Forgot to update this. I figured I gave too harsh of a review. I came back a week later, and there were a BUNCH of shorts. Still, they were priced pretty high. Many things in the store priced incorrectly. I came back a third time and noticed their furniture to be a great deal though. Whoever was pricing that, was pricing too low. Got a great deal on a glass table. I'll keep an eye on this place. Maybe I'll give an even better score if the prices all level out. read more

With this economy, everyone has to rethink their finances.GW use to be a bargain where you could fit the entire family at a reasonable cost. Aside from discounted tags, which gets picked through on day one and $1.99 Mondays, GW has just become another retail market. Their prices are outrageous considering they get them for FREE! I realize they have overhead and staff to pay but they no longer are considered the best in thrift and we've all gone elsewhere to support local charities, etc. Boo on you for lining your own pockets with consumers just trying to get by. read more

WARNING -- They don't take kindly to resellers at this store. I tried to be considerate and go to an empty corner to check sell thru rates on my haul but the manager stalked me and swooped up a stack of items that I had carefully set aside trying to sort, organize and reconsider. There is really nowhere in the store to do this as the carts are usually all taken by the time you need an extra one. I could have gone to the furniture section but I'm sure she would have found me there as well. As if resellers weren't their bread and butter. If it wasn't for us this goodwill would probably shut down with prices like this in Bremerton of all places which is very blue collar, military and depressed economically. So if you don't like being rushed and watched I would stay clear of this place. I had a sweater in my basket that didn't have a price tag and the unfriendly clerk called for a manager to do a price check and guess who showed up? Stalker Lady herself who gave some outlandish price after closely inspecting the sweater and holding it up to the light as if it were an Antwerp diamond. I prefer the goodwill in gig harbor because at least the clerks do their own pricing and they are fair. ONE last thing: Goodwill as a whole needs to understand that you can't catch Covid from a toilet seat. For godsake open the bathrooms, every other retail establishment has kept their bathrooms open throughout the Pandemic. If Goodwill is going to charge retail prices then they damn well better start treating their customers better. That means saying thank-you when someone donates or makes a purchase and providing basic facilities like a bathroom and somewhere to wash hands. I have seen the aftermath of homeless people taking a dump on the floor, either that or some kids diaper had a hole in it. read more

Donations are easy peasy. The staff is fast friendly and helpful. The store is organized, clean, well lit & smells good.

Very overpriced and often long lines to donate. They also wouldn't take items I had to donate and I asked where I could take them and they said I could take them to the dump. I'd have to PAY to get rid of them at the dump and then they'd go to a landfill instead of possibly being of use to someone else. I'd skip this one and drive out to Silverdale or go to St Vincent's. read more

Multiple times now, I have attempted to donate different items and have had my items HEAVILY scrutinized by the same employee. At this point I suspect he is purposefully being antagonistic, because during my most recent attempt to donate a piece of furniture I was very condescendingly told that he wouldn't take it because of "the paint job". There was nothing wrong with the paint on the item, so I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was super nice and said they already had a lot of furniture on the floor, but that he would take my item because it was in such good condition that he was sure it would sell right away. This is just one example of the poor donating experience I've had here, but the common denominator has been this one employee who always rudely tells me that he can't my items due to some weird "issue" he finds (another time I attempted to donate a chair that didn't come with cushions, and he insisted that there must be some type of cushion to go with it... Like, what???) I don't know what the employee's name is, but he is *large* guy. If my items can't be taken because there's not enough room on the floor, then that's one thing. But it's another to constantly have my items criticized as if this dude is the Creative Director of Goodwill. read more

Expensive for a second-rate thrift store, nothing thrifty about it. When baskets you can get at St Vinnie's for fifty cents cost $8.00 at this Goodwill, you kinda know you gotta go to St Vinny's instead. You can sometimes find stuff "hidden" by people hoping to come back on a half-price day for a given sticker color, but they never remember to come back. Always interesting to see what people thought worth hiding for later though. The little votive candle holders they usually sell for 99 cents in this branch were priced $4 at christmas because they were red or green, same ones that cost $2 brand new though in sets of four or six or a dozen. Each Goodwill must have their own deciders-of-prices, as only in the Bremerton store have I seen things priced as though richer people than I buy used stuff. St. Vinnie's is always the better place to find things you might even cherish, for really inexpensive, but the occasional Goodwill, including the one in Silverdale, are more rewarding for us impoverished treasure hunters. Little treasures do turn up in the Bremerton store but they may well be one-sixth the price at the dollar store. read more

