As a reasonably tall man I entered the store. I checked the doors, to make sure there wasn't one of…read morethose height monitors. The stickers they put on the doors with the feet and inches on them; I feel embarrassed when I have to announce my height when I enter a building. I checked for various products, even on the top shelves, which I could easily reach. After selecting the exact products, I headed to the counter. With jerky in one hand and pork crackings in the other. I placed the snacks in front of the clerk. My heart pounding and not just because of my all meat diet, I had remembered that my wife wanted me to pick up some alcohol. I ask the clerk for a small bottle of vodka and she obliges. She asks for my id. I flashed back to 2 years ago... I had only been married a few months, my wife noticed that I never went anywhere that required Id. After a long argument about not being able to fly to Phoneix, I finally admitted to Connie why I couldn't get id'd. In my youth when I renewed my license I had asked the dmv to change my height, I heard they didn't measure, I was a foolish 35 year old, I embellished the truth. I added 1.4 inches. The clerk standing there with her hand out waiting for my government issued identification, my mind was racing. Would she read the height? Would she believe it was me? Would she call the authorities? We stood, silent, for what seemed like an eternity. All the scenarios flashed through my mind. She opened her mouth, "$17.25". OMG it was all over, I handed her the cash, my hand still shaking. I walked out, relieved my height was not an issue. Nice liquor store, 5 stars

I've known Joyce for years. I loved her mom (God rest her soul). Pay no mind to the bashing in…read morethe other review, always remember there are two sides to every story. These are hard working people that come from an honorable family...totally honest and up front. That's what I like about them. If you have a problem with that, maybe this isn't your place. And as far as the poster here calling her disabled, elderly mom names, what a despicable, low-life thing to do. Who knows...with any luck perhaps he'll find himself next.

I been coming to this place more so ever since my vehicle was stolen. Its the only store nearby…read morethat has drinks, food and snacks. I use to feel welcome all the time and spend nearly 50 to 100 dollars every so often on things I needed. Overtime it became a depressingly unwelcoming experience. Not sure why, I use to be greeted warmly but now I feel the owner seems putoff by my precense. I use to be greeted with a "Hey Buddy!"not anymore. At first I thought it was probably just me over thinking but when other regulars come in they're met with a warm.greeting and repertoire that has build overtime. I had friends of mine take note as well. Friends who accompany me time to time notice a clear difference in treatment as soon as we approach the counter. Also compared to the other customers Ill be buying much more. Yet it seems the treatment is very cold. A not so friendly vibe. Yet I go there because of the location is nearby. I still buy quite alot time to time I made some attempts to make casual talk or simply just greet!. Ill say how are you!? And replies with a monotone dry ok. I will just say Im clearly being discriminated! In the past I was treated like everyone else but now something changed and I think I know. Why. All I could say is if your running a business you should not discriminate your customers on age, sex, race,or sexuality or religious beliefs. Especially when they have purchased so much.
