I recently got back into golf following my retirement last year and playing golf very infrequently. My clubs were at least 12 years old with steel shafts and I had an even older putter. I am now in my mid 60s and I read that Graphite shafts and new technology could possibly help my game (at the very least, make golfing more enjoyable as my swing speed declines etc.). I went to the PGA Superstore and was fortunate enough to have an appointment with club fitter Max Archibald. I can't tell you enough how patient, knowledgeable and helpful Max was. I thought I wanted certain clubs based on my research, but after working with Max, we determined that I did not need the expensive clubs I was willing to purchase. He could have tried to upsell me, but instead, Max put me in the best clubs for me, and at a lower price. When I went in a couple of weeks later looking for a new putter. Max remembered me and took the time (without my making an appointment) to help me choose the best putter for me. Because of Max, I joined the Players Plus Club there. I would also like to thank Sam Sutherland who helped me pick out a driver and Adam who works up front and is always friendly and willing to help. They have a great crew working there, and I would recommend, that if you are looking for new golf clubs or golf equipment, that you should visit the PGA Superstore in Boise.

He didn't say anything and just went to the pro shop when he was done to let them know. Greg proceeded to speak very unprofessionally and actually said to him "if you don't like it then don't come back". I'm sorry this is unacceptable behavior from an employee. Never had an experience like this before but wow - that really put a sour taste in our mouths.

Carts should have sand so we can fill in fairway patches as needed, didn't see any before teeing off. Nice beverage selection, timber dogs are always hittin' ($5...can't beat it), and plenty of ice to go around. We finished in just over 4 hours so a great pace for a mid morning Sunday start. Worth a drive out once or twice a year.

I am now comfortable with my swing and club distances and looking forward to improving my short game and putting over the winter months. Phil has been very diligent in working within my capabilities and assisting me in perfecting my swing and golf strategy on the course!!! Club speed on shot, club selection for distance, playing smart, approach shots and now - my putting! Whether out on the course or on the Golf365 simulator, Phil is always drawing the best out of my game. I have visited Golf 365 and worked with Randle to figure out some issues I have been having with my…read moreclubs. After three major back surgeries being able to golf is wonderful. Randle has helped me shaft length and grip size on several clubs I just couldn't hit. He has not tried to sell me a new set or left it up to "what I want" as they often do in large retail stores. He has made a few adjustments to a couple of clubs, re-gripped a few, and watched me swing my driver and offered me some suggestions. On my stance. I have gone to Golf 365 because I trust them and Randle has no let me down. I highly recommend them as a great source of all types of help with your golf equipment. I know they also offer lessons and simulator time but haven't used these services, no doubt also very good.

BanBury, a public course in Eagle thoughtfully designed by John Harbottle III, has consistently ranked among Idaho's top 10 public courses by Golf Digest for nearly two decades. The course flows gently along the South Channel of the Boise River and offers both challenge and charm. It was the first in our area to host a USGA championship, the U.S. Junior Girls. They are also adding a new simulator building next to Harvey's, their on-site restaurant. The space will feature three TrackMan simulators, full club-fitting services, and direct access to the bar, which sounds perfect for practice or a post-round hangout. My favorite part is sharing this place with friends. The golf course is pristine and welcoming. The staff is phenomenal, especially their PGA pro Drew, who gave me two lessons and runs fantastic group clinics. I always leave feeling more confident on the green. The restaurant side is just as amazing. The team, especially Law, knows our order so well that last visit he brought us our Arnold Palmers before we even asked. We always round out our day with lunch. Chicken tacos, Caesar salad, Reubens, burgers -- the food never disappoints. For evening golf or dinner, their prime rib and salmon are standout dishes. BanBury offers a flawless blend of great golf, excellent instruction, warm hospitality, and delicious food. I highly recommend it whether you are there to play, to eat, or just to spend time with friends.

Played Banbury this weekend on a visit to town. One of the premier courses in Boise for decades,…read morethe decline of this course has been rapid since the departure of the original management team and greens keeper. Once the best public course within hundreds of miles, is now a shell of itself. What used to be a destination for me any time I was around, has become a once a year stop at the most. It's upsetting, especially considering how high the demand is in Boise for an elite public golf course. This weekends round was made especially miserable because of two factors the course absolutely had control over. The first being that myself (single digit handicap) and my partner (mid-handicap) were paired with two young men in their 20's, one of which had never played before. Needless to say, he was miserable, as were we. I had to buy drinks for the group behind us to apologize. Most egregious however, was that the course decided to let a group of FIVE people out in the middle of a Sunday afternoon, to film some Tik-Tok Golf Influencer "content". Our front nine, playing behind these folks took over 2 hours and 45 minutes, but then after the turn Hole 10 took 31 minutes BY ITSELF! By hole 14 we had decided to go ahead of them, and then were verbally accosted by the group as if wed done something inappropriate. And all of this cost me well over $100. The course conditions were mediocre and torn up, and it was crowded and slow even without the influencers. Highlights included awesome service from the folks in the restaurant and bar, and the young lady driving the beverage cart. All of which were affable, friendly, and made sure to take great care of us. Also the gentlemen in the Pro Shop were very professional, and understood my frustrations when I went to speak with them post round. I won't be back to Banbury this year. Might not be back again unless there's major changes to the operations and standards at Banbury Golf Club. Here's hoping that happens, because it sucks to see a world class golf course end up like that.

However, after the 6th holes, an employee approached us and repeatedly told us to speed up, then followed our group for a couple of holes . This was frustrating because we were already keeping pace with the group ahead of us, who were playing slowly. Golf is not an inexpensive, and experience like this take away from what should be an enjoyable day. We felt rushed and uncomfortable rather than welcomed as a paying customers. Unfortunately, because of this interaction, we won't be returning.
