Within a few weeks of driving the truck it was making sounds like the pump was going back out. We brought the truck back to knights, they looked at it again and admitted the part was faulty. They replaced our pump with no cost. This showed outstanding integrity since In the past, we've dealt with mechanics who shrug off their mistakes and make it seem like it's your fault to get more money out of you. Not the case here. Love this shop. Won't find a more honest mechanic than Dave Knight in the mountain communities.

After going off-roading in Fawnskin, our car died deep in the woods--truly the middle of nowhere. We called AAA, who sent Kevin from A-Performance Towing, and he arrived quickly. He immediately diagnosed the issue and assured us it wasn't the alternator, as I had suspected. With it being a holiday weekend, only one shop was open, and Kevin recommended we tow it there. He was right--our battery was completely done. An hour later, with a new one installed, we were back on the road. Feeling confident, we went off-roading again... and four hours later, the truck stalled again. AAA dispatched A-Performance Towing once more. We were much farther up the mountain this time, and my signal was so spotty that my location was pinging miles away. The owner, Corey, personally called me, knew the trails well, and still managed to find us. He navigated rough terrain, got us safely out, and provided incredibly helpful insight. It was clear the issue was more serious than a battery. Corey recommended towing to a dealership since no local shop could likely diagnose it over the holiday weekend. He even called the Dodge dealership in Moreno Valley himself to coordinate and make sure we could speak directly with the service manager. The level of professionalism was truly outstanding. This morning, their driver Reyes towed my truck to the dealership and was an absolute pleasure to work with--friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Most people don't expect exceptional service from towing companies, but A-Performance Towing is in a league of its own. From Kevin to Corey to Reyes, every one of them went above and beyond to take care of us, offering guidance, support, and genuine care when we needed it most. I'm incredibly grateful, and every time I come back up the mountain, I'll make a point to stop by and thank Corey, Reyes, and Kevin personally. Using this company is a no-brainer--truly elite service from start to finish.

I'm very pleased with this business and I highly recommend them to Anyone! Problem big or small they can handle it. I don't know very much about cars or the car I have and there always seems to be something wrong with my car. They explain to me the issue in a way I understand and I know I'm not getting bamboozled that way. It's hard finding a mechanic when you're a girl who knows nothing about cars. Wanted to post what great customer service i have received here. In the past I have had Brakes done, Tune up, etc. All Good. Yesterday heard a scraping or brushing sound coming up the mountain and called this morning, brought it in, and Daniel inspected and cleaned the brakes and that area. When I tried to pay him for his time, he would not take the money.He said "Next time" and I guarantee "Next time' I am coming back to these guys. read more

The customer service is amazing here. Other mechanics will ignore the main problem with my car and apparently start finding "other problems" with my car. Gonzalez Garage will find the problem, fix the problem and I'll be on my way. I couldn't be more pleased. read more

My wife saw this place on Yelp so I drove our car there. The shop is small and easy to drive past if you aren't paying attention. I walked inside and the owner/ manager was on the phone with someone. He advised me to wait and I did. He told me his tire guy was at lunch, but I could pull the car to the bay and was welcome to use his air. I used their air with the pressure gauge and my tire filled up. He told me if you use 7/11 it will just drain air from your tires. He didn't charge me anything and I was so grateful. Someone could have easily taken advantage of me, especially being from out of state. Based on his honesty and integrity I would highly recommend this place.

I took it to Phil's. They thoroughly checked the car and ran their own diagnostics, and it turns out it wasn't the alternator. This isn't a ridicule or slam of the folks at AutoZone. It's just a vote of confidence and appreciation, knowing that there's an honest mechanic here in Big Bear Lake; they could've easily taken advantage of us.