Especially when we find something cool and useful in our price range. But recently we had gone to the Bremerton store location and every time we go in.... we get let down. First time: My wife was inquiring about a old 50's sofa that was not clean but in good shape and asked a Goodwill representative for a price, while my wife waited, the employee finally came back after 15 mins and told her that the price for the sofa was going to be $150. My wife ask why so much? The employee said that "THEY" think she was a DEALER???? WTF???? It doesn't matter if she was a Dealer or Not! THAT IS NOT RIGHT! Second time: This time I was with her. I had bought a tape recorder from the Port Orchard store on Saturday but it didn't not work when I took it home and added batteries and since we worked all week, we finally had an opportunity to return the item in the Bremerton store on the following Saturday. A WEEK LATER! I know the policy "in 7 days you can not return the item back even if it is working or not. This was my only time to return the item and they told me that I can not return the item to their store "BREMERTON STORE" because I didn't buy it from the Bremerton location............ AGAIN WTF!?!?!? VERY BAD SERVICE! Third time: Which was the most recent issue with the Bremerton Store. We had found a pair of never been worn jeans that had no price "AGAIN!" we also found another pair of never worn jeans made by the same company but different styles that had a price tag. The PRICE was $6.99...... We ask about the price and AGAIN...... Took 10 mins..... I was F**KING SHOCKED ON THE PRICE!?!?!? NOTE: SAME JEAN BRAND COMPANY, SAME COLOR JEANS, AND NEVER BEEN WORN. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE WAS THE STYLE. ONE WAS STRAIGHT LEG THE OTHER WAS WIDE LEG....... Get this! here is the SHOCKER! The employee comes back and told us the PRICE was wrong and the NEW PRICE was $9.99!!!! WHAT THE F**K! ARE YOU JOKING!!!! How do you go from $6.99 to $9.99 in price and then tell us the other item was missed labeled? Never again will we be ever going back to the Bremerton Goodwill Store. High prices! Get many items for the same price or just a few dollars more, brand new at Walmart!

First of all, attention to the community and public!! The regional director of operations for the Goodwill that oversees Kitsap, King, and Pierce county has completely revamped the book sections at Goodwill!! They claim the books aren't selling. This is false! And, no excuse for removing nonfiction books and leaving fiction garbage. Nice try, not buying!! They have completely removed entire genre's of the books they are selling. All that's left are junk fiction and cookbooks. It's disgraceful and offensive how they are trying to control what the community has access to in regards to knowledge and education. This is called, "CENSORSHIP" on the highest level!! The problem here is they are still accepting ALL book donations but not selling most of the books. Hmmm?? I wonder if they are secretly destroying particular books!?? STOP donating to Goodwill NOW, especially your books. Donate to some other cause because this is unacceptable. They think we are too stupid to notice?? The public deserves to know and will know what is going on. Your excuse about books not selling is a boldface lie. You still have books on your shelves from last year but you removed whole sections of newer books. Goodwill, you can no longer take from the community and claim to support jobs and help. We are seeing the truth of what you really are--money hungry! You've lost my business and respect. I will make sure everyone knows! read more

This is one of my most favorite Thrift Stores in Washington state. I call it goodwill heaven. Could it be because the Goodwill does collect from Bainbridge Island-and trucks it over to this warehouse of a store? I have found Alexander McQueen, vintage Halston, Cordani shoes from Italy, and many more things in my home are from there. On Mondays they have special sales for items at less than two dollars. If your from Oregon, remember to show your ID so you won't have to pay sales tax.(That goes for all purchases you make in WA. during your stay.) read more

My parents and I regularly shop at this Goodwill and the one in Silverdale, every Saturday. I have an interesting thing to say about this Goodwill. There is a ghost there. Or, some items may be haunted I don't know for sure. I'm talking about the knick knack aisle and the candles and vases aisle in particular. I noticed a planter flew off the shelf one day and didn't think too much about it until another time I saw another knick knack get flung off the shelf. It even arced as it was falling. And another time my mom and I were in the knick knack aisle again and two things simultaneously went flying off the shelf and we were just thinking how weird that was. At first I thought it may just be falling off the shelf but I have seen items going up in the air then down and with force. So it happened again today when my dad and I was in the knick knack aisle. I watched something fly off the shelf behind my dad. He only heard it but I told him about the other times I witnessed things flying off the shelves. So, just be warned. If something falls onto the floor in that aisle, it's probably the ghost trying to get your attention. It seems like it could possibly be the items that are haunted since the knick knacks tend to be old unwanted sentimental pieces of old. Stuff your grandparents left you when they died and you don't want so you donated it to Goodwill type of things. So, if you do happen to find whatever it is you're looking for there, remember it belonged to someone at one time and they probably gave it some love and this Goodwill does have treasures, that's why we go there every weekend. This thift store has a variety of items for sale. I have purchased a couple good looking blouses here for only $3. There is usually a nice assortment of clothing here. I find that other items are usually overpriced considering they were all donated to begin with. Yes, I know it's a worthy cause. So is my pocketbook. read more

