A cute coffee stop located off of Bedford Ave close to Randolph college. I tried their blue matcha which was a seasonal drink of theirs. I got the matcha with oat milk and got the carrot cream cheese muffin. The muffin was a bit plain. The matcha was good, but since we were dining in I would have liked it to not have been in a to go cup. One thing I saw here that I have not seen before is they have a coffee vending machine just outside of the coffee shop! read more

If you ever need a lift in your spirits, go here. The coffee is great and that helps. But the people who work there, are so kind, so happy, so friendly. And they all seem to work so well together- never sitting still. If not busy taking orders or making drinks, they are making sure everything is clean and in order. Super hip place - I felt borderline too old and unhip. We ordered an iced London Fog and an iced sugar free vanilla oatmilk latté. My latté was very good. I highly recommend that order. The London Fog tasted a bit more watered down (by the ice) than we would have preferred. Oh! We also ordered some sprinkle cookies. You cannot go wrong with sprinkle cookies! I subtracted a star for noise. It's VERY loud in the shop. I subtracted another star for how packed it was. Everyone did appear to be wearing a mask, but having 60 people in an enclosed space, even with masks, seems risky. I added back a star because the kid that took my order was so nice. I should have tipped more. He brought my doggy some fresh water outside. Overall, we'd definitely go back (and probably will tomorrow during our morning dog walk). read more

Amidst the myriad of Starbucks shops and red brick interiors you have Golf Park Coffee, a coffee shop that provides a high quality service and spacious interior to get work done. They're open at optimal hours of the day and have a small selection of coffee and tea. This place is an optimal location to get work done if you need a change of pace, scenery, and don't want to run into pesky co-workers/classmates for fact that it's so far from the rest of Lynchburg proper. This place also has these water vases/pitchers so you don't have to awkwardly walk up to the counter to get more water after you've finished your 5th cup. All of the cream and sugar is behind the counter which is interesting but it does make the place look tidier than having this coffee condiment station that's in disarray. The bass of the music is just a tad too loud here but if you're the type to plug in headphones, turn on that "lofi beats to study to" and get to work, this is the place for you! read more

I'm giving this coffee shop five stars because of its superiority to other comparable coffee shops in the area. The coffee is good to great, but not excellent. Few places actually have excellent coffee. The seating is limited but at no fault of the shop itself. In actuality, it's more likely that you'll find a seat here than at most other shops around. The prices are as high as you would expect but worth it. The employees have always been friendly and quick the times I've visited. The only recommendation I have is to turn down the music by a couple notches. read more

Only downside is that it's not dog friendly (google says it is and the owners are working on updating that so be aware if you are traveling with your pup) there is a bench outside that I was able to hang out on and enjoy my coffee with my pup but not true patio seating. read more

I attended college in town and everyone always wants to come to this coffee shop. I personally don't get the hype. Is it the mirror that you see when you walk in or the "vibe" given off by the ~edgy~ staff. It all just seems overrated and overpriced. The atmosphere caters to a certain group of people, and the rest are left judged. Over the last two years they have not handle covid well. I don't care what "side" you stand on, the problem with golf park is that they are extremely inconsistent and treat everyone differently. Staff and customers have to wear mask, UNLESS they throw a huge party with shared meals and no masks. Everyone is expected to mask up UNLESS the staff decides to have a potluck after hours in the store with all their close friends. As a former customer, I am disappointed in their inconsistency with Covid protocols and have lost any desire to give Golf Park my business because of the hypocritical behavior. I have reached out several times asking for a clear answer on covid protocols, especially after recent parties being thrown. They would not respond, until I ask over and over again. read more

Golf Park is a great new shop in LYH. It's a purveyor of delicious cold brew and coffees. They also have a great vibe and plenty of seating. It's an ideal spot for getting some work done for school, your freelance work, or even just to grab a coffee and conversation with a friend. Per coffees, they've got pretty much anything you want, season syrupy goodness included (aka pumkin spiiiiiice)! That being said, all the feature drinks they have are mixed well and have good flavor. I dint understand how this place has a lower rating than La Vida. One of the best lattes around, refreshing, light, and smooth. I go to school in Richmond so I've been to Blanchards coffee (where golf park coffee gets their beans) and Blanchards lattes are awful. Golf park coffee finds a way to make Blanchards beans taste amazing. 10/10 ambiance too. read more

This little spot is super cute, great place to have a meeting. However, two out of three mornings I went they were out of their single origin coffee (they only have two kinds). One morning they were out of lids. All three mornings they double up the cup which is such a waste of cardboard material and isn't a sustainable practice. I'm not sure how a coffee ship succeeds without basic supplies like coffee and vessels for it. read more

Phenomenal cup of coffee. I already know GPC has incredible cold brew, but I'm pumped to see they are serving a great classic hot cup as well. Love the vibe of this place. Super chill, San Diego coffee shop vibes. Black, white, and wood, accented with live greenery. Beautifully done. My only complaint is that it isn't a place I could really come to study, get work done, read etc.. Mostly because the sitting options are few and uncomfortable. They also use paper to-go cups which could take away from the vibe/feel as well. I'm sure that is something they are working toward! The comfort/chill factor always weighs in pretty heavily on my personal coffee shop preferences. But I'll definitelyy be back for their stellar coffee, and I'm pumped to see them grow and begin the store front journey. read more

Coffee: I didn't get any coffee but the person I was with got a cappuccino and said it was really good. I got the matcha latte and oh my gosh so so good! Rich and creamy can't say how great it was, a must try. Atmosphere: So so cute! A breath of fresh air, windows allow for great sunlight and plants make it feel natural. Love the black and white theme they have going on and the modern/industrial chairs sometimes I feel like they could be mistaken as uncomfortable if you are there for a long time. Customer service: Didn't have much interaction besides ordering and asking for WiFi password but they were nice! Overall really really liked this coffee shop out of the many in the Lynchburg area Ideas for Golf Park: Their bathrooms don't match the aesthetic they have going on in the front but I feel like that's a work in progress for them. They also have a lot of space in the back near the bathrooms that doesn't look like it's being used. I think they should totally make it into more seating area to allow for more people to hangout, would be totally cool! The coffee didn't 'wow' me, but overall this place is great. I got a simple black coffee; service was helpful, friendly, and prompt. They brew Trager Bros coffee - native to my stomping grounds in Richmond, Va - but coffee which I've never been a die hard fan; however, I got a medium roast with fruity notes and it was a lot better than I was expecting. When it's warmer, I want to come back and try the cold brew which is the thing that Golf Park was originally known for I'm told. As for the shop itself, I love the open floor plan and abundance of natural light thanks to large wall-to-wall windows in this spacious shop on the corner of Bedford Avenue. The shop strikes a nice balance between warmth and modern simplicity; comfortable enough to feel inviting but not over-stimulating. There's a good variety of seating that's spread out just enough to be social without being distracting. While I wouldn't rate the coffee five star, just about everything else makes up for it. Growing up in Lynchburg I've seen a lot of new businesses, restaurants, and coffee shops come and go--this place is here to stay and has incredible espresso, plenty of room to study, and good music. There's a lot of natural light and minimal decor which, is great for focusing on work. Also , they have a very wheelchair friendly space and easy accessible parking.
