They really do more than "put you in boat", with high level knowledge of the area we left early to get to a good fishing spot where the salmon were running. Dallin was our guide and he was amazing! With super high energy, zest for life, and a passion for fishing, he made our day so enjoyable. Although there were Emergency Orders issued the day we flew to Alaska (no King Salmon fishing allowed in Kenai, no bait permitted, no multi hoon lines, etc), Jared improvised and switched us from the Kenai River to the Kasilof River. We caught one large 10lb Sockeye Salmon on the first day. Despite other boats coming up empty. And on the second day, we caught two King/Chinook salmon. One was a large 20lb hen. Good news and bad news, it was a Wild King Salmon, which meant we had to release it. The second was a 10lb hatchery King Salmon. My kids were thrilled. Can't wait to go back and fish with Jared.

The days on the water fishing with Dave were INCREDIBLE! He is patient, kind, funny, engaging and has an amazing amount of institutional knowledge about fishing the Kenai Peninsula area. We were originally planning to fish for two days on the Kasilof River for Silver Salmon and then one day on the Kenai River fly fishing for trout. When the conditions were not up to his standards, he pivoted and changed the plan to make sure everyone in our group had the best experience possible. I enjoy learning by trial and error. Argh! I have never hooked and lost so many fish. Then John put me on the fish and taught me how to land them. He actually guided me right to the fish.
