Despite normal blood work, trying new foods, and giving her an appetite stimulant, nothing was working. Dr. Kluver was so kind and gentle with Lucy. The ultrasound determined that Lucy has tumors in her liver and other intestinal cancers-- she won't live much longer. We've decided to say goodbye to Lucy this upcoming weekend. I'm so grateful for Dr. Kluver for being so kind and compassionate. I tried my best to hold back tears, but I couldn't and she was so understanding and provided me with the kindest words. When someone can give you an inch of compassion on your worst day, you know they're a good person. I highly recommend this place. As I checked out, I felt I was a bit stand-offish to the receptionist and I hope she didn't think I was rude. If you read this, I apologize- I was digesting the horrible news and was in a bit of shock.

I don't say this lightly either - we have very high standards when it comes to care for our pets. They are definitely family in our house. We have been to several other vet centers in Omaha and have moved on due to either absurd costs, uncaring vets, unethical practices (telling us we needed to continue to do an ongoing expensive monthly procedure, but was later explained to us why we didn't need to by Dr. Jepsen), incompetence (one vet ignored me for more than 6 months when I mentioned one of our pets might have cancer - he brushed it off as a "scratch" - low and behold he did have cancer, needed surgery and was much better afterwards), or having to see different vets every time we made an appointment- thus having to tell background on our pets every single time. Dr. Jepsen is definitely in the field because she loves animals, but what also stands out is that she knows how to run a business. These traits do not go hand in hand as it takes a special kind of individual to navigate the waters of a small business. More recently we had to make a very difficult decision regarding one of our pets, and Dr. Jepsen was not only caring, but factual in helping us make the best decision for everyone. I cannot thank her enough for helping us through this. If you are in need of a vet in Omaha or just have a feeling that you're not getting the best service at other veterinarian offices, give Dr. Jepsen a try. **As an aside, if your animals were a patient at All About Pets a few years back, it was run by a different veterinarian. And they seriously employ technology in their communication system. After surgery I was worried that the incision was not healing properly. I'm not one to be picky or even leave a review but seriously... the way he inserted the vaccines…read morewas like shoving a pencil in a sharpener. When it was my dog's turn he made him bleed and yelp loud. He bled quite a bit I've never seen my dog bleed that much. Not gentle whatsoever just shoving the needle in with no thought. Next was his nails to trim which I was super hesitant since my dog was already scared. Very stiff and tugged at my dog's paw to get his leg up. My dog even pooped a little. This was so heartbreaking but I didn't have the nerve to say anything. I almost cried. I wasn't even going to mention the disgusting floors and tables all dirty and gross. I will NEVER be back and I will NEVER recommend this place again. If your dog is already scared of the vet ... this is the nail in the coffin to not even get them in next time.

I also take my Persian to get groomed here a few times a year, and Kourtney the vet tech does such an amazing job with him. Im always in and out in a matter of minutes dropping/ picking them up. I have even moved across town and refuse to take my animals to anybody else. They did give me a heads up that they will be raising their prices come January 1st, which is not what anybody wants to hear but I get it.
