If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I do wish, in fact, that I had read the Yelp reviews instead of the Google and Thumbtack reviews. I found this sleazy company on Thumbtack.com because I needed a reasonably priced vendor for a craps table. I was throwing a "Harlem Nights Themed" party and this company was reasonable. When I realized that they were a one-stop shop company, I was elated. I booked their DJ services, Photobooth and Craps table. Vinny (the owner) was very accommodating and responsive at the beginning of our correspondence. I had to unfortunately postpone my party and I understood that the 50 percent deposit was non-refundable. He was very understanding and seemed empathetic. Fast forward a few months later, I was able to reuse his services. This time, I no longer needed the craps table and asked for a Photographer instead. Here's where the issues begin. Vinny told me that the final payment was due the day of the party. He backtracked and stated that he wanted the money two weeks prior to the event. I told him no. He also promised me a photobooth that would have props, a printer and logos for pictures. However, he sent a Ringlight and a cellphone as our photobooth. The picture quality was bad and the lighting was horrible. Mind you, I spent about $400 for said photobooth. The DJ came to our "formal" event dressed in sweatpants and a hoodie. He barely had any energy and didn't play majority of my Playlist. I didn't receive uplighting as promised. When I contacted Vinny the very next day to express my dismay, he assured me that I would receive a full refund and prints for my photo booth . The photographer that he sent was also unprofessional, as well. He screened my calls until I threatened legal action against him. All I asked him is the status of our photos. It's been two weeks and Vinny has gone radio silent on me. I will take legal action against him if the issue isn't resolved. Stay AWAY from this loser! read more

I had a great experience with Good Vibrations for our neighborhood Halloween party! Vinny and his team were responsive and easy to work with. I booked a DJ and Photo Booth for 3 hours. DJ Collin was very nice and played music for young and old alike. And the Photo Booth was a huge hit....easy enough for the kids to run it. I used Good Vibrations for my wedding in Upper Malboro, MD. There were some very mixed reviews which was a concern. Off the bat, the communication was great, we went over all the details and Vincent answered all of my questions. However, once I made my payment, communication was much more difficult. Since my fiance and I were planning the wedding there was already so much to do. I had alot of questions because on the site there was stipulations to what songs you could select, how many you could select and I needed to make sure we could have all the songs we wanted played. It would sometimes be a long time before getting answers to questions. This made me increasingly nervous as the wedding date approached. I'm also a musician and I perform weddings professionally, so I'm familiar with all the details that go into the vendor side of things. I can sympathize with the professionals because I do it to, but communication is a very important part of the client-vendor experience and when this isn't done quickly, it can add extra stress. Eventually Vincent got back to me on my emails and all the stress was alleviated afterwards. He has updated the stipulations on the website and they can play anything you want, so you don't need to worry about only getting to choose 10 requests or enter every song you want into the website song portal. If it's on the internet, they can do it. All that being said, the actual DJ that we had for the wedding was Bucky Clipper. He was fantastic. He was dressed professionally, set up on time and he was very thorough in getting all the details to know exactly how to plan his services for the wedding day. He played every song we needed at exactly the right times, even a song that I composed for my bride that was not on the internet; he was sure to download it and have it at the right moment and it was perfect. He was a great personality, announced everything and everyone we needed with perfect pronunciation, and even set up in two locations, one for the ceremony and one for the reception, with a seamless transition. I don't think this information was given to him by the company, but he was able pull through anyway last minute. He killed it! We were extremely particular about every song choice (I literally compiled several playlists with exactly what songs we wanted prior to the wedding and some were very obscure, including "Honeybee" by Steam Powered Giraffe) and he played everything super smooth. The guests were really happy and I was happy and my bride was happy. The company could streamline communication with clients, but overall the service was excellent and very well priced. Keep in mind when clients leave one star reviews, it is not always a fair or accurate representation of the company, some people are complete Karens and Chads and get mad over little things. Other times people have expectations and assumptions that are not fair to judge the company on. Other times a company may need work on an aspect of their business and it would be communication in this case. Bucky personally is the man and I'd recommend asking for him by name if you work with Good Vibration. His communication and services were 5 stars. He definitely goes above and beyond to make sure everything goes smoothly. Overall they did a good job and keep in mind that often reviews that are one star aren't always a good indicator. Read all the reviews and look for consistent themes. Good vibrations does a good job and they are very good price. Ask for Bucky! read more

