Very disappointed. I requested a quote from this company. I allowed adequate time to get the estimate because I knew that there were certain obligations that the owner had. Numerous Weeks Later I called and spoke to him directly and he said he would have the estimate to me by end of day, not the case and it's been definitely over a week. So nearly 2 months now. Carlos came to our home to estimate the cost of removing an old redwood fence and replacing it. The job had been evaluated by other reputable companies who advised that new construction would be difficult given nearby trees and other factors. On first look, Carlos had a clear grasp of a simple solution at a very reasonable cost. There aren't enough good things to say about Carlos and Gonzalez Fencing! I had an emergency situation with my fence posts splintering and my fence close to falling over, Rain was on its way and I called Carlos to help me figure out a solution. Carlos came over on Saturday and immediately saw the urgency. He called his crew to come out the following day to re-enforce my fence before heavy rains completely destroyed it. At 7:30am on a SUNDAY morning (!) Carlos and 3 of his men worked on getting my fence propped back up. They drilled, established posts, poured concrete, and completed the job in 4 hours all under continuous rain. I cannot tell you how grateful I was for Carlos and his team. They went above and beyond. These guys are busy, and with good reason. I needed a couple of fences replaced that I had installed 20+ years ago. Carlos came out and I immediately knew that he would be my guy. We scheduled the project for June 29/30 which happened to be the hottest days of the summer to date. Carlos and his crew showed up and had the old fence tore down and the new posts installed on day one. This required quite a bit of jack hammering to remove the concrete from the old fence posts that I had set. I also was concerned about water lines and possibly gas lines that ran from the meters to a house on the back of the property that the utility company didn't mark. Carlos said that it would not be a problem and that they would dig the post holes by hand so as not to damage any underground lines. On day two, his crew showed up early to install the fence boards and gates. They worked like a well oiled machine with everyone doing their part to finish the project. The project ran a little over, and on Saturday they came back for a few hours to finish the gates and tidy up. We are very pleased with our new fence and have received many compliments from our neighbors. read more

I give this company the best as it can be, if there is a PLUS on the rating I would add it to this review. Carlos called and came to my house and was prompt to give me an estimate. The price is right on the money. The scheduling was a bit of a waiting game as most contractors in Sonoma County are working on the insurance claims from 2017 &'18 fires. He was able to schedule me in within 2 weeks, not the 2-3 months time the other contractors gave me. His team and himself were on the spot. Measuring for precision, digging the holes, filling them in with the concrete, and measuring again. Posts first, then foot and top headers in place (all with measuring within), the board panels, included with the lattice, and finally two gates installed. His communication was good too. All waste was taken away. This took nearly 9 hours total. He even after it was done took a look at my neighbor's gate that was having problems closing. He fixed it without an issue. My neighbor's fence was done by a different company. I told all my neighbors if they want a fence built, Gonzalez is the company to call! read more

First off- Great service. Great communication. It looks exactly like the pictures of the other houses. He and his team were on time and off and running to get the job done. Had the old fence down in about an hour and was framing within 3 hours. Super fast. (I had had another fence done 5 years ago and it took them 5 days to do the straight line 75 feet of fence. Carlos could have had it done in 2 days based upon how well his team worked. Lastly, I have no idea about costs. Did I get a good price or not? Not sure. I do know that materials prices are way up. After the job was complete, I didn't really care. I think it was around $45.00/foot with lattice. Workmanship was phenomenal and it was fast. thank you, Carlos. It said super privacy on the bid, but Gonzalez didn't match the fence with the adjacent fence so the back fence of my neighbor's fence is two feet higher than mine. It looks bad. More information would have resulted in better understanding of fence choices. I am not a fence professional so he could have helped me get the fence I wanted with complete information.
