Just need to tell you about some amazing people that run this place. Had an issue with our handicap van having an issue and we were unable to get our adult special needs child in it or home. Happened to be near Tinzers and after being locked out in the heat for almost an hour, my son was struggling. We went into Yinzers for some relief while we pondered what we could do, and these folks were absolutely great people. They let us hang out til we got things partially figured out, offered us cold drinks, and anything else we could have needed. Then they even let us store our sons wheelchair there over night until we could Come get it the next day. Al, and Team Thank you sincerely for your hospitality, generosity, and kindness in what was a very stressful situation for us just figuring out the logistics of how to get our boy home etc. we will not forget this! This place, lol. I say that with sincerity. This is one of those places one would stop in if visiting another city. With that said, I walk by often and every now and again stop in to see what they have going on at the time. They have so much going on! Merch as far as the eye can see! It's a good place to buy gag gifts as well as real gifts for people. It's always a mad house though and that's a good thing for them as local business owners. I have been in this city for years. I have been to the Strip many times. But I have never been to Yinzers. Why? Why would I do that to myself? This is a great place to get some Pittsburgh items. To say that it is busy in here is an understatement. There is always a steady stream of people coming and going because it is located in a busy area. You ever see somebody wearing a Pirates/Steelers/Penguins shirt and can't figure out where it came from. Most times the answer is Yinzers. Check out the sales while you are in here as well. They have some great sales from time to time on different items throughout the store. One thing that I don't like is the inconsistency of pricing. I could understand paying the price for an item if it were a licensed item, but to have another item next to it that isn't licensed for the same price or higher, baffling. Need some Steelers swag? Start here! We stopped in the day before a big game day and it was PACKED. I mean, you could barely move around or look at racks without bumping into someone. That being said, this is a big store with merchandise located on the bottom floor, top floor and even onto the streets! Need a Steelers back scratcher? Of course you do! And Yinzers has it. They had quite the eclectic Steelers soundtrack playing on repeat which was pretty entertaining (Think: Twelve Days of Christmas, Steelers Edition). When it came time to pay, there are two lines for credit card and cash respectively. It was hard to stand in line without being in someone's way but there's not much you can do about that. All in all, would definitely recommend this to any Steelers fan! They had a bunch of sales going on so chances are you can catch a good deal on something that beats stadium prices. They have so much stuff and it's tight...on the weekends they can get swamped, but soldier on my friend.... Wow, this store has everything. Yinzers is the place to go for your Pittsburgh attire. So many options, inside and out. The sidewalk is lined with tables of t shirts for $10. The prices are much, much cheaper than dicks or anywhere else & the products are good quality. They have two locations right on the strip. I even snagged a pair of steeler tennis shoes for 30 bucks! Amazing place for unique, cool design and relatively inexpensive Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates memorabilia. Check out the upstairs (following the Rooney pic at the top of the stairs ) for another whole floor of unique sports trading cards and blankets and you name it. 9 out of 10 Chance the set design for that Steelers obsessed fan in that American Express or MasterCard famous commercial a few years ago bought their stuff here! Yinzers is my absolute favorite shop around, and is THE place in the Strip District to get your Pittsburgh gear. Located at the far end of the Strip, I would highly recommend holding off on buying any clothing or knick knacks until you make it here first. If for some reason Yinzers doesn't have what you want, then you can give yourself permission to venture out and purchase things elsewhere. This store is a two-story mecca of all things black and yellow. The place is bursting with any item your heart desires, so long as you're desiring it to be covered with gold and include a Pirate or Penguin. They have such a large inventory that many of the sale clothing items spill out onto the street and around the corner. You can buy everything from a Heinz Ward ornament to a dubious golf-bag wielding Alex Ovechkin t-shirt. (It's still one of my favorite t-shirts to this day, but if it's worn anywhere outside of Pittsburgh, it's an awkward conversation starter to say the least.) Best place to go for local sports team apparel. Their prices are competive, but their best values are their sale merchandise. There are always plenty of staff in the store to help you find what you need, and despite how rather crowded things usually get, there is always someone able to help. There's a whole other room upstairs, so take the staircase up to look around. They have a lot of inventory, so usually finding the right size is easy enough. The best place for Penguins gear when football season is still going on. All the other Pittsburgh gear stores had Steelers stuff galore which just isn't my thing. The entire back room is affordable Penguins stuff. Hoodies, long sleeve t's short sleeve t's you name it they got it. And the prices are a bit better than the new Dick's Sporting Goods all Penguins store on Smallman Street. Although Dick's has really nice billboards of my imaginary boyfriend Sidney. The new location has more walking space, but the older location has more nostalgia. It does get busy on saturdays before a home game, but lines go fast. Friendly amd helpful staff. As a die-hard Baltimore Ravens fan, walking into this store made me cringe with sheer horror. As a die-hard Baltimore Ravens fan that is married to a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, however, I felt it necessary to prove my undying love and devotion to my husband by allowing him to drag me... uh, I mean, come into Yinzers to look around at the merchandise. I will say that if you're looking for Steelers paraphernalia (or Pirates, for that matter), this is the place you want to be. I've never seen so many NFL-licensed items in my life. Jerseys, shirts, stickers, mugs, keychains, sweatpants - whatever it is, it was slapped with a Steelers logo and sold. I can't comment on the prices because I was just goggle-eyed looking around the place while my husband's going, "Oh... YEAH, oh YEAH." I dared to walk into this place with a Baltimore Ravens shirt on my body. While I thankfully wasn't bum-rushed, I did receive quite a few stares. (It was expected, heh.) Kudos to the people of Pittsburgh for not killing me. :) This place may not be to my personal taste, but if you're a Steelers fan like my husband is, you'll feel right at home. One of several Pittsburgh sports related stores on the street. But this one had far better quality merchandise and better prices than the others that I visited on July 4th. All the merchandise I looked at had the official MLB NHL or NFL logos and holograms on them unlike some of the other stores I was in. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town. read more

Black and gold overload! This store is fantastic if you're a Pittsburgh sports fan....wall to wall, upstairs, downstairs, out on the street black and gold. I came in looking for some swag to bring home to San Diego and I definitely found it. I was able to get some Pens gear, some Steelers gear and an ornament for my holiday tree. My lovely husband, who is not a black and gold fan was amazed by the amount of stuff there, and actually picked up a Pens shirt for himself.