I like this Goodwill, as far as Women's shirts go. I always find something here. Pants are a bit harder to find, as they don't carry alot of the "bigger" female sizes. I'm a 80's-90's collector, gamer, and I like anime, so I always try to find something of that nature, but it's usually not easy to find. I wish they carried more things like that, older toys and such. But it seems like alot of junk for the most part, newer toys. Where's all the old Gi Joes and action figures? Or Dreamcast games, or DDR pads? Haha. Otherwise, I usually find at least a few things I like here. Though sometimes they are a tad bit overpriced. I once found a pair of jeans with a big marker line on them for $10. read more

My least favorite of the 3 Goodwills in Kitsap. The clothing selection is far more limited, as is the books and furniture. I have had very good luck with DVD's there, but honestly, that's it. So I skip this location and drive over to Silverdale if I'm actually looking for something specific. This is in a strip mall with ample parking, but there's not much else to do in the shopping center, unless you need dog food or hair dye. I will say this place has always been clean when I went, but for some reason feels older/junkier than the other two. Like I said, not my fave. read more

I call it "Goodwill Hunting" - original, I know. But the Bremerton Goodwill has been a favorite place to find books, music, and more for many years. The store is well organized, and it's very easy to spend an hour or more browsing its shelves to see what you might find. I'm not sure what my favorite Goodwill find has been - perhaps the first edition Susan Minot hardback for $3.00, or the beautiful wrought-iron queen-size bedframe for $50? There have been so many. The selection is always changing, the price is generally reasonable, and the staff is friendly. The Bremerton Goodwill is one of my favorite local spots for hunting. read more

In terms of clothes, it all depend on what you are looking for. Men's appearal have a wonderful array of flannels, t-shirts and out of style jeans. if you are just a t-shirt and jeans guy, goodwill is freaking jackpot. Women's appearal is a lot more eccelctic, a lot of selections on blouses, jeans, jackets, and whatnot. Finding "trendy" wear can be difficult at the bremerton goodwill. you'll really have to dig deep and spend a good half an hour to an hour looking..both men's and women's section. i don't quite trust any of the furnishing items or electronics, i have alway avoided those. goodwill does have a giant selection of dvds, vhs and an amazing librabry of cds containing one hit wonder artists and cds you would find in the misc. aisle back in 1998 and prior. it's fun looking through those. to conclude, if you keep it simple, goodwill is good. if you are into the whole fashion craze, you may find that hip acid wash jeans you are looking for...but i recommend taking a trip to seattle for vintage clothes. read more

Straight up this one is big and mostly not filled with things you are going to Be super interested in. This review and the store are as similar as you make them. I personally feel like they could have a morbid vibe here and it would still get plenty of business because size/location. If you're looking for job training you've come to the right place as they offer classes within the community to help people get up and going. Only reason why I'm handing out 4 stars vs 3 here. They really are trying to help. I checked thru the racks on a green tag day and figured out that pink tag days are way more lit whenever Monday's those happen to be on. Last but not least, I will say they have outerwear that will knock your fashionable socks off for sure. Check the pic it explains my whole stop their in 1 nice and neat frame. Bremerton Goodwill - Green tag pic of the day - Community Service/Non-Profit Near Me - Bremerton, Washington

After work I went to this branch of goodwill to shop their $1.79 Monday sale. The parking lot was packed as usual on Mondays and the Store was showing it was open and closed at 9pm. I entered in at 6:02pm after walking in I was yelled at by a Lady clerk attending to 2 customers yelling that they were closed and they had decided to close 3 hours early. She said I should come back tomorrow. I asked if I could still shop for the $1.79 sale tags tomorrow since she wasn't letting me shop now. She said no. This is not the first time I have been treated rudely at this branch. I work retail and if I was as rude as this person was then I wouldn't have a job. I would not suggest this branch at all to anyone. read more

