I called early on Wed morning and asked about the SuperStroke Zynergy Pistol. They had it in stock so I when I showed up they were not to busy. I was assisted by Matt Smith who helped me pick out the right size grip, did a quick measure on the club length and said it would be a few minutes. I walked next door to Home Depot for a few minutes and by the time I got back it was all done. I asked Mr Smith about Vet discount, he said "I'm sorry, I apologize we don't have that" He was sincere about it and it wasn't the first time I heard that. It was a great experience and so I recommend these guys once again. You won't be disappointed!

You go here for the variety and selection of gear. If you check their website before driving in you'll find they have a good one with up to date info and prices. All the walking and I've lost about 35 pounds the last two years so I needed some new belts. They have a brand called Laze which I like. Lot's of variety, decent prices and the seem to last. I also like that you can 'join their frequent purchase' program and save some cash. They really don't put much of their clothing on sale during the season but that's to be expected. You will find they will be stocking the latest and greatest in most all the golf gear you're looking for, especially golf balls, you will pay a bit more because the won't be available at a discount on Amazon yet. I like to get there "EARLY' because it gets very crowded on the weekends. It was well staffed at check-out and I was able to get in/out real quick without a wait in line. Everyone was nice and helpful. As I suspected in my first post, the other Golf gear store in the same shopping center went out of business.

All said and done I was a returning customer so it helped with some shipping cost as well as I purchased multiple clubs so I got a certain parentage off each club and being a first responder, PXGs hero discount took off some on the total order also. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and felt the price I paid was extremely fair compared to other big name golf clubs. 10/10 will be going back in the future to purchase more clubs from them to complete my set.

It flew into the woods and he teed up another ball and hit it with his driver. He left the head of the club in the woods but kept the shaft. I went back and got the head and asked did he want it, he said 'no', I don't want to fool with having it fixed. Since last summer, I've talked to several golf shops and pros at courses who do repair about getting it fixed. The conversation usually begins with: 'oh, I dunno, it might cost you a pretty penny'. I've not given up because I need a good 3 wood. Today, I called this shop and spoke to John. He asked some good questions and talked optimistically about the prospect of repair and replace with another shaft at a reasonable price. I took it in today and met with John who gave me a solid assessment and a reasonable estimate on repair PLUS a Senior discount! This is the kind of golf shop I'm willing to drive to from Fort Mill, SC. Great staff, 'can do' attitude and excellent customer service! Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

After 3 years of self guided lessons with every YouTube golf guru I was still struggling to be a consistent player. I came to Grant Gaugler III at golftec with a thin slice and never really knew where my ball would end up before I hit a shot. Not only does he have the experience as a competitive golfer to backup what he preaches but he is a natural teacher who really helps simplify concepts on top of just being an overall good guy. He helped me develop drastically better body mechanics while helping me understand why my "before swing" was leading to inconsistent results. There were definitely points of frustration on my part throughout the learning process and my swing is still a work in progress but after spending time working with Grant I feel 1,000x more confident stepping up to the ball. Not only am I not slicing the ball anymore, I'm even drawing it and noticing improvements across my entire game. SURPRiSE ha!! and took it in to Golf Galaxy to see about a trade before my son got home from college and saw my grand purchase. Bill Painter listened to my story without hysterical laughing, took a look at 'ole lefty and gave me a fair value for the club. He then proceeded to take the time to show me all of the options available in the club that I wanted in the used section and options in new as well. He explained how to determine what type of club I was looking at, what the numbers meant, basic info. on the difference between flex and regular shaft, etc. all without making me feel like an imbecile (ignoring the fact that I did just bring in a left handed club for a right handed golfer Ha!) I left Golf Galaxy tonight with an awesome RIGHT handed club for my son and the basic knowledge to attempt to go Rogue and buy another golf club one day without a golfer present. I went to the store on Thursday April 23rd at 6:45 PM expecting to leave my clubs with a request for a rush job for pick up on Friday as the store closes at 7 PM. Dalton (club technician) and Chandler (Ass't Mgr.) immediately swung into action (no pun intended) and put the new grips on right away. I was out the door at 7:05 that same evening. They saved me the time and headache of a return visit to pick my clubs up on Friday and didn't think about the fact they were inconvenienced by staying a few extra minutes to accommodate me. It is rare to have such a great experience and I am most appreciative. Edwin Watts certainly earned my loyalty from that.

Since then an independent management group has taken over. I met some friends for a 'tune-up' round in preparation for a charity tournament we're playing in. I called a week ahead to make the tee time and asked about their practice facilities. I was told they have a driving range, practice putting and chipping area. I drove from Fort Mill and got there an hourly early only to learn the range was shut down for 'over seeding'. There is no practice chipping area only a putting green. As I was entering the Pro Shop, I saw a sign that said 'Snack Bar'. Once I checked-in and got my cart key, I asked what time did the Snack Bar open. the lady said "oh, we don't have a snack bar". My response was " you got a snack bar sign, but no snack bar". She just stared at me. This course is ragged. I don't like the lay out, too many blind shots and poor sight lines. The greens and tee boxes were OK but the fairways were in bad shape and if you are out of bounds, you will lose your ball or be heavily penalized. There are creeks that criss cross the course with power lines above as well. There are some ponds but none that create difficulties for your shot. I was going to play 18 but after 9 holes, our group decided to stop play. The lady in our group was disappointed there were NO Red or forward tees, the gold or Senior tees are the most forward tees, sorry ladies, the City of Gastonia will receive your comments. The electric carts were in good condition and the ProShop was small with not very much gear for sale. They do sell beer and they have soda and snack food vending machines. I doubt I will return, just way too many other good options near where I live.
