Elinor and her team just helped us clear out the house of a family member who can no longer live on their own due to health concerns. Unfortunately, this family member had become a hoarder so clearing the house seemed like an insurmountable task, logistically as well as emotionally and psychologically. After all, you're dealing with someone forced into a very new and negative situation, and you're trying to get them to let go of so much.
I was very aware of this when I started looking for a de-cluttering service, and of the 3 people I spoke to, Elinor had the best grasp of the issues involved, as well as the greatest flexibility in approach. She was going on holidays shortly so one of her team, Lynne, actually met with us before we signed off on the project, just to ensure we were comfortable with their approach and the people we'd be working with. Once we met Lynne, we were good to go.
Lynne started off leading our project, and once she had an idea of what we were dealing with, she brought in additional resources and developed a structured approach to give us the results we were looking for. Throughout the project, Lynne, Jodi and Elinor continued to focus on results, while working with humour and respect to make a challenging situation manageable. It became more like working with friends than a hired service.
I'd hire Elinor, Lynne and Jodi again in a heartbeat. Our family is very grateful for what they've done for us, and how they did it. I'd recommend them without hesitation to anyone who needs to get organized, especially if there are emotional issues involved.
