I can't say enough good things about the people who work here…read more Typically, there are fewer than 4 kids per instructor, but the instructors are very good at tailoring instructions and activities to meet the needs of each individual child even when there are four kids. I love that they gently push the kids just outside of their comfort zone. The entire staff is accommodating and friendly. My not-quite-4-year-old kid knows how to swim and a lot about water safety. They practice what to do if you fall in a pool (every class), asking an adult for help (instead of jumping in to help) if someone is having a hard time in the pool, a simulated accident where they jump in fully clothed, etc. When she started, she didn't want water to touch her face, and now she's learning how to take side breaths! All of the instructors are great, but my kiddo has excelled with Ms Michelle, Ms Fulori, and Ms Rayghen. They're AMAZING. To me, learning how to not drown is the most important "extracurricular" skill a kid can learn, and Emler of Anderson Mill seems to believe this as well. An extra bonus to help the community and (I believe) for character building, the school has donation drives for things like socks, school supplies, and swim lessons. The only downsides are: It's very humid on the pool deck because it's an indoor pool in Texas, so I recommend bringing a fan if you don't want to sweat profusely. You could watch through the glass, but that's not as helpful or fun IMO. The changing tables are in the main areas instead of the restrooms. Not an issue for some people, but I prefer privacy. You can get creative for that.

Every person has a place to be. Managers walking around, double confirming and keeping additional sets of eyes on the water. Each teacher following a well defined script, they have thought of everything. We enrolled our son when he was 14 months and are nearly a quarter of the way through the 14 week semester. Each week, he has shown improvements, from ability to hold his breath to moving his legs under water. The instructors keep track of different metrics to make sure each kid continues to get better every week. Our class has 4 other kids, which has been the perfect number. We've been extremally happy with the Water Babies class at Emler.

More than anything, the coaches make soccer FUN! My son always has a smile on his face, gives his best effort, and is excited to come back. They keep the younger kids engaged, focused, and hold them to a high standard; but they do so while keeping it fun. Compared to my son's club practices and other training sessions, nobody keeps him as engaged and in love with playing as 1A does. I think the technical trainings are fantastic and have seen his skills improve with each session. 1 hour spent at 1A gives him THOUSANDS of quality touches, reps, and skills he can take back to the field. An hour here is better than 2 weeks of training with his club. He absolutely loves the winter, spring break, and summer half-day camps and it is his top choice whenever we ask him what camps he wants to do. The facility is great as well, with a nice lounge area where parents can work or watch their kids. It's indoors, which is a huge plus... never any cancellations due to weather and a great way to continuing training, even during the brutally hot summer months.

What stood out about this course it wasn't just an average course. They have a nice game room with pool tables, golf simulator, golden tee, and a nice bar setup within their clubhouse. They even have a food truck right outside the club house next to their golf simulator room. When you walk into pay just go to the right and you will see their golf shop. Plenty of swag gear and other necessities that most golf clubs don't carry in my opinion. For course play, hole one is not only a challenge being you have to battle your way up "Hamburger Hill" with slice to a bit left and a slightly inclined putting green. You have to watch out for the driving range to the right. My buddy and I had a good time playing, but man it was cold when we arrived here and we were the first couple of players to start the day. The golf carts come with two USB type A plugs to keep your electronic devices charged. They also use a TagMarshall for GPS. Which in my opinion it is one of the best GPS devices I have utilized on a golf cart. This course has a lot of scenic holes with plenty of wildlife aka deer roaming the course. They are pretty cool to watch as they watch you play tis course. The staff here are friendly and welcoming when you arrive. Depending on where you are located in the Austin area it can be a bit of a drive; however, the drive is very scenic. From Pflugerville it was about a 55 minute drive. I highly recommend trying to this course out if you're tired playing the usual courses in the Austin area. Also, they offer military discount through military tee times.

Rosie is very introverted and doesn't usually take well to strangers, so finding the right swim class has always been a challenge. When we first started at SafeSplash, the staff was incredibly patient and thoughtful. They took the time to match her with the right instructor, and that's how we met Shelby. Rosie absolutely adores Shelby and now looks forward to every class with a big smile. She's growing more confident in the water, kicking properly, and genuinely enjoying swimming. I truly credit Shelby's gentle, supportive teaching style. I'm also really grateful to SafeSplash for putting in the effort to match students with the right teacher and level. Tennis was something I hadn't done in 10 years, but wanted to give it a shot again. CATA was able to help me find a facility that met my needs (low cost, close). The even assured me I wouldn't be the only overweight person there, and that many people are getting into Tennis for fitness.