I hired this company for my wedding on 12/14/2019. A friend of mine recommended this company and I really wish I did my own research before reaching out to them. This was just a complete disappointment from start to finish. To start, one of the first frustrations I had with this service was the fact that there was zero communication from the company. I did not find out till walking out for introductions that the owner Vinny, who stated he would be the DJ for my wedding, was not actually present and had got someone else, DJ Dan to show up for him. I did not meet or talk to this person ahead of time, and I had no idea if they had any of our requested songs or playlists. I found out weeks after the wedding, through my family's own asking, that Vinny had a family situation and it was a last minute decision. However, I do not think it was appropriate for him or any other person from the company to not let anyone know that he would not be coming. The situation was handled poorly and was very stressful for a bride in the middle of her wedding. Nonetheless, my biggest frustration was that a large portion of the music that was played during the reception was not music we selected in their website's my "Must Play" or "Suggested" songs. A big choice for a bride and groom with DJs is determining how much involvement you want to have in the music. We were told that songs would be played from what we selected (which was hundreds of songs), and our 20 must play songs would all be played. From the start I realized this was not going to happen. From my recollection (which I will note was very keen on listening to each song as I was waiting for the songs I thought were going to be played) only 5 of the 20 "Must Play" songs were actually played, three of which I had provided separate instructions for, such as group dances. If the "Must Play" songs were not actually going to be played, I would have liked notice of this so that I could have adjusted my list accordingly. When I spoke with Vinny weeks after the wedding, he stated that about 70-85% of the music we requested was played after analyzing the system. I asked for a list of songs played, as he said they record that, but I was never contacted by Vinny again after a few follow up emails to schedule a call. There were also moments when the dance floor was empty, which is never a good sign during a reception. Additionally, there were also no slow songs, other than the dances that were pre-set for the bride/groom, father/daughter, and mother/son. Further, I even asked the DJ Dan at one point to please play songs I requested and to stop with the older songs he was choosing, as no one was dancing. He did state someone requested that type of music, however, once I spoke to him I assumed we were on the same page. We were not. One of the main reasons we chose to hire a DJ versus a live band was to play the pop genre and music that we as a family like. It is very frustrating that this was not the case and it is hard to imagine that this happened for any other reason than a lack of preparedness. I spent hours curating songs that I love and my family love, in order to have music that fit my husband and I for the wedding. Finally, we also used this company for the photo booth at our wedding. I was contacted by the man running the photo booth the night before the wedding, which was very frustrating as I was about to go to my rehearsal dinner. On the phone this man made it seem as though he did not work for the company, but was hired to run the photo booth as a contractor. This was not what I was told and was frustrating to deal with last minute. Although, the photo booth was the best part of this overall dismal service. After the wedding I shared all of these concerns with Vinny. However, I never head back with any follow up with the music that was played and the handling of the service. I would not recommend, as there are similarly priced services with infinitely better communications skills. read more

DON'T HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! I made a "mistake" hiring them and I soooo regretted it. I hired their photo booth for my daughter's sweet 16 in early June. The woman (a third party) showed up and set the the booth and then left, didn't come back until the end when she have to take down the booth. The machine kept breaking so needless to say, we have very few pics. No usb copy, no photo book and no attendant!!! Vinny, the owner said he would refund my money and give me a free photo booth service in my next event (Not interested in using them again, don't care if it's free). It's now October and NO REFUND!!! I have been calling him and he doesn't return my calls. I have been more patient but I now believe he has no intentions of honoring his words. We paid up front for an entertaintment package for our daughter's quinceanera. The package included $650 for photos, which were not delivered until well after the event, and with me having to follow-up multiple times. Then when we received them, most of them turned out horribly due to photographer error, which the photographer on the job at least honestly admitted. I kept getting promised a refund after acknowledgement of the poor service provided, but never received it, despite multiple follow-ups, yet again. When the photographer learned how much I paid for the photos, and that I wasn't getting the refund promised, he stopped doing events for Vincent. At least he owned up to his mistake - but to have so many precious memories that we had entrusted to this company not captured, and then not receive a refund now still 9 months after the event - it left me no choice but to file a complaint with the BBB. I can't believe there was no empathy for our loss, nor professional follow-up. read more

Were looking for a kareoke machine for our wedding and found these guys on the knot. Was a little nervous from the mixed reviews. In my experience they were exceptional quality their kareoke guy helped things run smoothly, arrived before schedule to setup and stayed afterwards to allow a few guests a last song. Cannot beat this value! We booked for 8 hours for a very paltry sum. My one criticism is this, organizing a wedding, timing and nerves make communication of utmost importance. It could take a few days for Vincent to get back to me or a second attempt for him to address a question I'd left him via e-mail. That said all terms of contract were handled professionally and exceeded expectations contained therein. read more

