This thrift store had/has some fabulous items. It is a medium sized thrift store. Overall, it is very well organized. I went with my adult daughter. She found 1 shoe, barely worn, of a black slip on by Doc Marten in her size! We looked and looked. We never found the mate. I also found a single shoe. I was only semi interested in them so not finding its mate was .. C'est la vie *such is life* (no big deal). Dang it! If someone was having a 70s party, I found the perfect jacket in my size. I didn't buy it. I just keep thinking about it. We also came across rad crop top shirts. Too small for me and not my daughter's style. I loved them nonetheless. I did buy something I absolutely do not need. It was a mini grocery cart with wheels. $2.99. What a steal. Cool selection. Not far from the freeway off-ramp. I would absolutely revisit this store. read more

My wife and I have been shopping at this Goodwill location for many years and have always enjoyed our visits. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was very disappointing. As soon as we walked into the store, we noticed a significant change in the atmosphere. There appeared to be a new manager on duty, I assume we've never seen him based on his name tag it appeared to be Abraham-Manager. Unlike our previous visits, no one greeted us when we entered. What stood out even more was overhearing this individual speaking negatively about other employees near the front of the store. The cashier's response and body language made it seem like she was uncomfortable and hesitant to speak up. The overall condition of the store was also noticeably worse than what we've come to expect. It was the emptiest we've ever seen it, merchandise was scattered throughout the wrong sections, and several areas appeared messy and unorganized. The store simply did not feel welcoming, clean, or well-managed. We've supported this location for years because of the friendly staff and positive shopping experience, but this visit left us disappointed. As a result of this experience, we will no longer be recommending shopping at this location to friends and family. We hope management takes these concerns seriously and works to restore the welcoming environment that once made this store a great place to shop. read more

They are one of the few thrift stores that accept large furniture. Other thrift stores even turn away chairs! Be Advised: they sometimes close between 2-3:00 pm for lunch if they don't have enough help that day to keep the store open during their lunchtime. read more

Prices keep going up! I was there yesterday and I couldn't even move the clothes on the racks because there are so many and they are so overpriced that Goodwill can't move them out. Their stuff ends up in the landfill because they can't sell it. They have gotten so rediculous with their attempts to price "designer brands" or follow trends. Why can't they just be a thrift store? Manager Cassandra was beyond rude when she did an exchange for me. She accused me attaching fake tags to an items I purchased one day before. Stated "what is this you put in front of me" then gave me the exchange anyway when I stated I will report her to corporate. I was beyond shocked by her condescending attitude. She needs to be fired. Excellent service in terms of accepting donations. Every time I donate items, there is at least someone there to welcome the customers.

I enjoy stopping by this Goodwill on Mondays when I am visiting from Bakersfield. I find tons of Urban Outfitters and Free People here for an inexpensive price, plus with my student discount of 25% off it's a good deal. I end up leaving with around 10-15 items for $50 and under. The designer rack, I don't bother with. I do find it odd how many damaged items they sale. Like damaged suedes "as-is" for $30+. I could tell that someone entire closet of retro-rockabilly clothing was donated and a lot of the dresses were $60+. Yes, they were in good condition and these dresses new are $120-$200, but it's definitely not a price I'm willing to pay at Goodwill. The lack of dressing rooms is disappointing as well. And most people have to try clothes on in front of the mirrors. read more

I've never been to a Goodwill this overpriced. The clothes are same prices as other Goodwill, they have a standard based on category of short sleeved, long sleeved tops and so forth. But the kitchen ware, home decor, the little knick knacks are so overpriced! A little wooden side table, no drawers, was priced $59.99. It just takes the fun out of thrifting. read more

