Day old cookie bag-$5
Jackson T.

Cookies are still great as always and Terry is still making great cookies. I walk by at least once a month to make sure they are still in business. Terry does take special orders and has some customizable cookies. I usually like all white chocolate chip cookie (no macadamia) and she also has an oatmeal chocolate chip (no raisins). There is also regular oatmeal with raisins. You can call ahead to order a few of these cookies to save time. From my talks with her, there seems to be no minimum requirement of number of cookies. They're are almost no shops around here that does this. The shop is still the same as before. Small and cozy with cute decor. Cookies are on display as soon as you walk in. Will try to frequent more.

Open 10am-3pm or until they sell out

BLINK AND YOU'LL MISS THIS HIDDEN GEM!!! Thank goodness I was walking with my kids!! I didn't even notice the sign and it's so easy to walk by the door and not even know a store is there!(it's a very small shop so there's no seating, it's just to go) My kids noticed the cookie sign out front and asked to go in - THANK GOODNESS!! Sadly it was already 2:45 so the options were limited but we got chocolate chip oatmeal, peanut butter, and white chocolate macadamia. I noticed they have chocolate chip peanut butter cookies so I figured if I had a chance I would try and come by another day. That night we ate the cookies and they were DELICIOUS!! The very next day I went back to the cookie shop at 11:30am and they were already sold out of the chocolate chip peanut butter cookies - the nice lady working there said they are the most popular. Even while we were ordering other cookies someone walked in to order CCPB cookies! The second time we got oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, and peanut butter again. The peanut butter were my FAVORITE so I'm sure with chocolate chips they are to die for! I wish I could say I took any pictures of the cookies but I'm not kidding - the second they were out of the bag they were inhaled! This will be a regular stop for me any time I'm in Sacramento and I will a definitely be there at 10!!!!

Cookies are delightful treats that bring a burst of joy with every bite so I obviously bought a dozen to bring to my coworkers. We all thought the cookies were absolutely delicious! A dozen cookies cost $25 so I wish they were a little bigger in size. However, the cookies were chewy but crispy at the same time. The chocolate chip cookies were gooey but my favorite was the white chocolate macadamia nuts. It was heavenly!

As a was walking to Goodie Tuchews, I was crossing my fingers hoping it was still in business. A lot of downtown businesses had a tough go and shuttered down. Ohhh when I spotted the sign still hanging up... I sighed a big sigh of relief. Yay! The cookies are soft, thin, moist, not overly sweet... just downright simply delicious. I luv all the flavors of which they have a boatload of them. But I do have favorites...my top two are peanut butter and semi sweet chocolate chip. Yum! She uses top notch quality ingredients and no phony flavorings, so flavors are truer. Cookies are $2. The cookie shop is still right there on 1015 L Street next to See's Candies and near the Starbucks. It's open Monday - Friday 10am-3pm or until the cookies are sold out. They take card, cash and G payments. Another cool fact that it's a woman powered solo biz. The owner has been baking cookies and running the shop for 41 years!! Yup... 41! A small but mighty shop. It's a to go place with no seating. A friend of mine bought me my first Goodie Tuchew cookie over 23 years and I've been hooked since. This place is a iconic downtown business.

Cookies! I love me some cookies! I tried to get some here earlier in the month but turns out that the shop was closed for the holidays. No problemo as I was able to swing by recently when it was open. If you're a big fan of oatmeal cookies (like I am) you're going to love this place. This shop holds its name as the oatmeal cookies that I had here (one oatmeal raisin and one oatmeal chocolate chip) were delectably chewy. So so good! Wished I could say the same for the other cookies; the other cookies were a little crumbly, which in that sense only would still be okay cookies but these cookies were also on the bland side. Even the peanut butter cookie, which I think is the *ultimate* chewy cookie type in general, didn't have much of a chew and also didn't have that peanut butter flavor punch that I love in peanut butter cookies. This cookie shop is still worth a visit especially if you're in the area (better make a stop here if you're sightseeing the state capitol because the place is literally right across from it!). Take note though that the business is open only on weekdays.

Walnut choc chip
Jenny L.

Met the owner, Terry. She has been in business for 43 years! Had a walnut chocolate chip cookie which was the most buttery soft thing I've ever tasted! A walk up and grab and go vibe of classic cookie flavors made fresh by the owner in the kitchen behind them.

