We couldn't be happier with the work Carlos and everyone at Gonzalez Fence Company did! From the very beginning, they showed up exactly when they said they would, communicated well throughout the project, and were extremely professional. The quality of their workmanship is outstanding. The attention to detail really shows, and we honestly believe we now have the best-looking fence in the neighborhood. The finished product completely transformed our backyard and exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a fencing company that is reliable, professional, and delivers top-quality work, I highly recommend Gonzalez Fence Company and Carlos. Five stars all the way! read more

If I could put 10 stars, I would! This company was great to work with. We scheduled our fence project for early February, but the weather was not cooperating. We were able to reschedule without any problem. The quality of their work was great and the price was very reasonable. If you have a fence that is in need of repair or replacement, or are putting a new fence in, I highly recommend Gonzales Fence. Thank you!!! read more

Very disappointed. I requested a quote from this company. I allowed adequate time to get the estimate because I knew that there were certain obligations that the owner had. Numerous Weeks Later I called and spoke to him directly and he said he would have the estimate to me by end of day, not the case and it's been definitely over a week. So nearly 2 months now. Seems like a nice guy but I just don't appreciate my time being wasted especially when I have money in my pocket to have the work done. read more

They were very responsive and did quality work for a reasonable price. They were here when they said they would be and made sure they had a portapotty The quality was amazing. Very professional. I would highly recommend them. read more

Gonzalez Fence Company recently built a 95 foot shared fence for my neighbor and I, and at the same time they also built a 60 foot fence for my neighbor. Carlos was an absolute pleasure to work with. His price was competitive, the wood products he used were excellent, and his craftsmanship was outstanding. He and his crew were fast, efficient, considerate and professional. They arrived when they said they would and cleaned up everything when they finished. The fences they constructed are clearly built to last a long time. I highly recommend Gonzalez fence company and won't hesitate to call Carlos again if I need other fences replaced. read more

Carlos came to our home to estimate the cost of removing an old redwood fence and replacing it. The job had been evaluated by other reputable companies who advised that new construction would be difficult given nearby trees and other factors. On first look, Carlos had a clear grasp of a simple solution at a very reasonable cost. Carlos and the crew arrived on the promised date and time and got right to work, efficiently removing the old materials, setting in new posts and framing of the new 100+ feet of redwood fencing - all expertly done. After the cemented posts had cured overnight, the crew returned and completed the job, installing very nice wood with perfect fit and finish. We could not be happier and really enjoyed working with such warm and honest people. We are pleased to recommend this company to you in the strongest terms. read more

There aren't enough good things to say about Carlos and Gonzalez Fencing! I had an emergency situation with my fence posts splintering and my fence close to falling over, Rain was on its way and I called Carlos to help me figure out a solution. Carlos came over on Saturday and immediately saw the urgency. He called his crew to come out the following day to re-enforce my fence before heavy rains completely destroyed it. At 7:30am on a SUNDAY morning (!) Carlos and 3 of his men worked on getting my fence propped back up. They drilled, established posts, poured concrete, and completed the job in 4 hours all under continuous rain. I cannot tell you how grateful I was for Carlos and his team. They went above and beyond. It was such a relief to see my fence become upright again. Carlos is one of a kind. He has high standards and he delivers. read more

This has been a long time coming. Carlos and crew did 200 feet of corrugated fence for us up in Hopland and a super redwood fence in Santa Rosa when we moved back. The materials he uses are superior and his team are fast, and do really high-quality work. Carlos is a really nice guy to work with and very good at making it happen. read more

We have had Carlos and his crew twice to build fences on our property and they have done an outstanding job both times. Carlos is very professional and communicates well. He anticipated rain when he was supposed to start our job on a Monday so he called us Friday afternoon to ask if his crew could work the weekend. His crew arrived early Saturday morning and were finished midday Sunday. They were focused and had great attention to detail. I can't recommend this company highly enough. read more

Our backyard fence collapsed after the storm and it was so bad that I called Gonzales and Carlos came to the house on Sunday to give me an estimate. By Monday the written estimate came to my email detailing the job. By Thursday noon they finished the job professionally and efficiently. Love to have them for any fence related projects. The crew were very dedicated and professional and the work was well coordinated between crew members. I can tell you they met my expectations and checked all the boxes for a good contractor. read more

Communication issues, and what I would describe as poor or inadequate planning, resulted in one segment of the replacement fence having to be redone by a different contractor. I was not entirely satisfied with the quality of the work either, as it seems shortcuts were taken to address at least one issue that arose during the job. Unfortunately, for these reasons, I cannot recommend. read more

