I was excited to visit this meat market, especially for their Yuma Lime Asada, priced at $15.99 per pound. The meat itself is excellent--well-marinated, tender, and perfect for grilling. Their carne asada definitely lives up to the hype.
Unfortunately, my experience was ruined after I got home and discovered that the prepackaged rice I purchased was spoiled. The smell was awful, and it was clear it had been sitting far too long before being sold. This level of negligence is unacceptable, especially when it comes to food safety.
When I called to inform the staff about the spoiled rice, their response was dismissive and unapologetic. They didn't seem to care about the mistake or the fact that they were selling rotten food. The lack of accountability and customer care left a bad taste in my mouth--literally and figuratively.
While the carne asada is worth trying, the mishandling of other shelf products and the indifferent attitude of the staff make me question the overall quality and trustworthiness of this place. I'd recommend double-checking everything before leaving the store. read more
