I am happy to report that Good Energy did an amazing job and we are so happy we finally went solar! No guilt for running our air conditioner over the summer! There are many mixed reviews for going solar so I did A LOT of homework before committing. Thankfully my salesperson, Lorenzo, was very helpful and knowledgeable. He gave a detailed explanation on the amount of panels I would need and their cost compared to my energy bills that I provided from the past 12 months. After seeing the process start to finish on a job I referred to this company, I am extremely disappointed in them. There was 0 support throughout the process, they did a shoddy install that left many broken tiles and damaged my clients garage, they REFUSED to respond, answer phone calls, answer emails, until my client refused to confirm the loan so Good Energy wouldn't get paid. Only at that point, did they finally come back out to fix the damage. Since then, as GEG and I had a contractual agreement as the referrer, they have completely ignored me and the client, and refused to issue the contractually obligated payment. I signed a contract with Good Energy and paid them in full 10 months ago, however I am still without solar production. The system that they designed for us did not match the information that the county of Riverside had on file. Good Energy has not returned to make the corrections that are necessary; apparently their mistake was significant and will require major alterations to the already installed system. My recommendation is using one of the larger solar providers, they have the process of permitting under control. read more

The two installers, Louie and Emilio, were absolutely fantastic and you may wish to ask for them. Also, two individuals in customer support, Rocio and Trish, have been very helpful in getting the project going after a very long lapse once contracts were signed. I cannot yet speak to quality or value since the system is not yet running, waiting for final inspection by Good Energy and final authorization from the city but at this point I thought I would offer this review since lately I have been impressed with the personnel. read more

I wish I would have read the comments before I signed my contract. The installation process was a nightmare! A few guys would show up for a few days and then gone for weeks, left panels on roof unsecured, wires hanging all over my house. Nails and trash left all around. Once all the panels were up and some electrical work done, Mike (who was wonderful) showed up months later and said he was here to complete the job. As he started looking at the work that had been done, he said everything was wrong and he had to redo the wiring work into my panels. It took a bit of time but finally received PTO. I informed Mike that the previous crew did not finish replacing the roof tiles around the new panels and even left piles of tiles stacked on my roof. He said he had informed the Owner, however, not a word from their office. Mike informed me that the company went out of business. I've call Palmetto who is the company I pay monthly for the solar panels and they said to call Good Energy Group. Of course, no one answers as has been the case for 9 months now. Very Frustrating. I'm convinced they did not connect my whole house to the solar system, as my electrical bill is very high. I'm paying more now to Edison and Solar than I was last year, just paying Edison. This is criminal. They designed my system to be a net zero system. If there is a customer that is an attorney, they should contact all of us and start a class action lawsuit!!! read more

Been waiting just about one year for my solar panels to be turned on. They were installed last August and here we are in July. I've been bugging these guys since March/April. All they keep telling me is they're waiting on Edison and that Edison is very backed up (the backed up part is true and I understand). I finally called Edison to dig a little more on my own and they let me know that this solar company has had to repeatedly fix the application for my house because of mistakes on their part. They've been lying and pushing fault on Edison and never mentioned any part of them needing to resubmit my application. I have a neighbor who chose a different solar company. His panels were installed after mine and turned on in January. We have very different looking electric bills. Good for him. I rarely post good or bad, but this one needs to be known. read more