I think everyone that works here is amazing. The people who sit there and want to be fucking greedy, want discounted things, and this and that and also the people who complain about a retail store closing 5-10 minutes early should be knocked over the head with some fucking sense. These are the same people who don't have any sort of retail establishment experience. Why come into the Goodwill 20 minutes before it closes when you've had all fucking day to go? The same stuff will be there in the morning and probably into the next evening, it's never nothing special. What people fail to understand is that the store is already takes half an hour in itself to clean up afterwards, not to mention counting the money as well. I would not recommend this thrift store to anyone. it is so ridiculously over priced, so disorganized, and the workers don't have patience at all. I dealt with a girl named Natalia on Monday, and might I say she seemed so bothered to help me. I asked for a bag and she stood there with a an attitude. it took my daughter to speak up and ask her again for a bag. bad customer service will always be a huge problem for me. why work at this store if you are going to be negative?! The racks are way too filled, and make it nearly impossible to go through the clothes. Nordstrom Rackwill? I've been coming here for a long time and this is hands down the WORST goodwill in Ventura county. Whoever prices these items/runs this store must be a crackhead that's completely brain dead and lives under a rock. Almost every item is overpriced no matter what condition it's in and every item is "name brand" even crap brands like Goodfellow, Kirkland etc. (Refer to my pictures for the overpriced BS and terrible condition of their 'name brand' items). Not only are their prices bullsheet but it smells like a homeless encampment as soon as you step foot in the door, completely disorganized, and everything is just thrown around especially in the middle random items section. I hate this store so much I hope it gets shut down by the IRS for how much they are price gouging their donated items that they received for FREE! Or by the health department for how dirty, smelly and unorganized this $h*t hole of a store is. read more

I've been coming here for a while. Probably been here 40+ times. I know all prices are up due to the pandemic but this store is taking it to new levels. I do not experience this as badly at some of the other Ventura County Goodwill - except TO which is also actually even more with the crazy mark ups. If you are looking for cheap brands (Target, Walmart, lower end mall brands like Gap or no name type brands) this would be a great place to shop. And some of the clothes from these store are very cute. If you are hoping to find some gems of even moderately retail priced brands or even designer - mall brands like J Crew, Athleta, Lululemon, etc)- or designer like Ecco, Agolde, etc those are few and far between that have not been marked up. The designer racks keep getting larger and larger and there are more of them. I mean a brand like Banana Republic? Not a designer brand. My challenge is that a good amount of the marked up are damaged or super worn or just frankly far out of style. I am not paying a consignment store price for damaged items. Other markups are easily and more cheaply available online at multiple sites. Some things, even when marked up, are still pretty good price but those are pretty tough to find. EG In the spring I found a pair of used Levi Shaping Straight Jeans which I love - regular price so $8. Same with a pair of Democracy jeans. Now both would likely be around $15 or more. Even though they are not designer. I come here to thrift for me and friends and family and now I leave pretty often without anything. Or one or two things. The shoes are just forget it. Jeans are cheap fast fashion or damaged or old and far out of any style. Tops racks are bursting and super hard to look through so I just don't anymore. It feels like a store with an identity crisis. Perhaps open a Goodwill boutique here?? Marked up brands include Lucky (why? It's so oversaturated everywhere online and super cheap), Vince, Tommy Bahama, White House Black Market, Athleta, Lululemon, some LuLaRoe, Joe's and any other Jean brand that Nordstrom rack carries basically, Columbia (ditto Lucky), The North Face, Some ASICS - you get the idea. Any designer is also, goes without saying, marked up. It must take a long time to go through donations and pick out all these and individually price them. I thought thrift model was more one price and go for volume. Could be the model has changed. You can find things occasionally but it's much more difficult now. Maybe I am just reminiscing about how thrift stores used to be thrift stores. You could go in and find some great items and if you didn't have a lot of money (me!) that was almost the only way to have a chance at nicer clothes. IMHO if you are going to continue to markup everything then put it on auction and remove from the store or be known as the Goodwill Consignment and Thrift Stores. read more

