I just went here to buy a club and did not realize when I left that I would be scammed. I walked in and was met w mediocre service. I found out that I was SCAMMED when I left and looked up the same club was $50 less. I could not look up the club in the store as they have no service in the store. And their used golf clubs have no refunds never go here I'm a teenager who has saved up over the summer to buy myself a new club and was scammed out of my hard earned money. read more

This store has been a Mecca of golf for north west broward county for decades. The do expert fitting and can get anything you want if they don't have it. Been coming to Golf Trader for years and have always gotten great service. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They added a second fitting area now that is pretty much state of the art. Rhad irons fitted and got some great swing tips at the same time. They're here to help and will sell you only what you need. Highly recommended. Just had another great experience in this golf store. My wife had a gap in distance and wasn't sure which club would work best to fill the gap. Brian spent a good deal of time and figured out that a 7 wood would be the right choice. Turns out he was right. Just finished a round and the club worked perfectly. Really happy with the service. The customer service here is not good. The asian/ Pacific Islander employee working here is aggressive and abrasive. The price was right, unfortunately the service was not on par. I most definitely would've gave them my business, I couldn't imagine being middle aged and displaying this type of behavior, especially to a paying customer. Reenergizing my golf game and it started with a fitting with Piap and his knowledge, experience, patience and understanding. Walked out with a great set of Callaway woods and irons after my 45 minute session that extended easily into a 90 minute fitting and coaching session! Upgraded grips to fit my hands and no clubs I'd never use - no 3 wood, no long irons. We checked several locations before selecting Golf Traders. Itvwaa definitely the right decision. read more

The highest praise I can give Golf Trader is directed at their staff and customer service. Golf and golf supplies can be very intimidating and the Gold Trader staff eases the anxiety by being knowledgeable and putting no pressure on you to make a sale. Been coming here for five years and have always walked out very happy. Fair price on clubs new and used. I use Austin there and could not recommend him more highly. After trying five sets of irons he said. " keep your irons-you hit them better than any if the others." Now that's honesty! I have been using these guys for over 15 years. They have always had a better deal then ANYBODY around. I have bought all of my golf equipment from Golf Trader. Steve is awesome. Marty is great. The whole gang is knowledgeable and very very helpful. They tell you how it is and the truth about the equipment you think you want. They have nice used golf clubs for beginners and everybody else. (we always need something). They take trades and give you some good trade value. Why keep those clubs you don't need, use or want. They have all the latest equipment. They sell you what you need. I did some research prior to going to Golf Trader. I had my clubs for 12 years and needed a new set. But I wanted a set of irons that fit me as well as my game. I spoke to a rep and explained my handicap and type of clubs I wanted to try. I spent about an hour and a half testing 6/7 types of irons, shaft flex, and was measured. Brian and I narrowed down to 2 types of irons that fit me all around. I came back a week later and hit just the 2 types of irons I liked best. The Rep was patient, he viewed the numbers on my swing, made some good suggestions and put the right clubs in my hand. I'm a mid handicapper and was overly impressed with Golf Trader and would HIGHLY RECOMEND you visit this location for any golf needs!! read more

Terrible service! My husband and I were in there for 10 minutes and not once did anyone ask if we needed any assistance. One employee bumped into me three times and not once said excuse me or can I help you!!! They clearly didn't want our business, which was fine. We went to a different golf store that had excellent service regardless of what COLOR you are and spent over $1000! They were busy when I got there but they still managed to regrip my clubs in under 30 minutes. They have a great selection of pre owned clubs and the prices are very fair, best I've ever seen to be honest besides Golfsmith back in the day. I walked out with an M1 driver, M1 3 wood, Nike Vr 5 wood, Nike Vr 4 hybrid, and 7 clubs re gripped for $550. Also have 2 hitting stations, I didn't try to trade anything in so I can't speak on that which is why I'm giving 4 stars, but I would HIGHLY recommend this place. I was thinking about getting a new (used) driver and decided to go back to Golf Trader where I had often been before. I brought my current driver with me so that we could compare results. After testing my driver and various other drivers in the store, I was told, very politely, that I didn't need a new driver but I did need a new swing. I was very impressed with fact that they did not try to sell me just to sell something. I have purchased clubs and had clubs regripped in 5 minutes and have always been completely satisfied. Golf Trader was a stop encouraged by a good friend. He knows the owner/operators. GT's is a local area supplier of golf equipment and accessories. The shop is not a mega-store so buying, say, golf clubs might be best to work closely with sales there. My impression was they will get it if they don't have it. Caution - a smaller store like GT might push what's on the floor - only natural. The floor is split into two rooms. Right-side room has a slew of used equipment. My impression was this could be a nice place to bargain, trade-in, trade-up and even try a few used clubs or club lines. Everything from old school hybrids, drivers, full and incomplete irons, wedges, chippers, putters... all there and used. The store has two testing bays which is a real must for today's shopper that is spending $400 - $600 on one piece of equipment or trying to be fitted. I noticed the back room for employees was club fittings, gripping and such. Bags galore, too, although I didn't feel like the bag business was big but it always helps with displays. I think the store would be a good place to haggle, hang-out, and bargain. My personal opinion is that I don't dabble in the art of swapping out clubs - I like mine. Golf Trader seems a good enough place that all your golf needs could be met. read more

Not impressed. Not worth drive up from south Broward. Although the 4 guys working there each said hi, they didn't have much further to say. Only one other customer present and he was being helped. One did ask what I was looking for, I guess I wasn't specific enough or he didn't care if I bought anything or not. Listed prices were about same as PGA store and they pay attention to your concerns. Left this hole in the wall and spent almost 2 k at PGA. Save yourself the gas money and don't bother. read more

Extremely happy with the customer service. I would highly recommend getting fitted for new or existing clubs. I can't say enough about Ty. He took the time to really analyze and understand what I was looking for in a new set of irons. Then carefully analyzed my swing and had me try the clubs he thought were best for me. I ended up going with the Callaway Apex irons and couldn't be happier. Even if you don't need new clubs I recommend a fitting. Before I bought the irons Ty fitted my wedges and immediately felt a difference in my ball striking. Again, ask for Ty if you go to get fitted or buy new clubs. read more

I have heard many people mention Golf Trader over the years. I was golfing with a group of friends the week before I was planning on getting a new set of irons, and asked for advice. Golf Trader came highly recommended. I took the drive out one afternoon, and left with my clubs ordered. I was fit my Ty, who has worked in the business for many years (I had met him at his store in Deerfield many years ago). He gave me great advice, and I never felt like I was being "sold" anything that wasn't the best fit for me. I went back the next week to be fitted for a new driver because I trusted his expertise and advice. They are a small store, but have a great selection and good pricing. They also have a large inventory of used equipment if you are in the market for that, and they will give you trade in value on your clubs when you upgrade.
