Todd! Thank you so much for helping get our RV back on the Road! Now my mom can go on her trip to cherry valley and life will get back to normal. It's nice when you have someone you can trust working on your coach. read more

I received the referral for Gone Fishin from someone who stores their RV in the storage space as I do. I called and scheduled the appt to do a diagnostic of my issue. The day of, no show, sent him a text if he wanted to reschedule and we did go next week. Today is the day and again no show. Now I could've called the day before to confirm the appt, but do I really need to remind a business that they have an appt, especially twice? read more

Todd Knows how, but Drinks, and is a Hack - in my opinion. I have many pictures. Something must have happened in his life that he is having trouble with. Used him twice with good results. The 3rd time was a Disaster!! He lied to my face after, and still owes me money for undone work. On top of it, the roof leaked. Good idea, Lousy workmanship. Also, my rear marker lites make the trailer look like a 'tard installed them - he didn't use a template, as I suggested - a no- brainer!!! Then he was Rude. *Less than Zero - 2019 Perhaps he got his head figured out. I pray so, but once Burned - never return! read more

Todd comes to my house, performing PM on my trailer and minor repairs. He's been doing this over 15 years, so I trust his judgement.

Todd came by last Thursday gave me a quote for repairs and recommended a roof reseal. Agreed to cost and recommendations. Said he would stat work next Monday. On Monday I called and Todd said hurt his back and he would do the work on Wednesday. On Wednesday he said he was on another job but would take care of my RV on Thursday at 11 AM. It's Thursday at 3 PM now, no call , no work done, no Todd. read more

Todd is amazing! We were having an issue with our batteries. Bonnelli Bluffs gave us his number, we called him and he helped us over the phone! No charge! Everything is working now. Such a very nice man. We will call him again. read more

Had Todd come out and fix a few things. Was ON TIME(!) and really knows his stuff. He even helped me out with something that he didn't have to at all. He definitely has his rules, which may explain any lower star reviews. But there are always people that are never happy or only want it their way. So, highly recommend Gone Fishin' RV Repair...you won't be sorry. read more

Had an electrical issue and was referred to Gone Fishin by my mechanic. They were EXTREMELY responsive. They first tried to assist over the phone, but unfortunately the repair was too complicated, so they followed up with an in person service call. They were prompt, completed a full diagnostic service of my RV and identified two issues. They were able to quickly resolve them, but didn't stop there. They were also able to make some additional minor repairs that had been neglected by prior electricians. Highly recommend them, can't say it enough. There's a lot of electricians in the sea but don't get "shocked" by lesser than options, look no further than Gone Fishin to help you "catch" your issue. read more

They were quick to respond and replace my motorhomes air conditioner. But after the service I made several attempts to get an invoice. As of today I still don't have an invoice and my insurance will not repay me for the services done, until I get an invoice! read more

I called the vendor in order to get a quote on a RV refrigerator repair but they never returned my call

***Amazing Service*** Todd is example of what true customer service looks like!!! I just got back from a two week vacation to come back to my RV and find it half working. Refrigerator was out and all my food was spoiled and the smell is so bad, also to find 2 out of 3 A/C's were out as well, started to panic as it's 84degrees inside and smells, I call around to find nobody to answer the phone, but when I tried Todd he was quick to answer and literally guided me through on how to fix my RV without even being there. (Imagine explaining calculus to a child is the equivalent of me learning electrical) Todd told me I was too far away for him to come over to physically help. Also knew he wasn't gonna make any money off me also July 4 weekend calling him on a Sunday evening and he still took an hour out of his time to coach me over the phone and get everything working properly and where I can get my parts and if that's not true customer service or just flat out a great human being then I don't know what one is Thank you Todd. You are great. read more

Gone Fishin must have gone fishing. NO RESPONSE to text or voicemail. If you're too busy or don't want the job just respond and say you can't do it. Don't just leave people hanging. read more

Our Motorhome slide would not retract when we were ready to return home from a weekend trip. Our extended warranty called Todd for us. He showed up quicker than they said and got right to work troubleshooting the slides. Great service and great attitude got us on the road home. We will be using him for all our repairs ! read more

