Reminds me of the little grocery stores in Japan. We were craving ramen and this place has all the ingredients to make such a dish. All the noodles and concentrate broth that's impossible to find anywhere other than this store. We will definitely be back for more as our cravings continue throughout the year. 10/10! read more

Located right next to Little Caesars (mmm, pizza) The Asian Store is one of those hidden gems you hope never goes away. Not as elaborate as the Daiso stores found in San Diego; it's more like a bodega...it seems like they have a bit of everything. The owners of L & P Market in the Foothills moved their store to Yuma and is now called Asian Store. I happened to spot it out as I was leaving Burlington coat factory and just my luck, they just opened today. The store looks very nice, larger than the old store, and less cluttered with the usual asian variety nick-nacks. The frozen section and refrigerated section is almost double the size of their last store. Good variety of vietnamese and chinese greens. Produce is geared more toward Vietnamese ingredients however, they also have Kimchi, ridge gourd, bitter melon, etc. They have all the staples to make common vietnamese dishes and many other asian dishes. Good prices. Cash only. I'm so glad they're right in town now. read more

I'm giving this 5 stars because if you're looking for an Asian market, they've got what you need, it's the best I've found in Yuma. If you know if better, please let me know. Got some nice quality snow peas, had all the curry pastes for Thai Curry you could want. They have the nice big boxes of Golden Curry. Sesame oils, chile oil, frozen quail, frog legs, a limited fresh veggies section (but honestly I just came from the Yuma Farmer's market, and it was better than the entire market). Rice sticks, dried mung beans, bean sticks, etc. just what I needed to survive a few more months in Yuma! I'm very happy I found this place. Has the things that I need to stock a filipino home. I was even able to get good produce (eggplant, bittermelon, garlic and ginger) and the usual 25 lb bag of rice we usually get. I just wished they stocked nishiki rice in the bigger bag than the small bags. Otherwise, this is the only asian store I know of in Yuma so it's been good so far. read more

Finally I don't have to drive to San Diego for Asian grocery!! It has almost everything I need for my Asian cooking. Variety of instant noodles, from Korean to Japanese to Vietnamese to Thai. I enjoy Chinese take away but I'm far from the east coast which boasts some of the best Chinese-American cuisine I've ever eaten, however, I now have a great store to get the ingredients I need to make it right at home now! I really liked this store they are very well stocked and they have good variety of products , but the lady who is at the register is really really RUDE most of the the time but the the last time I went there she was very mean to some people paying with food stamps paying before me and when she got to me she started complaining about people who paid ebt, and I was like "well we all deserve a good service no matter how we Pay ma'm , so If I paid credit instead of cash would you think less of me ? Or would you think I can't afford my food ? Would you be mad too ? " she got quiet and almost threw a calculator at me while she was adding ... I paid for my stuff and I said thank you ... and she didn't reply back ... I said thank you AGAIN and no reply ... her face was far from friendly and I went back and told her thank you , she ignored me .... really this person needs to work on her customer service because it's not just me who's being rude to ... it's the same with everyone who shops there . read more

Drove out to the foothills this summer after hearing about L&P only to find it closed down already. Saw where the new store was opening and kept driving by waiting for it to open, finally one day on a whim I drove by and found it was open! Much better selection than the store on Ave B and they're open Sundays (when I usually get an itch to cook something asian!) And they do take credit cards now but only on purchases over a certain amount. ($10 or $15 IIRC.) Big refrigerated and frozen section as well as several isles with lots of other goodies. I'm still overwhelmed each time I go in but in a good way! Love having this place here in town now and having a lot of fun learning some new styles of cooking. There are still a few things the store on Ave B has that they don't but they have a lot more things that the store on Ave B doesn't. read more

Love this store!! Moved here from Hawaii and they have all the go-to ingredients I use when I cook Filipino food. They also have Aloha Shoyu which is a must have on the rice! Definitely shopping here often. read more

Just moved back to Yuma after being in Hawaii fro five years and needed some real shoyu and you bet they have Aloha Shoyu!!!! They even offered to try and get some things I really wanted if they could get it cost effectively! I will def be a patron here at least once a week! read more

I felt like a kid in a candy store. Being from Hawaii it's hard getting certain items that you crave and this store pretty much has everything you may want. They have taro, big and small. Furikake, 'opae, aloha shoyu, shrimp chips, saimin, pisupo, lumpia wraps, nori, pot stickers, etc. A good place for polys and Asians a bad bad place for your wallet lol. Prices are of course reasonable...considering it's in the desert. Will be back! Love it! read more

The new store seems smaller, but they seem to be still working on it to bring their inventory back to previous levels. Always friendly, helpful and on of the few places that you can purchase true Asian foods. Love cooking and love Asian foods so this place is a no brainer for getting the correct ingredients. read more
