From their website, they accept money, canned goods, cereal, paper products, soap and cleaning items, and baby products. There's a list of additional products they accept posted on their door. Also, they distribute food on the 2nd & 4th Friday of the month from 10am-1pm. They DO NOT accept clothes (there's a clothing collection bin in the parking lot from another organization you could use). Either way, I'm happy I found this place to donate my things before I moved away.

After I dropped them off I asked for a receipt for my taxes, the lady got very rude, I asked for $50 she laughed in my face and yelled, "$50 for three bags of groceries??? I don't think so!" and then wanted to haggle with me about my receipt for a tax deduction. I had the receipt from the store but it had my home groceries plus the donated groceries on one receipt. I will NEVER EVER donate there again. Instead of thanking you they make you feel like a criminal. I left angry, not what I expected after spending $50 on groceries for the poor. GIVE SOMEPLACE ELSE. JERKS.

There is a lot of room and light to examine each piece. It's the most wonderful antique shop I've ever been in. Delivery was on-time as scheduled and Zachary & Keith were great. They were professional, polite, careful, and helpful with set-up and with explaining how to change the shelf positions and remove the doors if I ever needed to in the future! The community kitchen is just one example of how the organization endeavors to provide nutritional meals to those in our community. There are a number of ways to contribute to Food Gatherers. You can volunteer at the warehouse on 1 Carrot Way, inside the community kitchen (cook, clean and serve) or as a Food Runner delivering meals. Individuals can also volunteer for special events. Visit the website to learn more and sign up as an individual or as a group. Food Gatherers offers meals to anyone in Washtenaw County in need 364 days a year. Anyone in need is welcome to come for a meal; Lunch is served Monday-Friday 12-1pm and dinner is 5:30-6:30pm. On the weekends and holidays, from 3:00-4:00pm there is one community meal.

They all went out of their way to welcome M&D and help them transition to their new home. Even Kara in billing helped by providing billing details for our insurance company. When questions or concerns came up, all I had to do was ask and the team responded with solutions that fit our needs. It is very comforting to know that my parents are in a safe and loving environment, and if they need anything at all, it's just the push of a button away. I was able to watch the gentleman who helped me weigh what I brought in, he showed me the entire calculation of what they were offering, including the rates. This was refreshing as some other store hid their scales and were shady about the numbers they relayed to me. My one recommendation coming out of this is to get multiple offers for what you are selling. I'm not naming names of any competitors or anything like that in this review, you have to do your own due dillegence and drive around a bit when you sell. I'm sure there are many other factors including recent purchases, refiner's cuts, etc. for each store to consider when they make an offer. I will say that for silver, at the time of my visit, this store was not offering a competitive rate compared to every other store that I visited. This may change from time to time due to the factors I listed above (and others), but at the time of my visit, it simply was not close to market rate. I will still give the store a 5 star rating, particularly for their honesty. I'm putting it out there yet again for inexperienced sellers who are going through an estate similar to myself, take the time to GET MULTIPLE OFFERS from different stores. The final price I sold my items for was significantly higher than what I was offered here. Having said all of that, I would not hesitate to return to this store in the future. The most professional and nicest people I met on my journey to sell.

When I…read morecalled him out on it he decided that he owed me another $20 when I contested it with him he said we were done and asked me to leave his store. He is a cheat and a crook. He doesn't ever pay you what his website says that they pay for gold. He says that unless your selling him 15 grams you won't get that price. No wonder he's going out of business. He re-sells alot of used jewelry that people scrap. I would suggest going to another gold buyer so you don't go through what I did. Andre you disappointed me.