OK, I almost never write reviews, but THIS is THE Company to fix your RV. Owner Todd quickly responded out to fix a plumbing problem I had and did a great job. He was responsive, showed up on time, was very personable and provided outstanding customer service. After he left, I thought another separate problem had developed and called him back. He was in the area, responded immediately and took care of that too, no charge because he was so close by. As a business owner I appreciate good customer service. Look no further than Gone Fishin' RV Repair. Todd is your guy! read more

Don't waste your time! This guy was horrible about returning calls. Then he set an appointment, flaked on it without so much as a call, and when we followed up to ask why he know no showed, we didn't get a response or returned call. Bad service, save your time and energy, go somewhere else. read more

We arrived at our destination and a slider malfunctioned. Once my husband knew it was beyond his capabilities I started calling mobile rv repair people. We didn't know if we should unpack or just go home. Told was luckily working a few sites away. He checked it out quickly and determined he would need to return the following day to spend quality time troubleshooting. We stuck it out and made the best of it. Right before dark our electricity stopped working appropriately. So when Todd and his assistant came in the morning (earlier than promised) they both went to work on our issues. By lunchtime all was fixed and we could finally enjoy our trip! Todd saved the trip. We already trust him more than the place we store our 5th wheel. In the future we will have Gone Fishing do our repairs. read more

Todd fixed our RV generator in the time frame that he said he would. He put our minds at ease as we prepare for our first dry camping experience. He's a very personable guy and wealth of information. Thank you, Todd!!! read more

Had a problem with my slide out room, and Todd came out to investigate. He diagnosed the problem to the controller. After he left, he called me back and mentioned that the part was expensive, and he wanted to come out again to double check, just to verify his diagnosis before I ordered the part. Who does that, just to make sure the customer doesn't spend more money than necessary? It certainly impressed me. I got the part, and Todd installed it today. Everything is back to working! He even gave me a couple of recommendations on other improvements I could make to the trailer. To top it all off, his price was lower than expected. I highly recommend Gone Fishin RV Repair! read more

On our way to the Roadster Show in Pomona, our flamed '40 Ford breaks a fuel pump leaving us on the side of the road. As we're about to call for a tow along comes Todd Mcgarvey. He diagnoses the problem, leaves (in his personal truck while on his personal time) to find us a pump, comes back with tools, lays in the street, fixes the car and the new gas leak, and has us back on the road in under 2 hours. We do not believe he charged us enough, seriously! And the Roadster Show was great! His shop deserves any work you can give them. read more

I had a leak in my pop up trailer's sink. We were leaving in a few days to go camping. Called Todd and made an appointment for the next day 9:00 am. He quoted me a reasonable price, and was done in about 1/2 hour. He fixed the problem for less $ and with less hassle than bringing to an rv dealer/repair shop. read more

Todd is simply wonderful, Compressor for A/C would not turn off in our travel trailer. We called Todd 2 days before we were set to depart and he came to our house and diagnosed the issue, went and got the part and fixed the problem all in that short time period!! Awesome service at a wonderful price, especially when he comes to you!!! Thx Todd read more

Incredible service, very fair pricing and a great mechanic! Our generator wouldn't start and my (Former RV Repair Shop) stated the carburetor was bad and needed to be replaced... for $600.00. Todd at Gone Fishin RV Repair spent less than 5 minutes tuning the carb and had the generator fixed within minutes. Mobile onsite repair very convenient! read more

Todd is the kind of small business owner you wish everyone could be. He responded next day to repair a broken valve stem and lubrication of the slide-out on our Class A RV. He corrected a previous repair on the roof seal (done by another RV repair service) and completely resealed the entire roof. He doesn't give up when dealing with a difficult repair... can you spell 'perseverance'? He charged a very reasonable price for several hours of labor plus parts and supplies. I will be sure to contact him again when other repairs may be needed. Thanks Todd, for a very good job! Sincerely, Karl U. (PS. now get that pickup fixed, Todd - LOL inside joke) read more

