you the sofas (few leather sofas) are priced under $300 which you probably pay well over 5xs the price. I was impressed and tell people every chance I get to go there. Over 9 - 10 trucks a day come into the store a with goods. Savers and Goodwill doesn't even compare with the quality goods I've seen at Salvation Army in Newington, CT. Signed, Savvy Shopper

The store has so many cool and interesting little things, like beaded keychains, hair accessories, candles, jewelry, greeting cards and decor. Some of it is vintage and some is locally hand made. I saw a Dior coat, and some items by Burberry and by Alexander McQueen. They are selective about their selection of items they accept. There isn't any of that awful stuffy smell. It feels and looks like everything is brand new. It's easy to look and touch things without the fear of everything falling. This store isn't stuffed at all. I can't wait to return and see what else they have.

I remember the last Goodwill I went to; they priced over the 1.25 dollar tree price as 2.99 I could not help but laugh out loud at the ridiculousness as I put it right back on the shelf. On this occasion we went looking to see if we could find a costume dress but ended up finding a lot of other things priced reasonably.
