Freezers have frozen meats, meals, vegetables, ice cream, misc. Fresh produce. Some over the counter vitamins baby products, clothes, accessories, toys, office, medications. It is first come first served. Prices are discounted and plainly marked/stamped-the old fashioned price tag way. Green Trees, located in the Foothills, is in a warehouse type of building. It is clean and functional. The food shelves are nicely organized, although some shelves were nearly empty. I suspect their stock is constantly changing. It would be worth a visit just to see what's in stock on a weekly or monthly basis. And, it's up to you as to what you are willing to accept with expiration dates or damaged packaging. Everything I bought was in excellent condition. Here is what I bought -- 3 cans of pinto beans, 1 bottle of gummy vitamins (70 gummies, VitaFusion brand), 2 cans of refrigerated Sprite, 1 package of muffin mix, 2 boxes of Twinings Tea (20 bags per box), 2 boxes of face masks (50 masks per box, Walgreen's brand), 3 lemons, 2 zucchini, some broccoli and a large yam. The total came to $16.16 (including tax). I arrived around 9:10 a.m. and there was one other car in the parking lot. When I left, most of the parking spaces were filled, and a car waited for me to back out so that he could get my space. Green Trees seems to keep busy. read more

It's kind of dark when you first walk in. But there are some good deals if you look around. I always find something.

Inventory is limited but prices are much lower for many items being sold elsewhere. If in the area and not in a rush, it might be worth it to stop here and see what they have and for how much before setting foot in a Fry's or Walmart. read more

There are 2 Green Trees Grocery Outlets here in Yuma. I prefer this one a liitle more, even though it's a further away. Both have decent prices...just take into consideration the expired date on the labels and some damaged boxes may have bollweevils in them. It opens at 8am, the early bird gets the worm applies here as well. The main road leaving the store feels like speedster heaven with everyone flying by. Still I prefer this one. This is a discount store that recently been pricing like inflation has hit them it has not it still gets outdated bent up lots of food for free and sells it to fixed budget people. Some of the particular items I shop for they are just under Wal-Mart prices a bent up can of beans 50cents Wal-Mart 75cents ect. Watch where there is no price it will be priced somewhere else in the store I found it twice as cheap and priced (wierd).Besides the inflation prices it's a good discount store with lovely people that work there. read more

First time at this location and I liked it a lot. Good prices for ground coffee and kcups. Veges looked good and fresh, shelves were a bit bare but I found everything I was looking for. Place was pretty clean, easy parking, and had what I wanted, staff was pleasant. read more

Walked into this store to check out what they have and it was a mess. Smashed open boxes of food, open bottles of salad dressing on the shelves with seals opened and used for sale. Took me an hour and a half to find the in-town location of this store...not a happy camper about that. Both addresses are apparently listed on their Facebook page but when clicked on an android phone, it reverts to the Foothills address, so I drove 20 minutes out to foothills and ended up at an abandoned warehouse. Many people are confused about the locations of these stores. Need to work on that. As for the food, 90% of it is expired. Not sure if that's how it's supposed to be, but I was under the impression stores couldn't sell expired food for profit. Granted most of it is 10 for $1 which is a heck of a deal but what does the store do if someone gets food poisoning? The produce is surprisingly fresh. 5lb bag of apples for $1.50. Kind of regretting skipping the apples now that I'm home. Everything in my picture cost me $8.85. The malt-o-meal is a real gem, doesn't expire until 2016 AND they've been discontinued in stores. I've been buying this stuff off ebay for $12 a pop and found it here for $1. I think I grabbed the last box though, sorry! ;) read more

