Great find. We stumbled into this place because we were hoping we might find an off-season stock of dates. We didn't, but what we did find was a cool little gift/clothing store and some fabulous BBQ. We were alone, so we had a few minutes to chat with the cook. Great guy. Great service. He even made sure our little doggo got her share of brisket trims! ai had the brisket tacos, my partner had the smoked sausage. Tacos were great and I understand the sausage was excellent. I came as the business was described as a farmers market stand with produce. There is no longer any produce (that part was sold 3 years ago I was told). It has some other times for sale but mostly is a bbq restaurant. We didn't eat here so I can't comment on the food, there was about 10 cars of people here. read more

Would not recommend this venue for any formal event. The staff is very friendly and helpful, however, the overall upkeep of the property is lacking under new management. Grass is dead and heavily patchy, floral/greenery is all dead and the area is very junky. So many beautiful antique items going to waste and left under piles of dust. They have plans to renovate and revamp the space, but until those plans are finished, this is not the place for a formal event. read more

This spot has tons of charm and amazing salsas to go with street style tacos. Try it from the farm style. They grill a Anaheim chili and put cheese on it and place it on top of the taco. They also offer a from the farm style which substitutes the tortilla for cabbage. The salsa is the star of the show. They are all homemade and vary from a sweet mango pineapple to a spicy red or green chili. Try a homemade cookie and have a sweet or regular tea with your tacos. I have driven by this place, located just off Hghwy 95 & at the foot of historic McPhaul Bridge, many times w/o sparing a thought to try it. Today a friend took me & the SO there, and what an awesome surprise. It's located among the farm fields adjacent to the Gila River, so it's got a nice ag vibe. The place is a collectible/farm-y shop+restaurant+venue (they were hosting a Halloween wedding tonight). Specialties include dried artichokes that you can steep for tea & local honey. Restaurant menu includes burritos, tacos, quesadillas & sandwiches; they have this "From the Farm" option for some items which appears to be a topping of Anaheim chile & melted cheese - yum! They also offer date shakes - a Yuma must-have. Guests can sit outside at tables near the outdoor grill. When we were there, we saw a lot of Polaris ATVs parked, so I think it's a watering hole for local desert crawlers. Very casual place, relaxing. It's "bring your own beer"; the grill evidently closes an hour before the store closes. read more

We've been here a few times after driving by it for years. What a great little place! My hubby gets tacos and I get a veggie quesadilla. Outstanding! You go order inside and bring your order outside to the grill. They call you when your food is ready. If you're into date shakes, they have pretty darn good ones too. An unbelievable find! Was there for dive military work for a week at the end of March. Passed the small sign once, but only one. Stopped each day for a date shake and three tacos. One day we showed up at 3:30, closing time. Not sure if it's because we were in uniform, but they through tacos on the grill for us. These are truly authentic tacos, at least the most authentic I've ever had. I believe cooked over mesquite. You gotta make sure you have a date shake, something I had never even heard of (pureed fresh date, whipped with soft serve). Well worth the deviation off I-8 (or even I-10) if you're in a road trip. Decided to take a drive because the weather was so nice today, and came across this little place! It's quaint and has a very pretty outside area. We had a date shake and lemon pound cake, both were great. Loved the outdoor sitting areas, my girls were content to just sit and look at the pretty flowers. My only regret was that we had just eaten a late breakfast, they have a good looking menu, and tacos sounded soo good! They have fresh produce inside as well as the option to pick your own straight from the field depending on what's in season. We purchased some asparagus spears that look great. A mix of taco truck, antique shop, and cozy park atmosphere. The tacos are good, had same quality from other taco trucks, great salsa to go with them, delicious fresh produce. Lots of stuff to look at. They sell local raw honey which is delicious. I was not impressed with my first visit, staff wasn't too chipper, second visit was much better as they were busier, staff was warm and welcoming and much more interactive. It was enjoyable to sit in the grass with the kids playing outside after we ate. Will visit again read more

My husband and I visited here for very first time today. Hubby orders special that was turkey bacon avocado sandwich. I preferred FFTF tacos and they were awesome. I ordered Chili as a soup to try. This will be my only negative comment. They served canned chili and it was gross. I expected homemade chili and hope they take my advice. Antique store was awesome they just need some way to communicate between buildings and I'm sure they will figure that out. read more

The brisket and pulled pork are amazing. The kitchen and counter in same area as an antique shop was way cute and quirky. There is an ice cream counter that has an old fashioned feel. When we arrived there was no one at the counter and there were two so we didnt know what to do. After a couple minutes the cashier came over. I ordered and while waiting for second person to order the cashier asked if he wanted the same thing. I said I didnt know. She asked the same thing again a few seconds later and I said no, he doesn't want the same thing I got- lets let him decide and wait a minute! Very awkward and strange interaction. We got our date shake and it was very good. Got our food in a good amount of time. A couple bites of brisket and I thought it was slightly dry so went to counter to ask for BBQ sauce. That was hard to do, waited for help, waited waaaaayy to long for a tiny cup of what I thought was liquid something. Then I asked why we didnt get beans with our plates (they come with beans and coleslaw) and was told they were out. Ok, so please give me 2 coleslaw? She said ok and went back into the kitchen for waaaaaayy too long. My food is getting cold. She finally comes back, I am irritated, and ask for BBQ sauce, and state I dont think this is it. The owner hears this and comes to tell me that is their sauce, she makes it herself and doesnt want the sauce to overpower the meat. Then tells me about how meat is prepared. Fair enough. Then tells me they have a thicker sauce also made there. I ask to try both. Initially I get a snotty response with a forced smile, but she is friendly in the end. So I get back to eat, finally, and see the dog licking the smoker scrapers. The meat is good (we liked both BBQ sauces too) and I might have gone back but then the dog thing happened. read more

I love everything about From the Farm. Their fish tacos are the best I've ever had ... and I've lived in SoCal and Mexico. The fish is lightly breaded and fried crisp. When you bite into it, there's a slight resistance until you get to the incredibly moist fish inside. It just about melts in your mouth. And their salsas and sauces are fresh and varied. Beware of the hottest though! The From the Farm tacos have a grilled Anaheim pepper on top, and the quesadillas are cheesy melty yumminess. The people who work there are friendly, outgoing and efficient. They make you feel like you're one of the family. The homemade tarts are incredible, and the antiques and old-timey goods for sale are fun to look at. I plan on visiting every time I'm in Yuma. read more

Apparently he believes he's still in the military and gets offended if you address him as "Sir." And he will tell you to "think before you speak" but still expects you to purchase their boring and cheap versions of Hispanic food. Not worth the drive and especially not worth anyone's time.
