I have never been treated this rudely by a mechanic shop in my life. I was blown off on a Saturday shortly before closing when I asked if they could order a part for me and set up a day to install it. I was very understanding of that (although I should not have been since without that part my car was unsafe to drive all weekend) but I kindly walked out and heeded to their suggestion of calling back on Monday morning.
I called back 5 minutes after they opened on Monday and I was blown off. They wouldn't get the "person who orders the parts" on the phone but I was told to leave my name and number and he would call back, "within 15 minutes."
45 minutes later, I called back and was blown off again. Another half hour went by and I was told he would call me back and they re-took down my name and number as they were completely oblivious to the fact that this guy was already supposed to have my information AND supposed to have returned my call several times now. I eventually call back and inform whomever that answered that I have been getting blown off for 3 hours now (not to mention on Saturday as well) and this guy transferred me over to a guy who would "handle my situation." This man tells me that I MUST bring the car in so that they can look at it before they order the part: even though at this time, they had already been informed of the year, make, and model of the car, along with the part name and dealer number in accordance with the diagram that I had in my hand, and the days of which I was available to run the car down for the installation. I reluctantly asked him when I should bring the car down and the man said it would be best within the next 15 minutes or so.
10 minutes later when I arrived at the place I told 2 different employees in the front area about my situation and how I was told to go down so that one particular man who walked past me twice at this point could look under my hood for a second. The person in the front estimated the charge of $75-$80 total for the part and half an hour of labor. (I was getting a hose replaced) A half an hour later I was still standing there while the guy kept blowing me off. I heard the man in the front tell this blond-haired man for the 5th time that I was here and he said, "Yeah?! So?" with a very cocky attitude. The blond man was then informed that I had been waiting all morning and I was informed that I needed to be there for a minute for him to just look under the hood and without so much as a glance in my direction, the blond man said, "Well, I'm busy!" and walked away.
That is the very last time that I will ever attempt to go to Good Tire Service for any work on my car.
I went to the dealership and in under 10 minutes I had the part ordered and the appointment set up for my very next day off work. I was thrilled at how friendly they were and they even called me the next day to confirm that my part had arrived. I ended up paying $35 out the door since the part took 2 minutes to replace they didn't even charge me for labor. The only good thing that happened because of my horrible Good Tire experience is that I learned that the people at the Ford dealership are friendly and reliable! read more
