Stopped in today to get my 13 year old son fitted for some new clubs (he'd outgrown his old ones...after one year!). The appointment started on time and the young man that assisted my lad did a thorough job, watching him hit and taking measurements (they should have some shafts fitted with jumbo grips, though...as my 6 footer needs them). I had clubs made there for me a number of years back, and the process was similar. Once done, we finished our selections, and the order was submitted...all in all about an hour+ process. Easy peasy. Reasonably priced for custom Taylormades - around $900 (for the irons...add another $5-600 for woods. Then add putter. A bag. Inexpensive sport...lol...ya gotta love it. Good place. Nice folks. Went in for a scheduled iron fitting back in 2019 and was scheduled with a guy who went by "Boston Tony." I told him I've hit my friend's irons pretty well who were +0.5" longer than standard. I tried a few different game improve irons while there and landed on TM Sim 2 irons. He insisted I should go with a half inch shorter than standard which I could not fathom how that could be...He said this was due to my swing path, I hit them okay during her fitting and to this day I really can't hit them consistently. For reference I am 6'3" and have long arms and legs. Not sure if that guy still works there or not but I would steer clear of him and ask for someone else for anything fitting related. I have since went elsewhere and got fit for TM P790s with that +0.5" shaft length and I am a much happier camper. read more

I went to get fitted for a driver and 3 wood. Alex Kennedy was my fitter and I have nothing but good things to say. Very knowledgeable with all the data and different settings each club has to offer. He gave me a detailed and to the point analysis of which driver/3 wood best fit my game. Moving forward I refuse to go to anyone else to get fitted for clubs. 10/10 experience. This was my first time going to a Golf Galaxy and it was exciting/slightly overwhelming to see this very large store with golf clubs lining the walls. The excitement slowly diminished as I walked through the store and realized the entire women's golf club section was about 10 sq.ft. and probably 5% of the total clubs in the store. Golf is a gender neutral sport, so it was very surprising to see the sexism displayed. If you're a woman looking for golf clubs, I would not recommend Golf Galaxy. If you're a man looking for golf clubs, I'm sure Golf Galaxy is heaven for you. read more

Order custom PING clubs after completing fitting visit. Spent $1500 on order, you would think for the cost i would receive some updates and follow-up on order status. Tried online chat which was worthless. Called the 800 number who gave updated target ship date of greater than 10 weeks out and told to call store to see if product back order causing delay. Called store and got into the continuous loop. Once an associate finally answered, told the guy who can look at orders isnt there today and when asked to transfer to the manager hung up. During the fitting, the other associates were more interested in getting into the simulator so that they could play and hit balls themselves rather than helping the other customers who were in the store. This place was AWFUL! I just walked around for about 45 minutes. Nobody would acknowledge me. I just drove 40 minutes t buy a new set of irons. Glad they took so long. I found the same clubs for $200 cheaper at multiple online stores. This was my first and LAST time ever walking through those doors. My only regret is that I can't give them 0 stars. read more

I stopped there to demo some clubs I had on basketball shorts and a t shirt the gentlemen started out waiting on me was helpful until another gentlemen wearing khakis and a dress pants came up then I got totally ignored !!!!!!!!! Terrible service just cause he must of thought I wasn't gonna buy because of the way I looked or dressed. Shame on them I will get fitted and spend my money elsewhere!!!!!!!!!!! read more

He was extremely helpful and patient and really just took his time to make sure I had the right club head and shaft to maximize my performance. He was fantastic. My review is only for the club repair shop in the back of the store. Tony has a HORRIBLE attitude!!! Allow me to explain -- I've always believed in getting dressed and showing up no matter how horrible one feels upon getting up in the morning. When one comes to work, they should leave all of their troubles behind them and provide the best customer service because (1) Thank you I am alive, (2) I represent the best golf store in Pittsburgh who pays my salary and (3) my customers are important to the store and I will make sure they know it. Instead, we got grumpy, can't be bothered Tony. It wasn't during the lunch hours so it couldn't have been hunger related. Not sure if he was having a bad day but I am not here to justify why he was like that towards us -- he was not busy as there were no other customers around and the store was fairly empty. Needless to say, we decided not to leave our clubs for service and chose to go elsewhere. read more

I live in eastern PA, but my company is based near this store. I only get to it when I'm visiting HQ. So far I've had two clubs "fitted" here by a man named Mike Hensel. He's GREAT. Patient and knowledgeable. I've never putted better, and after my driver fitting last night I expect to be hitting it much better on my next round. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

Just purchased a set of clubs here after not playing for 2-3 years and looking to get back into the game. Gary fitted me and took a lot of time explaining the advantages and disadvantages of each brand/model. He was excellent. He even cut 2 clubs down by 0.5 inch because the felt a little long for my height. Unlike what I expected, no one tried to sell me more expensive clubs or accessories. My husband and I went on Saturday to look for an upgrade for myself from my current set. Upon entering the store and after browsing around we were passed by 2-3 store associates and never once was asked if we needed assistance, however there were associates(2-3 again) just standing at the counter talking with a customer. Needless to say it wasn't how we were dressed....I guess. But I am not impressed with their staff at all. We then proceeded to the putter section and when I asked the guy about putter length because the women's seemed too short for me he then said well here's some cheaper putters over here if you'd like (never once did I mention price, just that I was looking and that this putter seemed short) needless to say we went to another store and was treated much better. We did notice that the markup golf galaxy has is much higher then most places. Don't waste your time with this location because if you don't 'fit' the image there's no chance you'll be treated well. read more

Got fitted for new MP18s. Very knowledgeable, solid experience. My fitter allowed me to try the 3 sets of irons that had interest in and didn't feel rushed at all. I got custom shafts and grips so it took a week which is quite normal. They were busy when I was there but it didn't bother me to wait a few. They certainly didn't help customers based on their skill level because I came right from work and looked like a slob but I can play. They have a huge space, tons of selection. As a side, to you other D Bag yelpers, don't mention employees by name. Total D Bag move which is why you golf alone all the time. Go Flyers! read more

Worst customer service I've ever seen. On a regular basis you'll just be ignored or told to wait a few minutes while they help some terrible golfer for an hour. Sucks to watch. I tried to help myself with the Titleist fitting gear and was scolded. It was in disarray anyway. Can't find anything. Dicks doesn't care. Whoever runs Golf Galaxy Robinson has they're head up their ass and should be relpaced. It's a cluster =%# read more
