The former orthodontist provided a friendly and informative environment. I returned just weeks ago to get my (broken after years of wear) permanent retainer out to find the place under new leadership. Right from the start, my experience was horrible. I waited over 30 minutes in the waiting room after my scheduled appointment time. When I finally got seated, the wait was even longer for attention from the orthodontist and there was the sense that they had overbooked. Then, the staff was extremely rude to me about one of my medical decisions. The orthodontist and her assistant made it abundantly clear that they thought I was wrong in my decision, even going as far as to refer to my decision sarcastically to each other, right in front of me. What is more unacceptable however, is their attempted manipulation. I won't go into details, but the staff at Milford Orthodontics tried to force me into making a decision that would have cost me money by telling me they had spoken with my mom (which they hadn't) and that she wanted a certain action taken (which, for the record, she didn't) despite the fact that I was 18, and in charge of my own medical decisions. My two kids, ages 19 and 21, were both happy with their visits and cleanings as well. Today, I had a crown placed on a huge tooth with a very old filling - all done in one visit. I was extremely nervous, because I have a lifelong issue with difficulty getting my jaw numb for dental work. Dr. Park explained what this condition is and was very reassuring. He was able to numb me with no difficulty, and I am now so relieved to have found a great dentist. He is very pleasant and professional. My crown looks and feels great. Couldn't ask for more. It is a full year later and he still does not have his braces. Even given the understandable delay caused by COVID, this is excessively slow. We moved to Holliston recently and, thankfully, my three older sons received their orthodontic treatment from competent orthodontists. Their appointments were held every month (this ortho schedules appts only every 6-10 weeks). We made the mistake of paying for a significant portion of my son's treatment upfront, so when I tried to switch orthodontists, Simply Ortho was going to pocket thousands of dollars for not doing the contracted work. Financially, we are stuck with them at this point. I am writing this review to warn others. When I complained to the office about the delays, I was treated rudely by the office mgr Ashley. When I asked to speak with the orthodontist himself, I was told I could leave a message. I've left three messages for Dr Carlotto and have not been able to speak with the orthodontist. In addition to the delayed conclusion of having braces (my son would like to start braces so he can eventually be free of braces -- we'd hoped before high school started but at this rate we may be looking at before college), the other problem caused by the infrequency of appts is that the pre-braces brackets he does have come off much more than was experienced by my older sons' actual braces, but they were seen on a regular schedule. When brackets break, wires poke into delicate gums and cheeks, causing pain and it is impossible to secure timely attention to this. When you call with a non-working hour emergency, you're instructed to leave an email rather than being able to speak to someone on the phone. This is a horrible orthodontic practice and I advise everyone in Middlesex County to find a orthodontist from another practice.

Once the work was completed the price was $272.00 more than what was quoted. I spoke with the billing department and explained what was quoted and what I agreed to pay. After several phone calls back and forth and checking with the Dr. they agreed to the price that was quoted. I was also told that they didn't accept my dental insurance because it was out of network and the work wasn't covered, therefore, I paid the (quoted) balance due in full. Today, I received a bill from them which showed that they billed my dental insurance the $272.00 and the insurance paid $177.60 with a balance due of $94.40. After speaking with the billing department again, they said that my son was over 18 years old and that he approved the work that was done. I explained that I was the one paying for it and I went with him to the consultation and approved the work, not him. They kept telling me that it was a 2 step process and that's why they charged me the extra money. I had to remind them again that I received a quoted price from the Dr. and if it was going to be more money than what was quoted, they should have included it in the initial quote. Today after going through this ordeal again, they said they would credit my account the $94.40 but still received $177.60 from my insurance which was more than what was agreed upon. Make sure when receiving a quote it's for all the work that needs to be done not just the first step.
