Convenient location to drop off donations with a covered area which helps in this rain! Don't forget to ask for receipt.

Community Warehouse - Community Warehouse donation center

I celebrated my birthday this year by taking the day off from work and visiting several local…read morebusinesses that I've wanted to check out for a long time. I love thrifting and estate sale shopping, so Community Warehouse was an excellent choice for me on this special day. I love Community Warehouse's mission! It's a nonprofit furniture bank that collects home goods and redistributes them to those in need. The warehouse space in the back accepts furniture donations, and houses a large collection of pieces for their program. There is also a retail space in the front of the building where visitors can peruse estate sale home goods like furniture and decor. There is a wide variety of products to choose from, and everything I saw was in excellent condition. The store is pleasantly curated, and prices are fair and well-marked. I purchased a nightstand, and found many other items that may draw me back to the store sooner than later. I'm pleased to add Community Warehouse to my regular rotation of home goods stores I frequent.

It's ok. Definitely not a "thrift store". They get some really good things, but holy cow, their…read moreonline prices are astronomical. Prices in the store tend to be slightly more reasonable, but they are creeping up as well. I understand that they use the funds for community services, which I love, but unfortunately, my friends and I can no longer afford to spend money there. Sadly, I think my days of shopping here are over. Bums me out because I loved being able to find good, affordable items while contributing to a great cause. Now it's just no longer affordable. The volunteers I've encountered are really lovely people, and they do good things for the community. I will definitely miss it.

    Sadie's Safe House Chihuahua Rescue

    Sadie's Safe House Chihuahua Rescue

I give a big thumbs up for Sadie's Safe House Chihuahua Rescue! Shanae is absolutely wonderful and…read moreso kind. I found her by accident but am so glad I did find her. She helped me adopt my puppy Rickey, formerly known as Mickey Mouse and he is just a love. The entire process was smooth and uncomplicated. I was nervous about the home visit at first but Shanae put us at ease right away when she arrived and brought Ricky for his meet and greet. I knew the minute I met him he was meant to be our baby and Shanae agreed, the hard part was letting him go until the adoption event when we could adopt him. But that gave us time to puppy proof our house and get ready for him to come home. They have a pretty fool proof method so that people don't have reasons to return their adopted puppies or dogs due to impulse adoptions. So that one week waiting period was hard on us, but I totally understand the reason for it and agree with the reasons for. All the puppies and dogs come vaccinated and spayed or neutered and have all health issues tended to and are made known to the adopters so they/we can continue care. This is a fantastic rescue agency and is a great cause to donate to for people looking to donate to a place that truly helps animals, they are 501C3 and all donations are tax deductible. So if you aren't adopting please consider a donation to help the dogs still needing homes. If you are looking to adopt please consider Sadie's Safe House Chihuahua Rescue :)

Shanae's nonprofit, Sadie's Safehouse, saved me. I adopted my sweet angel baby girl from her a year…read moreago. I've always known I've wanted a little chi chi of my own but waited years and years until I knew I was in a place to care for a pet the way I wanted to and the way a sweet pup should be cared for. So once I graduated from law school and had been working as an attorney a few years, the time was right. Not only is Shanae the most animal-knowledgeable person I know, she is also the most incredible rescuer I know. These animals are her heart and soul. She makes ZERO profit financially from this rescue (it's literally a nonprofit org), the only "profit" she is looking for is that each little angel that finds its way to her ends up in its forever home with a safe, wonderful family. Having my pup has changed my life. I feel like I have found my soulmate in my puppy and that we were always meant to find each other and be in each other's lives. She is my joy, my comfort, my emotional support, my little cuddle, my confidante, my fur-child my everything, especially after the past year we've all lived through. And I owe it all to Shanae. Any animal coming to Shanae's rescue is literally coming to a safe house. Every animal is vaccinated and fixed/spayed, micro-chipped and loved before they arrive at their forever homes. There are so many other organizations out there claiming to be "rescues", but the "rescuers" are really just trying to turn a profit by selling animals. Sadie's Safehouse stands out because Shanae's one and only goal is to get these properly-cared for pups into forever homes where they will continue to be properly cared for. Shanae has seen it all - abuse, people returning animals after a week, a month, years, etc. She vets these adoption applications based on her firsthand personal knowledge and caretaking of these animals and what types of homes they will best fit in with. Nobody knows them better than she does, so if your application gets denied, you should know there is reasonable and important justification behind it. Shanae has answered every question and addressed every concern (even my overprotective puppy mom ones) I've ever asked, every time. She's calmed my nerves and been the best support in the world for a first time puppy mommy, even a year after I've adopted my girl. If you have questions about a stray bad review online (or if you ARE a bad reviewer) please feel free to give me a call. I am MORE than happy to have a conversation about how insanely incredible and selfless Shanae is and would love to talk your ear off about how much this rescue has changed my life. Shanae is an Animal Angel in my book. She's the one rescue in town that I am 100% confident is an actual Safehouse. And I will continue to tell everyone I know about this rescue and support her and these pups. You should too.
