Terrific sushi, and the egg roll appetizer was fantastic. Super fun drink menu and the food menu is loaded with options. My only complaint is the table for two was so small we kept dropping things and it felt awkward.

I've heard good things about this place, and stumbled in on a Friday night after dinner. It was quite a full house (as expected for a Friday), but we were able to find two chairs at the bar in the corner and it was actually the perfect spot! We were able to feel like we had space for ourselves, but also enjoy people-watching and the atmosphere and decor of the place. Both bartenders were great and super friendly. I think next time I come here will also need to try out some of the food from the menu since everyone has told me it's delicious!

Still dreaming about these noodles! Only bummer was that none of the draft beers were working that day. We did not get sushi, but tried potstickers and two of the noodle dishes. It was delicious! The restaurant feels like you are in an underground subway in Tokyo, yet complete with a beautiful cherry blossom bar! Our server was very friendly and service was quick!

Enjoyed our time here but service was a little slow and our server was MIA all night, and they brought all our food out one at a time and quite a long time between each person. So we were eating in shifts so our meals didn't get cold while we waited for the others to get their meals. Ramen: 4 stars Drunken noodles (my daughter loved): 5 stars The fried rice pork and chicken was very bland and needs a kick: 2 stars. Zero flavor on fried rice: 2 stars My DIL LOVED the salmon could not talk enough about how great it was: 5 stars Son LOVED the big Buddha sushi: 5 stars Drinks were pretty and tasted ok but had very little alcohol in them: 2 stars. I must mention there was a minimum of 20 minutes between courses. I was getting frustrated as I requested sauces or spices when ordering. I had to wait 20 mins for her to show back up. They were not busy at all so it add mostly the service being an issue. Service and time between meals is 1-2 stars.

This place is really neat! Reminded me of a New York- like dive bar where you walk in to an underground location. On the weekend it is loud with a DJ and darkly lit. I'm not sure if it's like that on other nights. Very club-like and night out vibes. I thought it was neat. I forgot the name of the cocktail I got, but it was very good. I had the "good fortune" sushi roll, and it was very good as well. We only stayed for a quick bite before heading out to our next spot. Service was great and our server was friendly. I will definitely be back next time. I am in St Pete.

Rounding up from a 3.5 because the vibe was wonderful. Their resident si on Fridays is an absolute mad man/genius - loved the fusion of sounds and styles. Service was good overall , but it did take a bit for them to check in with us - which is a hard experience to overcome off rip. Food? Came out super fast. I wanted to give this place a 4-5 with my whole heart .... BUT the Dan Dan noodles were a bit too oily and very peanut forward and the Bulgogi egg rolls were overly salty. The Cash Money roll was excellent.

We've now given Good Fortune two chances and both were disappointments. Our first visit was on New Year's and while you might expect delays on a holiday, it wasn't even that crowded. Despite that, the service was horrendous... slow, inattentive, and disorganized. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. Tonight we came back for a friend's birthday, hoping it was a fluke. It wasn't. We ordered the shot tree to make the birthday guy feel special, only to have them bring out a random platter of shots instead and casually say they were "out of shot trees." Not sure how that's even possible when it's literally part of the experience and menu. No heads up, no explanation, no effort to make it feel celebratory. That said -- the food is actually good. But good food can't make up for consistently poor service and lack of basic hospitality. There are too many great spots in St. Pete to settle for this experience.

I came here for a work event (small group of people). I was blown away by the decor and vibes! This place has been decorated with so much purpose, it shines though as soon as you walk in. As for the drinks, they are unique and tasty! If you someone that likes to try new things, this place is for you. Every drink and every menu item was a hit. I recommend the tuna nachos and the charred Brussels sprouts. I really enjoy my haiku cooler cocktail. Super fresh and not too sweet. If you're in St.Pete this is a must try!

Love the ambiance and the salmon was delicious. We had the wings to go with it and it was pretty good. Very saucy. Love the Japanese vibe and decorations. Photo opt in all the corners. Want to do the karaoke room next time. $120 an hr to rent

The place is definitely a cool vibe. It has a club ish ambiance with cool decoration bar area and lots of seating. Unfortunately our service was very slow. It took forever for us to get out checks and there was only one server for the entire place which is unfortunate for them since I'm sure they were stressed. The appetizers were yummy & the entrees were okay ( a little bit on the sweeter side). I heard the sushi was great. The service was just not for us.

Pros: Very cute decor. Drinks are good and they're open late. Cons: The sushi quality is not good IMO. If you're getting cooked rolls, maybe you'll be alright, but I highly suggest you reconsider ordering anything raw. Do NOT order the uni. Ours looked like they weren't stored properly so naturally, we're curious if the fish is stored in the same manner. Fortunately no one got sick but I'd definitely recommend being cautious with the raw options.

