I have been getting their cheese cap drinks with no other toppings, and everything has been delicious so far. I can't comment on their other toppings since Im usually not a boba or jelly fan.

We also came with a big group so we had a large order of drinks! There was only one worker and the poor worker was working as fast as she can. After waiting some time, there was another employee coming in to help out to expedite our order lol. Trying the osmanthus whole lemon tea, it was pretty standard. Nothing too special, but I also just wanted something refreshing. It was definitely nice enough to keep the day going. I do wish she was able to put the whole lemon into slices in there, but it was literally just semi-sliced with the whole lemon lol. I think many people also mentioned that the drinks are generally pretty sweet here. The boba shop is pretty small, also connected to a supermarket. Boba shop has very limited seating, but the neighborhood also seems very quiet so it doesn't feel busy at all. I also thought this was the same Koi chain from Singapore(?) but it is not.

Yelpers need to step it up here in Calgary. Only 15 reviews when Google has 1.3K reviews? Yeah,…read moreI visited Royaltea because of Google, not Yelp. My wife and I were greeted by Pat (the owner?) as soon as we walked in. He was happy to see and hear that he had visitors from the south. Since they weren't that busy, Pat was able to make conversation with us. After the talk was over, we ordered some kind of tea for my wife, and a mango sago drink for me. I don't think my wife understood their menu very well. She ordered what she thought was a milk tea. What she got had no milk in it. After leaving, she made me go back in to see if Pat could add some milk in it. Pat was able to fix the drink more to her liking. My mango sago drink was very good. Royaltea was a good place. Pat was a wonderful guy. Drinks were good. Will have to go back when visiting Calgary again.

Mousse was a cheese foam - Crème brûlée taro milk ($8.98 large) - taro was fresh, not overly sweet - Taro coconut with milk ($7.30 regular) Drinks are pricey but decent for Cowtown.

We are big fans of boba tea so we are always willing to try something new. We weren't really a fan of the drinks we picked. My partner ordered the brown sugar oat milk tea and she ended up tossing hers. She said it had a weird after taste and the pearls were slimy. Which tells me they don't store the pearls the way they should be. We don't have those issues with Gong Cha and Happy Tea. I ordered the strawberry green tea and was not expecting all that they put in it. There were apple and orange slices and there was like this weird slushy consistency to it. The pearls in the drink were funky. After I strained my drink I was able to drink it. On the flip side, I loved their presentation and packaging. I'm not sure we will be trying them again but I'll consider it. Maybe it was just an off day for them. Who knows. But you don't know until you try.

They also have daily lunch specials (most of those are meat-containing and we usually eat vegetarian) but the value for those looks good.
