This has been a bit of a ride working with this company. I have to say that the original order and process/ customer service started out rocky, but Tanner (Director of customer service) made everything right in the end. Originally ordered a driver by Mizuno for a birthday - which was shipped out and lost by USPS. After 4-5 calls back and forth, Tanner addressed my order issues and reached out to Mizuno directly to order a new club and expedite it for me (this was going on 9-10 days later from the original order). Turns out the older model driver was no longer made, so he ordered me the 2023 model (newer tech, why not!) The club just arrived today. I hadn't played golf in 5 months. In my 20s-30s, I was a 3-4 day a week golfer, but I only average playing 4-6 times a year for the past 25 years.. My brother and I grew up playing at the local course. He started young & has a fluid "Couples-like" swing; I on the other hand, studied Jack Nicklaus' Lessons Tee & Ben Hogan's 5 Fundamentals & have a more mechanical swing. We have always loved golf. As a child, my mom would drop me at the course at dawn - i remember the smell of clean-cut grass & the momentum killing rooster-tail dew; I'd play 72 holes a day until I could barely see the ball after hitting it, it was so dark. Once my brother, who's 8 years younger, caught up to me in strength, his drives would soar past my Sunday punch with regularity, which meant he'd be 30-40 yards closer to the greens on our approach. This happened all my life, until I bought a new golf set at Golfballs.com this past Monday. I was always an "off brand", "discount store", "maybe this will work", "$19.99 special" type golfer, when it came to buying my golf clubs. I can remember my first set was a Wilson's Julius Boros I purchased at the Northgate Mall sidewalk sale; it had a laminated 3-wood, no driver and the standard 3-5-7-9 makeup of the starter sets. I remember taking that set home, and lemon oiling each club, and even sleeping with it for the first couple of months. That set replaced a hand-me-down Sears Signature set, whose shafts would have made good rebar for cement reinforcing. I was 10. I feel fortunate because I grew up in the Gold Age of Sports - Ali, Frazier, Cowboy Bill Watts, undefeated Dolphins, Bradshaw, Dempsey's kick, Jenner's decathlon, Tom Landry - but it was golf that consumed me - Trevino, Palmer, Player, Hubie Green, Watson, Gentle Ben, Weiskopf, Miller - each one taking their turn at dethroning my idol Jack. I can still see The Golden Bear address the ball, turning his head slightly to the right during his pre-shot routine and "murdertizing the ball" like my dad would say. Year-after-year, I would try to emulate Jack in my backyard, playing for hours with a makeshift artificial turf 4X6 rug that I would play with a Jonny Bulla wedge which help me develop a tremendous short game. I had gotten to where I was 4-6 handicap at my best, but always thought I was better than the score indicated. I turned 60 this past June, and although I have only been averaging playing 4-6 times a year, my heart always wants to play more, but my obligations kill any plans. I had been telling my wife that I was going to buy me a golf set for years. Any time money would become available, like with inheritances or bonuses or raises, I would jokingly say, "now I can by me a golf set" but never would. Last Monday, I "got a hair......", and took off work and drove to GolfBalls.com Retail Center. I wanted to play golf with my brother that day, but I had it in my mind that I would only go with a new golf set. I arrived in the parking lot at 8:30, & was the first customer when they unlocked the door. The salesman, Mr. Vidrine, guided my purchase. I told him of my history, and he escorted me to the back of the store where the simulator was located. It was like "country come to town" I didn't realize the details involved in getting the club matched to my swing. The screen had every possible statistic you could want, swing speed, spin, face angle, etc. I told Mr. Vidrine I knew nothing about the modern technology of the equipment, but that I didn't want to order anything, that I wanted to leave with a set of clubs. Mr. Vidrine chose Calloway B21 irons. Although I had subscribed to Golf Digest for years when I was younger, I had not read or researched any of the modern day game improvements within the last 10 years or so. I guess I am lucky, because for 60, I am still relatively well-muscled and maintained a Doug Sanders'-like swing that is pretty repeatable even when I go for months without practice. Mr. Vidrine handed me a 7-iron, and I hit about 5 balls, averaging about 170 yards and pretty straight. I was like a kid in a candy shop. My normal club for 170 has always been a 5-iron, and there better not be any wind. The club seem to have a magnet-like polar detraction to the ball, almost like the ball would jump off the club face, sort of like when you put the same polarity of magnet together and the magnets repel each other. We then moved to the Driver and the 3-wood (and if I wouldn't be married, I would have gotten the 5-wood). There was one life-time question answered during this fitting, I never knew what flex my shaft should be. During the fitting, I found that the irons with a Regular Shaft set the club at the right position during impact, whereas because I am more aggressive with the woods, the 1 & 3 woods provided a better performance using the Stiff Shaft - (PART 1 OF 2) read more

For Canada Deliveries BEWARE. The website was great. Ordered exactly what I wanted at a good price. Then the "fun" happened. Shipping costs to Canada have gone up 350% from when I last ordered 1.5 years ago. The shipment came on time as expected, but then I get a bill from FedEx Express for duties, tariffs and administration that was 50% of the cost of the original order. This did not happen on my previous order, so I suppose it is hit and miss so BEWARE. So, in the end NOT a good deal price wise, but I can't find anywhere else that you can get the alignment aid and initials put on golf balls in Canada. Maybe I should just do it manually myself. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY!! Contacted this company about a little over a month from our golf event. I was promised that the shipment will arrive 2 weeks prior from our event. I kept emailing Britt back and forth. I would always email him for updates and call. He never kept me updated on my order I was always the one to contact him. 1 week before the event i still hadn't received the shipment. I was concerned but again Britt assured me everything is fine they had an issue with production and I was GUARANTEED my delivery will arrive before my event. My event was on a Tuesday so i called him the Friday morning before the weekend. He apologized and said not to "worry" my shipment is due to arrive by Monday (day before the event). Called him on Monday, with a stuttering voice he said they lost the package and it will not be arriving. I WAS IN COMPLETE SHOCK AND DISAPPOINTED! I asked him why did he literally wait last minute to inform me that my shipment won't even arrive. He claims it was lost. I contacted his managers, VP and wrote them an email and all i got was.. We're sorry. Sorry was not going to bring me the shipment we ordered. If Britt knew there was an issue 2 weeks before why wasn't there any type of communication. All he had to say was it looks like we can't make your order. That's fine I could have worked with another company. Instead they embarrassed me and my company by not having the merchandise. I noticed that order status not changed so I texted a support person who said my order was for some reason frozen but that he fixed it and it should be delivered today August 12. They look like they were put in the sleeves with the personalized message wet. Of the twelve balls only four were totally complete. The rest of the balls all had ink smeared on the inside of the sleeve and the letters of the personalized name were missing ink. horrible. I paid for 24 hour printing and 2 day air shipping so that I would have my order on Friday. It wasn't a guess on my part, the website presented many choices for delivery dates, I picked Friday because I needed the order for a surprise party on Saturday. They end up shipping on Friday for Monday delivery ! I called and was told I'd get a refund (doesn't help me). They indicated they would check into how this possibly could have occurred, like this problem was a first for them. Now I look at reviews online and find people with the same experience.