I was donating my stuff today while the young man was on lunch so I waited he came back and opened the door. This lady thought she could just leave her items outside while he was opening the doors. With covid rules you must empty your items on your own which is on the door for her to clearly read... it blows my mind how people think they're time is better than others. I'm giving the store itself 5 stars because the young donation attendant handled her ignorance with kindness and didn't say a word as he handled her donations risking his health for her benefit. I come to this Goodwill to check if they have any pet supplies. For some reason most of the thrift stores in the area don't ever carry any and this one does. I've found some cool stuff here in the past, a designer dog tote, terrariums, travel crates, small animal accessories etc. The pet selection isn't big and sometimes isn't at all, but I like to check. Beyond that, they're decent for women's shoes, women's clothes, some men's suits, clothes, kid's clothes, and a little kitchen stuff. The store is clean enough and the staff are polite. It's worth a stop if you just want to browse around. read more

Nope. No dressing room. No exchange for credit. No weekly 1/2 off colors. Jacked up prices for B- and C-list designers (Eileen Fisher, really?). Wonky carts. No women's jackets or blazers on my visit. Very few accessories. Some areas can't be navigated with a cart. Cashier completely miscalled who was next in line. At one point, the cashiers all stood in a cluster and ignored patrons while they discussed what they'd have for lunch. Some racks are packed so tight there isn't room to view the items without pulling them out. This, of course, creates a mess as patrons don't want the hassle of re-hanging the items. There was a young Black man stocking inventory yesterday between 12:00pm and 1:45pm who was polite and helpful. Otherwise, among the worst Goodwills I've ever shopped. read more

EXTREMELY OVERPRICED!!! The Goodwill is based on donations. Yes Target gives them their old returns but items mainly come from families. Old toys old clothing. Recently everything that is not clothing and marked normally is extremely over priced. Today I went in and saw an old scratched up dented iron man helmet a kids toy, it was priced 14.99. Not completely sure why. They had a blender piece not even the bottom part of the actual blender it was marked 29.99. All the men's coats were priced 49.99 they were old NOT VINTAGE but to guess that's what goodwill employees think. People go in to find good deals and not buy cheap used goods priced over market. You could go into a wal mart and buy brand new. Who prices these items? Do they think they're worth that much? It's not even fun to go in and shop around because everything is so expensive. It's like they are an antiques store instead of a used donations store. Extremely disappointed in what they have become. Money hungry. And when you go to pay, they ask you to donate even more on top of the overly priced used things they are getting you for in the first place. read more

It's the worst thrift store that can exist! Worst Goodwill in the whole chain. Employees and store managers are extremely rude and not doing their job. Working in the services it means you have to please the customers who spend money in your store not treat them like bags of trash! These people are so bad,you won't believe it! You don't have to believe me...just go shop there and see it for yourself. I've been bringing things to donate to the ARC foundation, goodwill, and the rescue mission, for years. This goodwill is the worst facility. When you drop things off the people who are supposed to be helping you are curt, unfriendly, not even a greeting or smile, and will only point as to where to put your things. They don't actually help you. Kindness doesn't cost anything. I will go back to ARC on Oxnard Boulevard in Oxnard from now on! We are not looking for thank you 's, but his senior citizens, it would've been nice for that young man to ask if we needed any help. read more

Refused to take our donations even tho the store closes at 8. The very dry gentleman working the donation intake area out back informed me that they stopped taking donations 10 whole minutes before we arrived. I asked very nicely if we could please just leave them because it took us forever to pack everything into our car and we have items that are worth money like electronics and such that we wanted to donate instead of throw away; however he very dryly just repeated they stopped taking them 10 minutes ago... I guess no good deed goes unpunished is accurate. Maybe the website should mention something about stopping taking donations at 7:30 so more people aren't forced to go home and unload all the donations they packed in the car read more

This Goodwill is the only store I have witness they follow the corporate policies. I asked for a price and they said they could not get it for me. It will go back to the back and I would have to wait a long time for the price and item to come out in the next cart. Didn't even blink an eye to help the customer. The prices are higher since the pandemic. Their CEO makes millions and the staff gets minimum and they have the gall to ask for money donations to round up the change.