The store has become awfully overpriced over time. Their prices for games are insanely high ($15 for a game I could buy online for $5), the electronics are twice as much compared to other Goodwills and thrift stores, and things like towels that should only be maybe $1 or $2 each are sometimes $5. It's ridiculous how much things have gone up. read more

A fun store to seek treasure from. But I agree that the Goodwill in Bremerton often has items over-priced. When I spoke to a cashier about this, I was told that they priced the items in Seattle so the prices are more in line with what you'd pay in Seattle not Bremerton. read more

I like the selection of children's items here. Not only is this store organized and clean- I've been lucky to score some expensive name brand baby clothes for killer deals!! Being a mom of 3 I'm finding the importance of a dollar-and also know growing kids are expensive so being able to find gently used clothes for great prices not only helps stretch our money but allows us to spend more money on family vacations. Be sure to check their calendar as each day of the week they jar a different deal of the day. read more

This goodwill is significantly better than the one in Silverdale. the first thing we noticed when we stepped inside was how organized it was and how uncluttered everything looked. we were able to walk through out the store with out bumping into people which was nice. The Goodwill in Silverdale is nice but this will probably be the one we will go to more often. read more

Not bad for a goodwill. I now am spoiled when it comes to goodwills as I live in Seattle and my regular locations are Capitol Hill and South Lake Union. But this goodwill has always been a great staple. My Dad's favorite place to go. He continuously finds great slacks with tags still on them and jackets that are in great condition. I personally have found good cookbooks there as well, albeit they are a little outdated but the recipes are still great! read more

This Goodwill used to be good price wise. Lately they been pricing there items to high almost as much as the Silverdale goodwill if you know what I mean. I usually shop at this location and donate from time to time. I will not donate at this location anymore. I will be donating at the other local thrift store that doesn't play stock market for there free items they receive from the local community. Three months ago I would of gave them 4 stars now I would rate them as a 1 maybe two stars. read more

I will not be returning to this goodwill location ever again and it really makes me question doing business with ANY Goodwill store ever again. The employees that handle donations at this store are rude at best and extremely unprofessional. I went to make a donation of a piece of furniture that I had purchased from this store several years prior for use in my spare bedroom and they refused to take it on the grounds that it was in too poor of condition. REALLY?! Too poor of condition to take as a donation but you were more than happy to sell it to me in the same condition several years ago? Being a mom of two young boys and very thrifty, I'm always looking for things that are in good condition at a nice price. I have been a serious shopper here for about 5 years and I've usually had great luck. I've scored some very good condition clothes for the boys of such brands as Gymboree and Gap. I have also scored well with videos and DVDs. The pickings are slim a lot of the time but if you go say on a Thursday or a Friday before the weekend crush, you can find some good stuff even BBC productions. Their pricing isn't that consistent especially with clothes, but overall, not bad. They were one of the first to offer VHS for under a buck and their kids books are less than other Goodwill stores, but I think Value Village may be a touch cheaper but they cannot compare to the selection Bremerton Goodwill has. read more

I have been going to this particular Goodwill for a lot of years. The people that work there are very nice, friendly and helpful and work hard to keep the store clean, well organized and a nice place to shop. The two stars that I have given in my review are for the incredible people that work there. I have noticed a small but steady increase in prices on items for the last couple of years which I would expect to be normal as Goodwill does offer job training, etc. to an increasing number of people that need help and assistance. Over the last 6 to 9 months the prices they charge for used items are verging on ridiculous!! Last Tues I found a new ( with original store tags still attached-$12) summer dress for my Granddaughter that had a Goodwill pricing tag on it for $8.00 more than the original cost. The girl's used clothing was anywhere from $3.99 to $9.99 for girl's tops, and used jeans and pants with fade and wear for $7.99 and up. I found a cute pair or summer sandals for me but at $19.95 they went right back on the shelf as did a beautiful purse (plastic not leather) for $29.95. I wanted several of these things very much and would have gladly paid a reasonable price to buy them. Needless to say I walked out of the store empty handed and I have no desire to go back until the prices of used items comes back down to a reasonable level. read more

overpriced. 10 of the same exact item and they all have diffrent prices my fav is the garage sale stickers being left on the donated items and they price it 3 times the amount the one in portorcahrd or tacoma is better. i can't beleive the amount of broken items that are put out for sale too. read more
