My two kids, ages 19 and 21, were both happy with their visits and cleanings as well. Today, I had a crown placed on a huge tooth with a very old filling - all done in one visit. I was extremely nervous, because I have a lifelong issue with difficulty getting my jaw numb for dental work. Dr. Park explained what this condition is and was very reassuring. He was able to numb me with no difficulty, and I am now so relieved to have found a great dentist. He is very pleasant and professional. My crown looks and feels great. Couldn't ask for more. This office is more modern in their practices, most notably in x-rays. My last dentist was still using film, and Dr Ko used digital imaging. I don't know if there are any tradeoffs, but it's a lot faster digitally. He also uses a small wand camera and monitor to show you things you wouldn't be able to see otherwise. They also use email for appointment reminders, which should be a no-brainer today. Lastly, the front office staff is very nice.

The staff was very kind, they made me feel listened to, and when they found cavities I was glad I could go back the next day to fix it. The day I got my cavities done was a whole different story. When I went in that day, I made two things VERY clear: I was anxious, and I would need more numbing than the average person. Every other place I have gotten cavities filled at has listened and given me extra doses of numbing agent if I needed it, even stopping treatment to add more. I got the gel and one shot, and by the time they started working I couldn't feel my teeth but I was less numb than I thought I should have been. My cavity was far back, so it was going to hurt my jaw regardless. They put something for me to bite in my mouth after they sprayed water in the back of my throat and I flinched. As the procedure went on, my jaw began to hurt a LOT, right around where all the work was being done. I told them it hurt, and they kept going. I tried to power through, and thought I was doing okay, but as the pain increased my anxiety got worse. My whole body was shaking on the table and tears started coming out of my eyes. I even wiped them away! They just kept working, and didn't stop until I raised my hand. I then cried for a few minutes and had to calm down a lot. After that they asked me if I was okay throughout the rest of the process, but how could they have not realized I was in distress? By the end of the procedure I could feel what they were doing to my teeth, they did NOT use enough numbing agent. The cherry on the cake was when at the end, after I had cried and been obviously upset, the dentist told me I should get Invisalign or braces because my jaw is misaligned. NOT THE TIME!! I thought I was okay, but the second I walked out of that waiting room I broke down and sobbed. I didn't stop crying for at least half an hour after, I felt so confused and hurt. I had told them I was anxious and I would need extra numbing, and I felt ignored. I have never cried during a filling before. It was the worst experience I have had in a dentist office, and I will not be returning.

My first sign should have been that Dr. Matute said that can't happen, which if you look it up, it can. But, I gave him the benefit of doubt because he had great reviews. I expressed to him how important my teeth are to me, actually teared up, and I need them fixed and my previous dentists just kept me coming in for different things to bill and not addressing the open mouth. My teeth, other than the open mouth, were in good shape, loved going to the dentist and went faithfully every 6 months.( I know, weird). He apologized for what others had done to me and said he could fix my teeth with Invisalign. I was so happy. I started in December 2024. By April 2025, at an appt., I complained about the spacing that was happening that I never had. He assured me that by December it would be better. Every 6 wks I went back and complained as well as several texts in between, he again said by December it will be fine " I promise, have faith". In September, we actually got into an argument about the spacing, as I said it is getting worse. I started recording my visits as every complaint, the only thing they said was "Are you using your chewy's?" Like I am a child paying $10,000 and not listening to the dentist. When December came and it was time to end the Invisalign, he said see you next week to get your night guards. I said what about these composite resin on my teeth. He said he would take them off next week. Next visit, he spent approximately 4 minutes and said looks good to me how about you. Well if you have been in a dentist chair you know you can't always feel things right away, and he made me feel like I was a bother to him and he couldn't wait to leave the room. My teeth are now worse than they have ever been IN MY LIFE. I still have resin on every tooth, which feels like my teeth are filthy, space between some teeth that is a venue for cavities and can you tell which picture is from December 2024 and which is December 2025 that cost me $10,000. Next 2 visits he couldn't be bothered to come in to see me. I know you can't tell by the pics, but my teeth are ruined.