We went on a Monday night and it was pleasant. Our server was very nice & the sushi was delicious but my fried rice was just ok, especially for the price. It's a very cool and charming vibe inside, notably for sushi and a drink! but can get super packed & loud on the weekends so a reservation would be essential

This is our go-to spot for a celebratory dinner, and it never disappoints! First off is the vibe -- the lighting and neon signs paired with the music makes this such a fun atmosphere! Plus the anime wall including Dragon Ball Z manga strips scores extra points. They have a DJ on some nights and music is definitely loud, which we like but our relatives weren't a big fan of when we brought them. The drinks are awesome, especially the Flaming Swords cocktail which they present table-side in a smoke box (see video). Food is served tapas style and most everything is awesome. Absolutely love the pork belly bao buns, sticky ribs, and gyoza from the small plates section. One of the only things we don't love there are the rangoons. The Big Buddha specialty roll is one of my favorite sushi rolls I've ever had! From the entree section, we both loved the pork belly fried rice! This spot is a must if you're in St. Pete!

Truly Unforgettable Culinary Journey at Red Thread…read more Our dinner at Red Thread was nothing short of spectacular -- a five-star experience from the moment we stepped through the door until the final sip of our after-dinner drink. We visited to celebrate a milestone birthday, and the team not only met but exceeded every expectation, weaving subtle, thoughtful surprises into the evening that made us feel truly special. The atmosphere is opulent yet completely approachable -- warm, intimate, and alive with cultural richness. You can feel the intention behind every detail: the plush banquettes adorned with intricately embroidered throw pillows, the soft glow of lantern-style lighting, and the perfectly placed gold-tipped cocktail picks that make even the smallest moment feel curated. It's elegant without pretense, like being welcomed into a beautifully kept secret along the Silk Road. Service was led by Katie and Elijah, who were nothing short of exceptional. Their warmth, precision, and deep knowledge of both the menu and the restaurant's rich aesthetic elevated the entire evening. They guided us with confidence, shared stories behind the dishes, and ensured every need was met before we even voiced it. Now, the food -- where do we begin? Red Thread delivers flavors that are bold, layered, and deeply authentic. We started with the spread and small bites platter, and it was immediately clear we were in for something extraordinary. The tabbouleh was bright and herb-forward, with finely chopped parsley, tomato, and bulgur kissed by lemon -- a perfect balance of freshness and zing. The falafel were golden-crisp on the outside, tender within, and served with a bright mint yogurt. So delish! For our mains: the salmon, seasoned with fragrant za'atar and resting atop creamy spanakorizo (spinach and rice), was cooked to buttery perfection. The addition of crumbled feta and a cooling lemon yogurt sauce brought a bright, tangy contrast that elevated every bite. The pork chop, served with tri-color potatoes and glazed in a rich port beurre rouge with rosemary and a whisper of parmesan, was magnificent -- juicy, deeply savory, and beautifully seared. And the beef short rib? Unbelievably tender, with a warm curry base, sweet-spicy melon kimchi, and saffron rice that perfumed the air. The cardamom chèvre melted into the mix, adding a creamy, floral depth that was nothing short of inspired. Every dish told a story -- of distant lands, ancient trade routes, and a chef who clearly treats spice like sacred heirloom. To know these flavors are crafted with spices imported directly from the regions that inspired them explains the unmatched authenticity in every bite. Red Thread stands alone in St. Petersburg -- not just in flavor, but in feeling. We'll be back -- no question -- to explore their brunch and dive deeper into this beautiful narrative they've created on a plate. To everyone reading: This is the kind of restaurant that deserves to be discovered, celebrated, and filled to capacity every single night. Go. Taste. Feel. Red Thread isn't just dinner -- it's a journey. And it's not to be missed.

She poked her head inside, she nodded back and the decision was made to visit COPA without a word. It was bustling on the inside with market goers passing through, but it was controlled chaos on the other side of the counter. The workers knew exactly what they were doing and even in busy time of the market they were quick to buss tables, get ordered items to customers fast and the bathroom was pristinely clean. The bumping A/C provided instant relief as we claimed the stools by the bar. My friends and I quickly agreed, this place is an absolute gem. So gorgeously decorated and the drinks, the mocktails, the pastry items, the food were beautiful and delicious. It really appeared they did everything well here. Service was impeccable and the side salad I ordered was so crisp and refreshing. Honestly 5 stars all around. The food, service, atmosphere and drinks were sensational and exceeded all expectations.
