They did a good job. My only suggestion for them is to not talk so much with each other in their native language, it felt rude.

NIDA SPA - Rails on ceiling for masseuse to hold onto while walking on your back (My room after my massage)

Bottom Line: I walked in crooked and I walked out 10x straighter…read more One of the most intense massages I've ever had. And I needed that. They have the handrails on the ceiling and they walk on your back. The first time I went the woman jumped up onto the table and grabbed the rails and was massaging me with her feet before I knew it. She was literally Ninja like. If you are like me and do not need the pretty, "soothing" decor, or the loud instrumental music, that is almost distracting, and you like DEEP tissue then this is where you should go. No exaggeration, I was using a cane and was so crooked I was favoring one side of my back and because of that I had difficulty walking. Walking that way was making all the muscles in my back tense up. I was a mess when I walked in there the first time. I did not have to wait at all. I walked in, they greeted me and took me upstairs to my room. It's a converted house. I told my masseuse that I needed deep tissue and I told her where it hurt. Within minutes she went to work. She used her hands to find the tense balls of cramped muscles and then she was up on my back. I had never had this done before and was amazed at the agility of my masseuse. She used the rails to alternate holding her body weight off of me and applying her weight as needed. She used her heels and whole foot to slide up and down along my shoulder blades until all the muscles lengthened and finally relaxed. It was very uncomfortable, but necessary. She checked with me continually to make sure the pain/discomfort level was OK for me. I was able to walk out of there almost straight and without my cane. I went back 3 or 4 days later and the second session gave me all the relief I needed. I have been back since, when I felt my back starting to tense up and I got ahead of a bad situation. Their prices are less than those fancy spas which makes it more affordable for me. The price point makes me not put off going when I need it for health issues. Bottom Line: if you are looking for the fancy "spa day" and prices - go somewhere else. If you are looking for affordable relief from muscle related back issues come here. I myself, will never go anywhere else again.

I messaged Nida Spa. Asked some questions. My last question was. Can you share your Massage License…read morewith me? I only wanted to verify it. They would NOT share their license. I'm pretty sure it's required to share something like that. I wouldn't trust this place.

Spa Retreat - The room where the facial was done - small, cozy. I appreciated the heated bed!

I read about the Facial Special for "Game Day" on your Facebook page, but since the spa had closed…read morefor the evening, I filled out an online form to be contacted the next morning. I did mention on the form that I was interested in the "Game Day Facial Special". I re-iterated that to the lady who I spoke with the next morning, and booked an appointment for 1 pm. I was so excited to get in the same day and finally get to try out your spa! I was told that a hold would be put on my credit card for the appointment (normal) and she said 3 pm and I corrected her to 1 pm. She also let me know she would email me some patient forms to fill out ahead of time - awesome! This was around 10 am and by 12:15, I had yet to receive an email, so I decided to head in early. I arrived at 12:45 and let her know that I never received the email. She told me my appointment wasn't until 3 pm. I reminded her about the conversation we had on the phone and I'd corrected her to 1 pm and she then said 1 pm. Unfortunately, she had put me down for 3 pm. I asked if we could do 1 pm since I was there and she said yes. She emailed me the form and I filled it out. Then she told me that they'd only be able to do a mini-facial...which is NOT what I wanted. Or I could have a massage. Also, not what I wanted. She then went and talked to someone about re-arranging her schedule and they must've figured it out because I was then told they could do the deluxe facial at 1 pm. By then it was a little after 1 pm. The person who did my facial (so sorry - can't remember her name - Carmen, maybe?) was great. Very good at explaining everything. It's a shame we started late (around 1:10, I remember looking at the clock as I was laying in the bed waiting). The facial was great - I enjoyed the products used (very seasonal smelling!) and the massage portion was super nice, too. It was a little light on the touch but that's my fault for not speaking up. When it was done, which was cut short (1:57) - I'm guessing to stay on schedule, she told me to get dressed and she'd meet me outside. I didn't realize she meant all the way at the front desk. I asked what kind of moisturizer she used, so she showed me. It wasn't until after I'd inquired about price that I was told I'd receive 15% off that since I had a service. I probably would've spent more on products had that been told to me as part of my end of service experience. When I went to check-out, I was told the normal price for the service, including a 15% gratuity. I told her I'd specifically scheduled for the Game Day special, and she said she wasn't aware of that. So to whoever does the social posts, please communicate to the rest of the staff what you've posted online! I also didn't realize the tip was added in to the total...that just kind of rubs me the wrong way. I almost always tip 20% - I didn't appreciate being told what I had to tip. We eventually got everything figured out and it wasn't until I left that I realized I didn't get the 15% off my product. Not a huge deal, it's just a couple bucks, but if you say you're going to do something, then do it. The specials the spa runs seem like great deals but the communication among the team is a little too messy for my taste. I'm not sure if I'll go back.

My husband got me a gift card to Spa Retreat for my birthday. Christy gave me a relaxing massage…read moreand really worked on my shoulders and neck which really helped me relax. The only problem was I was good for nothing afterwards because I was so relaxed! :) Anyway, she did an amazing job, and it was so peaceful and nice. The only thing is that the $80 gift card didn't cover the whole thing since they raised the price $10 since August (my birthday month). There was tax and tip. Still a good deal and I definitely highly recommend Spa Retreat!
