I volunteered with Habitat when I was in college, and free pickup was part of how Habitat secured donations. That's how pretty much every nonprofit works, and if I didn't have multiple truckloads I would normally just load it up myself and take it over. I have purchased a house fully furnished three miles away from this location, and I have had a dumpster on site for the furniture that is not acceptable. This location told me it would cost $697 for them to send a truck out to take all of the furniture they wanted. Hard pass. read more

Stopped by here a few weeks ago when I was in town because my boyfriend has been on a hunt for baseball bats and gloves for decor purposes lol. New bats are super expensive, so we have been checking Goodwills. ***LOCATION*** Plenty of parking out front in the strip center lot! ***EXPERIENCE*** I just walked in and walked directly to the sports things. I found a baseball bat (yay) for 4$! So I went to checkout and saw the checkout line got fancy! They have an organized line with little shelves of stuff like normal stores, for some last min impulse purchases! They had some good things! I like that they had new items too. They had a stock of measuring scoops, which I picked up as well because he also just moved to a new place and didn't have any measuring tools, which has been a pain when I try to cook there! So for a couple of dollars, I grabbed a new pack! They also have snacks and drinks. Idk about y'all but Goodwill does not increase my appetite. I always feel the need to urgently wash my hands when leaving, so I doubt I'd ever grab a bag of chips at the checkout, but love that they had some things like that, that I have never seen before. ***STAFF*** Normal, just a quick checkout interaction. ***PRICE*** A bat for 4$ is a steal haha ***FOOD/DRINKS*** Well they do have them if you get hungry lol. ***CONCLUSION*** A basic Goodwill. It's so SAD as much as I have supported, bought, and went to several free classes yall offered, that I bought a pair of black slacks ($5.99) from your Conyers, Georgia store yesterday and they didn't fit, and I couldn't even exchange them. They had the tag still on them. I didn't try them on at the store because I got bitten by something on the inner part of my leg the last time, and was sick several days. I haven't tried on anything since then. I've NEVER tried bringing anything back in the past. The young nonchalant manger, with such rude attitude didn't make it any better. I'll stick with going to Value Village and Salvation Army, when I go thrift shopping from here on out. I just left the whole bag and receipt with the young manager, as a donation. read more

This is the best Goodwill I've ever been to. For reals. While this place is teeny tiny, its an older store which is a huge plus. My secret Goodwill tip? Older Goodwill stores seem to always have better stuff, especially vintage. I found some AMAZING finds which I will list below: Authentic vintage Dooney & Bourke messenger bag (not special priced either!) Vintage sequin dress (which I plan on turning into a blouse) Vintage lace dress (think Great Gatsby) Leather Wilson's skirt Nine West Shoes Cache leather belt 3 DVDs for hubby Total? $36. Holy moly! I believe it was the manager at the register who made me smile from ear to ear just a few minutes ago with her Thank you for shopping at Goodwill statement. I will most certainly shop at her location again. It felt so good to Smile from ear to ear. No other goodwill store said what she did. I also got a chance to ring the bell for the first time. I go into Conyers, GA Goodwill at least 4 times per week and practically every Sunday.Today I found a Dooney & Bourke purse, which was "DONATED",with the regular price purses of $4.99. When I went to the register to pay, the cashier noticed that the little plastic tag wasn't on the item. The manager took the purse and said that it had to be reprocessed, and wouldn't sell it to me!! I'm sure it was a "bait" so that he can mark it up to some ridiculous "special" price. It wasn't my fault that the bag was misplaced and, the price should have been honored! For all I know, an employee could have hidden it over there to price it later for a friend to come in and purchase later! For Pete's Sakes, the purse was DONATED! The employees at this store seem terrified of doing something wrong and getting terminated, and are allowed to make any decision without a manager's input. I purchased another item and left the store disappointed and frustrated!! I may have to curtail my visits to Conyers Goodwill! Before this experience, I would have rated 5stars! read more

I can always find a good deal here. Whether it's a book, a shirt or a used sofa There is always some treasure I just can't live without. Most of the time the employees are friendly. Every once in a while you get someone that's just ready to be off work. I love this place. Definitely worth the visit. read more