Don't do it...I had the DJ show up to the wedding wearing sweatpants and a baggy sweater, overall dressed terribly unprofessionally. We had requested that the recessional song start early so that we could walk out at a certain part of the song and they agreed to it. They didn't start the recessional song as planned. We had also requested to play the shoe game and offered to provide questions if needed, but we weren't asked for questions come to find out they didn't have it at the wedding. Used them three times. First year was ok, but my credit card was charged twice for the full amount. Took me a full year to get refunded. Vinny agreed to give me a break on the next event, but the kid running the booth was an hour late and did not fully understand how to operate the equipment. Pictures turned out terrible. This year, Vinny told me that he had brand new equipment...so I hired him again. This time the kid was 1 1/2 hours late and could not figure out the printer. One of my guests had to finish the set up. So 2 1/2 hours later, we're up and running...but the pictures were not at all good. I know what you're thinking. Our attendant, Dylan, was great. He was a very polite young man that knew what he was doing. We had no problems. He came a bit too early, but set everything up and then went to get something to eat and was back and ready to go prior to the party starting. He worked well with everyone at the party and gave us the digital copies of the photos prior to leaving the party. I would definitely recommend the photo booth services with Dylan. read more

Everything started out great. We hired the DJ and photo booth for a family reunion in July 2016- couldn't beat the price. And the night of the event, we were ecstatic- great music, photo booth was a lot of fun. However, we were promised a CD of all the photos taken in the photo booth. I have contacted the company and they acknowledged that they owe us the CD. They said there was a problem with the computer hard drive and that it should be fixed in a week. Since then, emails and voice messages are not returned. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and the company did not respond to BBB either. So bottom line, good price and good service as long as NOTHING goes wrong. But if you need to speak with them after the event, expect silence. I would have preferred to pay more than to promise my family photos that it seems they will never get. read more

Hired for DJ, casino tables, & photo booth for our company holiday party. Was very hard to get in contact with before to arrange details and plans. Our DJ (one person) arrived an hour early to set up everything, and so, was not completely set up by the time our guests started arriving. We needed extra chairs which we were not notified we needed before hand. Game tables were fine - clean and in good condition however they forgot the betting board for roulette so we were not able to have that game. Dealers were over an hour late so our DJ had to deal a single table while simultaneously "DJ-ing" which was a playlist for the first hour or so of our party. Photo booth was great, fun props and even more fun that it printed on premises - they even added our custom company logo on the bottom of the prints. However upon requesting digital copies of the photos - never got a response. They are a good deal price wise, however if I need these types of services again in the future, I will pay a little extra for better customer service and punctuality. read more

WORST COMPANY EVER!!! I ordered a photobooth for my wedding from Good Vibrations and it was a disaster. The photobooth was supposed to run from 7 - 11pm. The attendant didn't even show up until 9:15pm and wasn't set up until after 9:30pm. He also arrived WITHOUT A SINGLE PROP!! Our contract was for a prop box and large picture frame props. It was supposed to be a booth to fit 8-10 ppl and it was a stand, without any backdrop, and it barely fit 2 people in each frame. The pictures took 2-3 mins to print and they printed half white!! Completely WHITE! Half of every face in every picture was just bright white!! We were also supposed to get a CD of all the pictures (even though they probably weren't visible) but we never received that. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! The owner will only call you back up untill you have paid in full. He (VINCENT COLBERT) then becomes painfully ellusive. I hired him for photobooth, DJ and photography, being on a tiny budget, and got screwed. COUNTLESS emails, texts and phone calls i tried to reach him to discuss the details of my wedding, he only replied at the last min on everything. 3 months i tried to reach him, and finally the photographer called me 2 days before my wedding. I filled out the entire playlist that they require online, and they only played 30% of my songs. the dj played all of the explicit versions of songs-- with my 3 and 4 year old and all my little neices and nephews trying to dance!!! what the heck???!! in the emails VINCENT COLBERT describes the photobooth as fitting 8-10 ppl. it is a drapped 3 sided square with desk and lap top in front. it only (and barely) fits 2 chairs. they showed up an hour late... completly missed cocktail hour, and left early. the photographer showed up to my house 1 hour early, but refused to come inside. when he finally did, everything was rushed, he did not have the worksheet for poses that i was required to fill out and he took very few pictures. he did not take pictures of my children as I had asked; everything was limited. we had hired him for 6 hours, but he stayed untill the last chair was packed up at our reception, and then I got an email about how I owed him more money a week later for "all the extra time''. I am still awaiting my photo cd (thats all you get), they sent me a BLANK one, and then said they would email me the photobooth pictures (contract states I will be given them on CD). it has been 5 months now and i have yet to recieve my pictures. VINCENT COLBERT screens his calls, I have called him and emailed him weekly with no reply. I called and left a message inquiring about dj services from my moms phone and they called her right back...