I don't often put reviews up but I feel this one is well deserved. Our AC went out in our Montana fifth wheel. We live in it full-time so we wanted to get someone out here right away being that were in Southern California. I called my regular guy and he couldn't get us in until June 6. I called five RV repair shops. Todd at Gone Fishing responded within an hour and he was at my door a half hour after we spoke on the phone. He was polite, very professional and he diagnosed the problem very quickly. He had to order the part. The part was in the next day. Todd at Gone Fishing gets 5 stars!!! We highly recommend his services. Thank you Todd. read more

Todd was super knowledgeable about RVs. He took the time to talk to me about what need to be repaired and how to maintain it. Best part of all he came to us! read more

We used Todd for the first time in Nov 2018. We were extremely happy with the work he performed. Todd came out the week prior to discuss the issues we were having and to provide an estimate, he was on time, very friendly and he knew what he was talking about. For the scheduled appointment he was also on time and he did an excellent job fixing the issues we were having. Clean quality work. I would highly recommend Todd based on our experience. I would definitely use him again the next time we need work done. read more

Would highly recommend to everyone! Great service, beyond fair prices! Todd is great and we will use his service again and again.

Todd followed through and came out to change our oil without me having to take it to a dealer. He also did a safety check and found a broken bracket holding a steering control arm. He could not locate the bracket, so he took it with him and welded it. Nice guy, thorough, and reasonable pricing. read more

We had a water leak from the kitchen sink in our motor home, we left a message on Easter Sunday & Todd returned our call the same day & came to RV park the next day. Fixed us right up, reasonable price & friendly guy. VERY pleased & would call him again if we have a need in this area. read more

I was tired of having to pay exorbitant fees, waiting for appointments and driving this big RV across town to either of the two big local large RV repair businesses. A coworker suggested I call Todd at Gone Fishing Mobile RV repair. He came over the next day to give me an estimate to repair a lot of small items and returned the following Monday to do the work. I kept adding forgotten items to his repair list and he was more than gracious in complying. He was able to change the generator filters, inspect and seal the roof, replace the refrigerator door, and do the routine maintenance that we don't have time to do including lubing all of the moving parts and blowing out the appliance lines. He happily answered many questions I had about the coach. Todd really went above and beyond by helping install our new home kitchen range that was delivered during his service. I am so grateful that I did not have to hassle calling a plumber. He did all of this for a fraction of what the "big guys" would have charged. I will definitely call him again. read more

Gone Fishin RV Repair - Ready for our next trip after repairs done by Gone Fishin! - RV Repair Near Me - Glendora, California

Do not take your RV to Gone Fishin RV Repair, if you want it done right take it else were. took my Rv there an it was a disaster. i needed a roof leak fixed, new kitchen floor an new carpet.Todd said they could do that with no problem. it took them two month to get it done. the night i picked it up the kitchen floor was real sticky, come to find out they over sprayed glue on it, after two try's to get the glue off i told Todd i want it replaced, his reply was he had no money to buy the material. so i had to buy the material. have had the coach back for two weeks now an the floor is starting to come up in the middle, just poor workmen ship. We picked the color of carpet we wanted from the samples he had there. i stopped by one day after work an they were putting in the WRONG color carpet, he said he couldn't get the color we wanted for another month an this was the same color carpet, a blind man could see it wasn't, lucky for Todd we liked the color. had to take it back twice to get the carpet fixed. again poor workmen ship. But the real kicker, when i get my Rv home the first time, i see TWO SCREWS STICKING THRU the side of my coach, they used ones that were to long to hold the dinette in place. that took them two weeks to fix. again poor workmen ship Each time i had to take it back, Todd would have it for two or three weeks even when he told me just a couple of days. every time i took it back to fix something they did i had to listen to Todd complain how this is costing him money. read more

I was referred to Todd at Gone Fishin' RV by a local RV parts place. He drove to my house and worked on my new to me 5th wheel - it needed roof reseal, wheel bearing service and generator service. He did an amazing job and I will be calling him again. I was skeptical after seeing a couple grumpy reviews here but I'm glad I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Nice guy and his yellow lab was pretty cool too! Thanks Todd. read more
