This is just a "drop" not a "shop" location and it's fairly convenient, just off Carefree Highway, though the parking lot can be a bit crowded due to the DQ next door and the Mountainside Fitness. The people are awesome though and the only way it could've been better is if there were a more "drive through" however there are two designated parking spaces specifically for "drop offs" and the guys (gals, whatever, please don't PC me to death) are quick to come and unload your donations. Good to give to Goodwill and pretty easy too. Thanks! (The Happy Valley Road location down I-17 has a drive-up area for larger items and it is also a "shop" location.) read more

I donate to this location all the time (27th & Carefree) The tall thin older man that works there is never nice but today was the final straw. He was very short with me and extremely rude and condescending. I will not be donating items here any longer because of the way he has treated me. I called the Anthem Location to ask a question and the manager was incredibly nice and patient with me and went above and beyond to help me! read more

Hello my name is Ashleigh, I just went to the goodwill in anthem Arizona! I am very very upset!!! I purchased over 100$ worth of stuff including a dresser, when I went to the back to pick it up, they asked for my recite. I gave them it and they said what did you purchase I told them a little wood dresser. They began to question me and say well what dresser and where did you purchase it. I told them where it was and how much I spent on it. 19.99$ They brought it out after a couple of minutes saying the person who rang me up rang it up wrong. I told him okay? How is that my fault? He said all they labeled it as is wood I said okay? Then he then told me I need to pull my truck around the other way I told him okay will do, he said NOW MAAM! I began to get frustrated and said I was working on it give me a second, he then said I am very busy..... I said again OKAY!!!! Pulled my truck around and when I did he then told me it isn't going to fit! I said okay I'll move my seats down he then raised his voice at me and said ma'am it is not going to fit come back later with a different vehicle! I then asked why he hadn't even tried to put it in the back of the truck he said if you can do it then do it yourself and left it there for me to do myself!!!! I then did it all by myself! With no help! I pulled around to the front of the store was able to get it in my lifted truck all alone!!!! I am so upset! They didn't even try and help me and the way the spoke to me was so rude!!!! I was at this location today. I frequently shop this store. While a lot of people were nice I…read moreencountered a very rude employee. This is a mature woman with dyed black hair...grey roots and glasses. I was going through items to purchase. I smiled at her and said hello and she ignored me and gave me a dirty look. I encountered her again while hanging unwanted clothes on an end cap. All hung up and ready to go back on the floor. She came over loudly huffing and puffing and ripped them off the rack. If this is a problem Goodwill should have a go back rack. The dressing rooms have already been taken. People still need mirrors to decide and a place to put go backs without being treated rudely. We are already paying higher prices at Goodwill for donated items...and asked to donate more money at the register. Going to lose customers.

Unfortunately, I have to be in a Wi-Fi area in order to use my phone like that. And they don't have Wi-Fi. I needed very specific things size wise. And you're not allowed to open packaging but when you pick up a lamp and you lightly shake it and you hear broken glass, but you're not allowed to open up the package and see what exactly broke why bother buying it at half price if you're not gonna be able to use it. This happened repeatedly also I was looking for a specific size bathroom medicine cabinet. Since much of the writing on the boxes didn't have dimensions, and I couldn't open the boxes because it's against the rules. I could find boxes that I think might've had the right sized item inside but I really couldn't take the gamble especially when I can't see if they're scratches or dents or a door ripped off, etc. I think the only thing I will come back here for is tile. If you're doing a craft project and you need a few pieces of tile or you're doing something special to cover a table top and you only need a few feet. This is the place to come for the tile. Unfortunately, the majority of the tile is not labeled and not priced and I hate having to run up to the counter every single time I find something to find out how much it's gonna cost. It's just ridiculous. I found a similar place, not too far away, where the people don't mind if you open the items to look at them and they will even go so far as to take a light fixture and wire it to a test area to show you that it works. So I think I will keep going to this other place instead.
