Previously, he had been seen elsewhere with additional, specialized care from the only animal eye service in town. I've written elsewhere about that eye clinic and the experience there was ugly. But Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital was willing to take over Howie's care--and his care was more thorough with far more kindness and concern than any other clinic. When I had to put Howie to sleep, the staff at Gentle Doctor, from the receptionists to the techs to the veterinarian were INCREDIBLY kind to us. It's been terrible to lose Howie.
