I been coming to this place more so ever since my vehicle was stolen. Its the only store nearby…read morethat has drinks, food and snacks. I use to feel welcome all the time and spend nearly 50 to 100 dollars every so often on things I needed. Overtime it became a depressingly unwelcoming experience. Not sure why, I use to be greeted warmly but now I feel the owner seems putoff by my precense. I use to be greeted with a "Hey Buddy!"not anymore. At first I thought it was probably just me over thinking but when other regulars come in they're met with a warm.greeting and repertoire that has build overtime. I had friends of mine take note as well. Friends who accompany me time to time notice a clear difference in treatment as soon as we approach the counter. Also compared to the other customers Ill be buying much more. Yet it seems the treatment is very cold. A not so friendly vibe. Yet I go there because of the location is nearby. I still buy quite alot time to time I made some attempts to make casual talk or simply just greet!. Ill say how are you!? And replies with a monotone dry ok. I will just say Im clearly being discriminated! In the past I was treated like everyone else but now something changed and I think I know. Why. All I could say is if your running a business you should not discriminate your customers on age, sex, race,or sexuality or religious beliefs. Especially when they have purchased so much.

I came into Old Town Wine Cellar with a little free time and figured a glass of wine sounded like a…read moreresponsible way to spend the Wednesday afternoon. As I personally enjoy good wine and of course a bit of cheese, so it didn't take much convincing for me stroll into Old Town Wine Cellars Kim made the experience fantastic and we shared our stories about Santa Rosa, Napa and Paso Robles and before I knew it. We were swapping stories about our wine journeys, life and the places we've been. It's always nice meeting someone who shares the same appreciation for good wine and doesn't judge you for having strong opinions about grapes aging in stainless steel. I also really enjoyed hearing about the history of the building and how the space evolved into what it is today. As I have a design background so naturally I'm looking at the wine AND the entire space. Which apparently I can't turn that part of my brain off as I'm always searching for a creative outlet. Overall, the whole afternoon was just easy. Good wine, great conversation, a comfortable atmosphere and nowhere in between I did feel needed to rush off. I'm still finding my place in Yuma and figuring out the spots that feel like me. Old Town Wine Cellar made Yuma feel a little more like home that afternoon. I'll definitely be back. For the wine, the conversation... and let's be real, probably the cheese too.

I suspect their stock is constantly changing. It would be worth a visit just to see what's in stock on a weekly or monthly basis. And, it's up to you as to what you are willing to accept with expiration dates or damaged packaging. Everything I bought was in excellent condition. Here is what I bought -- 3 cans of pinto beans, 1 bottle of gummy vitamins (70 gummies, VitaFusion brand), 2 cans of refrigerated Sprite, 1 package of muffin mix, 2 boxes of Twinings Tea (20 bags per box), 2 boxes of face masks (50 masks per box, Walgreen's brand), 3 lemons, 2 zucchini, some broccoli and a large yam. The total came to $16.16 (including tax). I arrived around 9:10 a.m. and there was one other car in the parking lot. When I left, most of the parking spaces were filled, and a car waited for me to back out so that he could get my space. Green Trees seems to keep busy.

For those of us in Phoenix, we'll have to make the trip to Yuma, but it's worth making the drive for a day trip or doing an overnighter. I had the lasagna...an item that was taken off the menu but recommended by the owner (Mario) since they made some that day. It's gone now, and I savored every bite--sorry about that. Besides, a pic wouldn't do justice to the rich layers of piping hot, tender pasta sheets, slathered in hearty meat sauce and creamy béchamel and ricotta. If this is Italian comfort food, I'm all in with the way Mario's crew put this master piece on a plate. This also goes for the caprese, Cacio e pepe, margherita romana, along with the deserts like the tiramisu' de treviso, cherry cannoli siciliani, and even the bread basket is over the top. Again, apologies for the lack of photos, I will say that the visual appeal of each dish matched the flavors, so the food vanished before the thought of a photo op crossed my mind, and I savored every bite--errr, sorry about again. But if I had to make a statement describing the whole dining experience: "the gods smiled". To summarize: -Imported ingredients from Italy -Fresh vegetables -Mellow atmosphere -Service and dialog with Mario -Outstanding food Highly recommended! I'll take pictures and post them next time we dine here.

The warm atmosphere inside can't be beat, friendly staff immediately greet you amongst wine filled walls and Italian treats all around. Located inside the Quarter Master Depot (Colorado River State Historic Park) you get to dine in a historic building that has been beautifully redone to feature this Italian venue. Mario's clear goal is to bring the authentic flavors of his home to you, here in Yuma. My mom and I shared the veggie salad, caprese antipasti (comes with delicious bread) , and a slice each from the slice menu. The textures and portions were just right (no watery or oversalted dishes here!) There's a great selection of Italian wines, and they even do wine tasting events! I'll be back sooner than later.
