LIES! These idiots sold me a Kirby vacuum and said that it came with a lifetime warranty. When I called Kirby today, I was told that was a lie and that they have a 3-year warranty. Now I'm stuck paying for service on a $1,000 vacuum. Complete crap! A man called Jose came to my door and said if I wanted a room cleaned i.e. carpet or a sofa clean he would do it free of charge while he explained Kirby vacuums. In order to get in he said it would take 20 minutes. His sales job went on and on and on and I never got my loveseat cleaned. I really wonder if what Jose told me was true and even if his name was Jose. I also wonder if he is an authorized Kirby dealer. He left after a long time to get a refurbished Kirby that was light weight to offer me for sale. He apparently return two hours later and I was asleep. I had called an hour and a half before he returned and left a message saying I would not be available after four. I called and left messages three times and never got a response. I'm not upset at the company, just annoyed and disappointed in the information I was given when I purchased a kirby from the sales person from this Location. When I asked if the 3 day cancellation applies to me, "No, it's yours right when you sign"..well they lied.. but only found out a few months later while searching the internet. Bummer..now I'm stuck with a heavy vacuum that's super annoying!! I plan to resale this hunk of metal...and be completely honest about it! AND if they come knocking...dont let them in..your 30 min carpet cleaning takes 3 to 4 hours because of the back and forth with the salesman and his boss. NOT to mention if you go to overstock.com or Wal-Mart.com..they sale refurbished vacuums. Just keep that in mind when they offer to sale you the used vacuum they are cleaning your floors with. This felt like a scam to me. Salesman was super nice and professional. Convinced me to buy at a good deal. Great vacuum don't get me wrong. Kirby's are the best. However they are heavy and not really what I needed. Guy failed to inform me I could return it in 3 days. Thankfully my dad told me about that rule. I sent in the notice to cancel in time. Then spent the next 3 weeks trying to get someone to come pick it up. They are based in Bakersfield and I am in the five cities. They salesman told me when he sold it that they are in the area all the time and have prearranged routes and their schedule already set up in advance. His boss said the same thing but could not give me a time and date they could come by. She told me she had already been by the house twice and no one was home - which was a flat out lie- so therefore she couldn't help me. My only option was to drive out there 2.5 hrs and 2.5 hrs back to return it in the next week or ship it priority or I would be stuck with a $1600 vacuum. When I showed up to return it the front desk person had absolutely no customer service skills. I think the product was good. I just think their motivation for good customer service is not there if there is no deal out of it. read more

Super disappointed in the service and will not recommend to anyone!!! They sold me a "barely used" vacuum according to them & that it was last years model and came from a good home & it was in perfect condition and they cleaned it. That was SUCH A LIE!!! It was more like 5 years old & in horrible condition and smells like dog and cigarettes even with me washing the bag several times in hot water like they recommended I cant not get rid of the smell when I called him back to tell him we couldn't stand the smell it was awful and he said he would make it right if it didn't take care of the smell once we wash it a few times well he never did make it right! He said he would be back in a week to drop off the missing piece that didn't come with the set we were promised and that was months ago and every time my husband calls he says yeah I will be out your way in a couple days and never shows up. Do not let them into your house. I came home from work and these guys were harassing my girlfriend trying to come inside my house. I pulled up to the driveway and this guy kept begging me to get inside of my house to show me a demo. I told him no and he kept begging I finally said yeah. The demo consisted of them putting a carpet seal on the carpet. They said it would take 5-10 minutes and they would leave I told them ok and that I had to go shopping. The dude was basically there for 2 hours vacuuming my carpet when he asked me if I was interested I said no I can't afford it, so he called his boss. The boss showed up to my house still trying to sell me a vacuum. I kept telling them to leave. They finally got the hint and took off. How are you gonna lie and say your gonna come inside for 5-10 minutes to put carpet seal on then lie and try to sell a vacuum. This company needs to be investigated. read more