Gonzalez Fencing company just fixed three runs of fencing for us. They were delightful to work with. Mr. Gonzales is very professional, communicated extremely well, and his bids are the best in town. His crew were conscientious and pleasant to be around. They were very fast and cleaned up after themselves. The fence is well built, solid and gorgeous. I would hire him again if I had any more fencing to replace. I recommend his company 100% read more

Kind of repair job, kind of a new fence. Carlos and his crew replaced one half of our backyard fence. The original posts on this half were rotting at the base, and we wanted to start fresh. The work was done quickly, expertly and professionally. The attached photo shows how simple and how beautiful a well built fence is. Every photo of his company's work that we've seen on Yelp is just as nice. We added the privacy screen just on this section, and it looks great as well. Carlos answered all the questions we had, and he and his team were very pleasant through the entire job. They also did quite a thorough cleanup afterwards. I'm happy to recommend Gonzalez Fence, without reservation, to anyone that wants their fencing job done with honesty, integrity, and craftmanship. Thank you Carlos, and the Gonzalez Fence crew. read more

These guys are busy, and with good reason. I needed a couple of fences replaced that I had installed 20+ years ago. Carlos came out and I immediately knew that he would be my guy. We scheduled the project for June 29/30 which happened to be the hottest days of the summer to date. Carlos and his crew showed up and had the old fence tore down and the new posts installed on day one. This required quite a bit of jack hammering to remove the concrete from the old fence posts that I had set. I also was concerned about water lines and possibly gas lines that ran from the meters to a house on the back of the property that the utility company didn't mark. Carlos said that it would not be a problem and that they would dig the post holes by hand so as not to damage any underground lines. On day two, his crew showed up early to install the fence boards and gates. They worked like a well oiled machine with everyone doing their part to finish the project. The project ran a little over, and on Saturday they came back for a few hours to finish the gates and tidy up. We are very pleased with our new fence and have received many compliments from our neighbors. read more

My review reiterates what all the other reviewers say. Carlos and his crew were everything that anyone could hope for. He replaced about 200 ft. of neighbor shared fencing. We have 6 more neighbors to deal with for the remaining 800 ft. We will be calling on him in the future. He also fixed a sagging gate installed by another company, free of charge. I highly recommend Carlos Gonzalez. He is a really nice guy, too. read more

I give this company the best as it can be, if there is a PLUS on the rating I would add it to this review. Carlos called and came to my house and was prompt to give me an estimate. The price is right on the money. The scheduling was a bit of a waiting game as most contractors in Sonoma County are working on the insurance claims from 2017 &'18 fires. He was able to schedule me in within 2 weeks, not the 2-3 months time the other contractors gave me. His team and himself were on the spot. Measuring for precision, digging the holes, filling them in with the concrete, and measuring again. Posts first, then foot and top headers in place (all with measuring within), the board panels, included with the lattice, and finally two gates installed. His communication was good too. All waste was taken away. This took nearly 9 hours total. He even after it was done took a look at my neighbor's gate that was having problems closing. He fixed it without an issue. My neighbor's fence was done by a different company. I told all my neighbors if they want a fence built, Gonzalez is the company to call! read more

I have had two fences built by Carlos on two separate properties. He is amazing and really cares about his customer's satisfaction. The fact is that you can go to another place, Kenwood is one name that comes to mind. But they are a national company who doesn't care about you or the product they build. Carlos is local and cares about what he does. keep your money local and give him a try, you wont be disappointed. read more

Very pleased with Carlos, from getting a bid and scheduling the work. The good neighbor boundary fence was definitely of a higher quality than the previous fence it was replacing. Also the gates for my house as well as my neighbor were superior to the originals. Work was completed on time and site was properly cleaned prior to departure. Highly recommend Gonzalez Fence. read more

First off- Great service. Great communication. It looks exactly like the pictures of the other houses. He and his team were on time and off and running to get the job done. Had the old fence down in about an hour and was framing within 3 hours. Super fast. (I had had another fence done 5 years ago and it took them 5 days to do the straight line 75 feet of fence. Carlos could have had it done in 2 days based upon how well his team worked. Lastly, I have no idea about costs. Did I get a good price or not? Not sure. I do know that materials prices are way up. After the job was complete, I didn't really care. I think it was around $45.00/foot with lattice. Workmanship was phenomenal and it was fast. thank you, Carlos. The dogs are super happy & super safe!!! Geoff A read more

Poor communication. He could have helped me pick the right lattice to give better privacy. It said super privacy on the bid, but Gonzalez didn't match the fence with the adjacent fence so the back fence of my neighbor's fence is two feet higher than mine. It looks bad. More information would have resulted in better understanding of fence choices. I am not a fence professional so he could have helped me get the fence I wanted with complete information. I would not recommend them. read more