I've walked by this place so many times without noticing it and I'm glad I finally spotted it. Loved the no-frills atmosphere, great quick service, and great cookie.

For me, the line lives up to the hype. I can't think of a single ice cream parlor more creative than Salt and Straw. Some of the menu options sound absolutely absurd such as Melon + Prosciutto, Pear + Blue Cheese, and Strawberry Pretzel Salad. Despite the wackiness, they're doing something right with these flavors. I opted for their limited edition Strawberry Pretzel Salad. It has a salty crunch that brings out the sweetness of the strawberry ice cream. I also detected some cream cheese in there, which works really well! Can't wait to drop by again for their next lineup of limited edition flavors.

The chai was good. It was real chai rather than the concentrates and syrup served at other coffee shops. It was not too sweet, next time I think I would try it hot. The Sana'a latte was really good, the cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon flavors really come through! The Adeni milk cake was so delicious! It was moist throughout and soaked with slightly spiced milk and had the same texture as a très leches cake. The honeycomb was super unique and I really loved it! The pastry itself is savory with a slight cumin flavor and is filled with dollops of cream cheese, it's then topped with honey and served warm. The sweet and savory elements went extremely well together, if you are going to try any pastry from this café, I would 100% recommend trying the honeycomb!! I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!

It has that fun, old school 80s diner film that makes you feel like you've stepped onto a movie set. The inside is a decent size, always clean, and has so much nostalgic charm. The employees are always super friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Now, let's get to the best part: THE DESSERT! This place is literally a cake lovers paradise. They have so many flavors, and everything is made in house. We're talking chocolate cake, red velvet, birthday cake, mint, white chocolate, Oreo, cake, coconut cream, pie, chocolate pie, strawberry cheesecake, and so much more. Seriously, there's something for every sweet tooth! They also offer sandwiches and drinks like coffee and hot chocolate, so you can grab something savory before treating yourself to dessert . Another great thing is that they have whole cake ready to go in the fridge, which is perfect for birthdays, parties, or any special occasion when you need a cake without placing an order ahead of time. I will say that it's a little on the pricey side, but honestly, I think it's worth it. Between the huge variety of desserts, the nostalgic atmosphere, and friendly service, it's a fun experience. This is also such a cute spot for date night if you want to do something different instead of the usual dinner and movie. After almost 15 years, I still have coming here! This shop is located at the end of DoCo across from Sauced in the spot that was previously a Starbucks Reserve shop.Parking is available underneath DoCo in the city lot, with validation available from the business tenants of DoCo but with the abundance of street parking available,I just parked on the street. Upon walking in I knew I made the right choice that morning,I know it sounds cliche but that place is a vibe. They were playing solid Latin music, the decor inside was truly thought thru to convey a particular feel-it felt great in there, now I just had to hope the coffee and small bites, matched up to the ambience. This particular morning was pretty busy as there were like about 10 people in line when I got there and only 1 person taking orders plus the tables were at about 90% capacity but it wasn't hard to find a place to sit because the turnover for tables was really fast. We decided to try a few things that visit,I went with a Dulce de Leche latte"Grandote" size ($7.00) and the wife went with a similar sized Mexican Mocha ($7.00).We also decided to get some food,so ended up going with the Bacon,Egg,and Cheese breakfast sandwich($7.50) and also the Torta de Jamon ($15.00). Coffee was made pretty quickly but there was a slight wait for the food but didn't mind it too much as I can tell it was made very fresh as I got to watch the worker make my Torta-very glad it wasn't premade. I really loved my Dulce de Leche latte-gave me caramel macchiato vibes but just different enough,it was really good,I tasted the Mexican Mocha and it tasted exactly like one should taste,it's just not my particular preference, but I blame that on my palette not the craftsmanship,as the wife truly enjoyed it. As for the food I really liked the Bacon breakfast sandwich, was a solid value for what we got,I would for sure order it again if I just wanted a quick small bite. The Torta de Jamon I really really enjoyed, featuring ham with avocado, pickled jalapeños,pepper jack cheese, fresh tomato, queso fresco served on toasted bread-very tasty and fresh tasting-I would for sure order it again. That being said, the true star of the night when it comes to this visit was the place itself,I really enjoyed the ambience, the customers, the decor,I'm really glad this place exists and it's a welcome addition to the downtown Sacramento coffee scene-I look forward to returning.
