My body & posture have changed from head to toes since I started practicing at Uncle Joe's. A big plus is that when I travel I can look for studios trained under the same lineage and stay consistent with my practice without being worried of getting injured or learning something different. I like tradition. This space is very inviting & welcoming. The equipment is very well kept and they have a great variety to help you work & strengthen many areas of your body. Staff is super friendly. After a while it feels like a home away from home where you go to be mindful & healthy. I have taken classes with 3 of their 5 instructors and they are ALL top notch. It feels very safe to surrender your body to the practice and trust their guidance. I cannot say enough- try pilates, it will change your body!

I book all my sessions on ClassPass, which books each sauna reservation for 1 hour. My appointment was for 1pm. I showed up 1:15 (door locked btw) still 45 mins left. I knock and the guy opens and said, "you're late sorry we are closed". I replied, "I still have 45 mins left, class pass books from 1-2pm" he says, "fine you can only go for 20 minutes" (they close for 2pm) I replied, "No. thanks anyway" as he let me leave. Another time I was 15 mins early and simply wanted to sit of the sofas and wait (doors locked again) he answer and said your early and did not want to let me wait inside. I won't be going back.

In 20 years of practice, I have never seen a teacher anywhere on the globe that teaches with such ego, narcissism and lack of concern for student safety. Literally told her before class that I have hardware in my lumbar and my PT told me not to do backbends anymore because I hardly have a disc left above my 19yo spinal fusion yet she ridicules me in front of the class for not doing the backbends she calls for. Pretty appalling. Going to her classes are sitting through more of a session in her kissing her own ass than they are actually practicing yoga.