If it is associated with the chain it's the outlet of the Grocery Outlet stores. With that said..all I actually did was go through the front door, look around & leave. So close to home! We stop by here to see if they got anything new before we do our regular shopping. Today I picked up HUGE beautiful zucchini's 3/1.00! & yellow bell peppers 2/1.00 along with a few "junk drawer" items (love snagging their chocolates and anything individually wrapped so as not to over indulge) store is a bit of a mess, most things are kept together but it seems like if there is an empty spot they fill it regardless if it's on another isle ‍ doesn't bother me at all as it gives me an excuse to walk every isle! Green Trees has a variety of discounted items (mainly stuff you'd find in a grocery store)... from marinades and juices to diapers. Some of the stuff is discounted due to being damaged or outdated, but some items are just plainly discounted. For instance, I got a McCormik Mesquite seasoning (not damaged or outdated) for only 50 cents (compared to about $2-$3 normally)! I noticed some other good deals such as specialty Australian Olive Oils, Greek Kalamata Olives, and a fair selection of 50 cent greeting cards. I went into the store with $39.00 pulled out a $20 dropped it on the floor next to the male clerk took my bags and left they have cameras everywhere near the cash registers also so I go back because my $20.00 bill was missing (mind you I donated plasma to get the money) the first thing that male clerk did was go and speak to the female cashier who checked me out.... then he couldn't look into my eyes but I waited until the manager came back and they watched the videos but only showed me paying.... but I asked can you show me the other angles to the other cameras and they didn't because it would have shown an employee picking up my $20.00 bill and pocketing it instead of giving it back! But then I noticed on the camera that my bill was $8.66 but I gave $8.00 and got back change!! So someone tell me which one of the employees decided to split my $20.00 bill? I used to love shopping at GREEN TREES GROCERY STORE BUT NOW I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANY OF MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY TO SHOP THERE BECAUSE THEY ARE THIEVES BIG TIME! Great place to grocery shop in Yuma! Too bad other Grocery Outlet stores don't have this kind of pricing! Yes, some of the items are out dated, some of the cans are dented, but they are all half price or more! Many items are in good condition, and still in current dates - but still at least half the price you would pay at local stores (or even Wal Mart!) . Cut your grocery bills in half by shopping at Green Trees Grocery Outlet. Go often as different items are available at different times! We buy enough to carry us through until we return the following winter season! read more

WARNING: If you have to return an item due to it being moldy, contaminated, spoiled/rancid, bugs-in-it, melted and other things you won't see until you buy and open the package... the head cashier gets a 'nasty' attitude and she tries to make the customer feel guilty or that they caused the problem. Go over their heads and complain to the managers. TERRIBLE customer service given to year-rounders whose purchases keep that place open and employees paid during the summer. The cashiers joke, laugh with Snowbirds but the cashiers act as if it's a burden to ring up your items. URGENT: Check for SEVERELY-outdated (2, 3 years) food items... they'll say they don't sell those but they do indeed! Best to go to new Dollar Tree (5 blocks away) in the old Fry's shopping center - all items $1 and no bugs, mold or contamination. They willingly and politely accept return items in the event of a program :) read more

We love this store and when we come to the area for about 1 mos each winter, we stock up on some amazing deals. Just be smart. Dates on mayo count to me. But, dates on cookies, granola bars, cereals, etc. aren't as important. After all, they stay fresh in the double and sometimes triple sealed inner wrappings. Damaged boxes need to be looked at to see if the inner packages are still good. Just be smart, as I said.. But, the deals ...even on produce bigger and better than I cought at Fry's! We go back each week to see what the new shipment will bring. We'll be leaving for the season but I will miss this store, until next year! read more

I live very close to the Green Tree store. I went in there once to see what the fuss was all about. The store was a mess. The cans were all outdates. They sold a lot of toilet paper. The vegetables were awful. The floors were dirty. I am not sure everyone in there spoke english. I did not go back. Scary. Maybe if you ate all the cookies at once you might be safe. What the draw is I have no idea....You can go to the dollar store or dollar general and do better I think. I am a full time Yuman. read more

My impression of this place was "read the lables." Almost everything is outdated. If you really take the time to check the prices it does not make sense to pay just a few cents less for something that you can buy at another store that is not 5 months pass best before date. The place is dirty. I got a shopping cart that could barely be pushed because the wheel was siezed up. Then after looking at the goods I just left the cart and went to a grocery store and bought healthy food. If you want to take a chance on your health by paying a few cents less for outdated goods go ahead. read more