I can't believe all the bad reviews on here for these guys. They have been absolutely amazing to me. Marvin was a very easy going salesman, sold me an amazing product I've always wanted and was able to help make it affordable with my budget as far as payments go. My carpet had never felt as clean or fluffs back up to the point I can see my footprints in it after I vacuum even after a professional has come and cleaned them since I've purchased and used the Kirby's avalir 2. It's the vacuum and carpet shampooer combo. Kirby's are heavy and expensive BECAUSE they are built to last as long as you MAINTAIN them regularly like you would a car. Every 2-3 months you check the belt, the bag, the hoses, etc. And replace as needed. People spend thousands each year on the newest phones that only last 2-3 years but complain about a vacuum that as long as you MAINTAIN it, will last you 15+ yrs. Since they've started making them with aluminum they're not nearly as heavy as the ones my GMA and Mom have that are steal by the way. Read the fine print on stuff before you buy it is common sense. If you get financed through their financing I suggest paying it off as quickly as possible or see if you can get a better rate with a personal loan and call them back if you really want it though. read more

The ater service care you cant beat the warranty on the product is superior and the managment here truly care about there customers. The rep was asking questions about my house and my neighbors and when I advised him that I was not interested and asked him to leave, he of course kept trying to pitch me his sale. I had to get stern with him and order him off of my property. Then as he's walking away he just starts laughing and says, "what the F*#(." I have no use for this company. I am concerned about the young girls that keep coming to my door relentlessly! They have all been very kind, but they come at odd hours, even late at night. There is always a man sitting in a vehicle, motor running, waiting for them. Today, I noticed multiple young girls in the vehicle with this man. Windows all rolled up, girls looking down, while he was puffing away on a cigarette! When these girls first came to the door, I thought they were friends of my teenage sons. I asked this young girl how old she was, she stated she was 22. I asked her if she was from here, she replied yes and told me how she was going through this apprenticeship program selling Kirby's. She stated she was also taking classes at BC. I asked her how she felt about the changes BC has made to ease the parking situation for students?She became visibly uncomfortable and then her story changed. She said, she is actually not from here, and only taking online classes at BC. I tried to continue casual conversation, she just kept looking over her shoulder to the running vehicle behind her. I am not sure if the young people who came to my door are actually from there, but the name was on the paper they showed me.I never let these people into my home, but just happened to walk out the door to check on something and up these two young women came! They explained, I said fine what a blessing! I was just about to call someone to get a quote on cleaning the dining room and the living room furniture! I agreed, did not realize that I would regret it! After a few minutes one of the young ladies and a young man came in. Now this is after being assured " we are not selling anything, we are doing this for free, just to show you the prouduct and what it can do!" Their supervisor Jesse came in with them and gave the whole spiel.He stunk of cigarette smoke, very unprofessional. I have severe asthma and that is one of my biggest triggers. He leaves and the young man starts unpacking the vacuum, he starts vacuuming the dining room showing me one filter after the next and it is very impressive! So he did the mattress in our guest room and I was also blown away. I was there talking and laughing with them,being friendly. Then the pressure begins,now they said it was going to be cleaning the carpet and the living room furniture! The pressure tactics started right as he was done vacuuming! Nothing else was done.I explained, I want it, I need it but we are getting ready to buy a house and it is a larger downpayment as well as closing costs etc, once we have that settled, I can get it. He kept asking me "but what if we can give you a crazy deal?" I said I told you what we have going on and I cannot do it right now, I said technically I could put it on a credit card but I made a commitment to my family that we are buying a house! He said "ok let me call my boss and see what is the absolute best deal he can give" I hear him explaining to his boss what he did, what he suggested but not what I said, so I ask to speak to him and I am explaining the same thing, this ignorant man Jesse starts screaming at me that I am rude and he has never had a customer rude like me"! Wait what? You are the one screaming at me while I am still trying to explain..And I am still telling this guy, I cannot do it right now, I want it but it has to wait for a little. The young man takes the phone back and I could see him turning red..I could only imagine what this man was telling him! I hear him screaming at this kid on the phone! When the young man gets off the phone he said they have to pack up and leave, so I asked so the carpet is not getting cleaned? They said no he will not let us finish it! I say "so I give you all over an hour and a half putting off what I had to do and moved things out of my dining room for this? I asked them for his full name they denied they have it, I asked for his phone number, they said they couldn't give it to me or they would be in trouble! He said "my boss told me somethings to say to you but I will not repeat it! I said tell me....he said :my boss said not veryone can afford a Kirby" Hmm that is not what he said! He told this kid that he lives in this area and most of my neighbors have Kirby's and he lives in one of the big houses..What the...does that have to do with anything?