Do not do business with this company. They promise you everything and they deliver nothing. That's exactly what I got for my money. Nothing, they installed solar panels on my roof that are inoperable. They lied to me telling me there was no problems in getting a Permission to Operate and now I can not get the PTO so all I have are a very expensive set of solar panels on my roof that don't work. I have called them several times and all I get is a run around. Their customer service is the worse that I have ever had to deal with.They are very good at giving you the run around. Horrible horrible company!! Took them almost a year to install my panels and when they did they weren't aligned. They had to return to fix the mess , broke tiles from my roof good thing I had extras for them to use to replace. Representative Michael Ulloa is a damn con artist who promised me an incentive for referrals and didn't give me a single penny! But yeah kept using his fake line "I'm a man of my word" nothing but a joke!! The response by Brandon, unfortunately, is all lies and further proves how bad this company is with customer service and accountability. He claims I have reached out to employees on their personal phones and on their personal social media accounts, which is a bold-faced lie. He claims I call every day, which is a lie. And so on. However, Brandon does nothing to address the real issues I brought up with my install and service. The Good Energy Group messed up everything from the start to the finish of the project, and even now is unhelpful. I only began leaving reviews once I was fed up with getting nowhere with the company. Its really sad that the company, instead of calling an unsatisfied customer to make things right, will instead try to lie on the internet to make themselves look better. Unfortunately, I am returning with a follow-up to my previous review. I had originally stated I would give them five stars for their outstanding service. However, sadly, I must now report, so that other consumers will not be bamboozled by the deception that we faced AFTER installation of our solar system. I previously stated that Derek was an excellent salesman and I'm going to have to say he definitely did his job. Most sales men have a reputation for selling you a shady product and he can definitely live by that name however, it would be more in regards to the service and poor follow up and lies about the benefits of the product in order to make the sale. Which means, whenever I had questions about the tax credit, he boasted about he completely ignored me. I sent five messages five different days, and even called the office to see if he was still employed. It was to my dismay that he was still employed, just choosing to ignore my questions since he had already sold his product to us. He also lied to us about a solar credit that would be $19,000, and that we could use that to pay down the cost of the solar which was $70,000 for us. That was a huge selling point and our tax lawyer told us that we would never see the $19,000. However we would see about $4000 in credit. Anytime I had questions after the install I was completely ignored as if I didn't exist. I also had a previous outstanding bill from Edison during Covid and derricks advice to me, was to let the bill continue to stay outstanding, as the solar would eventually even out the bill. Again, WRONG!! Edison did not find that amusing as they threatened with shut off notice. I've had to make arrangements to pay past due and pay my new solar bill as well I don't know what to say about other solar companies, but Derek (now a sales manager) definitely fulfilled the reputation of a salesman as he just sells your product and runs far away and is no longer available to help you!! I'm truly disappointed and disgusted with GOOD ENERGY SOLAR! I am recommending they change the name of their company to bad energy as that's what they give off. read more

Hello I had good energy group install my solar panels and upgrade my main panel. Very professional took a few days to get everything handled the main panel upgrade was 1 day to do. Had multiple people on-site to work on it the vice president came out a few times and inspected and helped work on the system captain communication with me to make sure it was handled correctly. Had a few questions throughout the process and had no problems calling him and communicating with me. Add a couple things looked weird and they came out and made sure to straighten it out because I have a little OCD when it comes to certain things they fixed it and did a great job. The front office always communicated and answer the phones and email it when I have questions to get back with you promptly if not Tray the Vice President got to hold of me as soon as possible. Had a lot of issues with the city being picky. But they worked through it and made sure I understood what was going on. I would recommend them again probably in a few years when I do the battery upgrade I will have them do the Install. read more

I was also a $ 1000.00 referral for all my troubles .. they on offer a $500.00 for a referral .. they asked me not to tell other clients .. so gave them a referral . I was told by Trevor that he would fund my bonus in a few days .. filled out said paper work for automatic deposit .. this was well over 2 months ago .. I have yet to revive promised funds ..They also use .. There is a family emergency.. excuse .. at least with me 4 times .. the clients that I referred are also very unhappy with the treatment and services received .. please do not believe anything they tell you .. I would like to write review about this company. From the beginning, this has been a total nightmare. We have been waiting for our solar since March, and it just got installed this past month. This is after constant problems with the electrical work done on our house. They left our job with a breaker system that is unsafe and on top of it, it looks like my 8 year old could have done a better job with the wires in the breaker box. When you question their work, Brandon gets EXTREMELY defensive and is threatening. Trust me, we have the texts to show. All we wanted was proper customer service to fix an "unsafe" problem in our house that THEY created. Because Brandon is very irrational, threatening and frankly very RUDE to his customers, he decided to leave the job as incomplete and the threats continued. We now have to pay to have the breaker box be completed safely from a certified electrician. I urge anyone looking to hire Good Energy to run fast and use a company who does work that is appropriate and meets "industry standards" as Good Energy does work far from it. read more
