Dicks (autocorrected to "sucks" lol...) is the type of store everyone loves...why? Because it's a big box (sporting) store and carries pretty much everything someone who is active needs. In the past couple years, I hate how Dicks added their political views to everything. I just wish businesses and whatnot would stfu about their political views. I don't shop at a place because they're super conservative or if they ...super liberal. I go to businesses if they have what I want. So when places add their two cents, specifically on anything political...it ruins them for me. I know I'm not alone in this. Seriously, shut up. We wanna buy sneakers or a water bottle, we dgaf what side of the aisle you stand on. Ok that's my rant on that lol. I rarely go here. This was my 2nd time in this store since it opened. They opened 6 years ago, maybe? I went in right after and then this time. I was at Petco next door and needed to check out their weightlifting belts. Reasonable prices on that but everything else....priiiiicey! If you shop at Dicks, you know this tho. Checked out some of their sale items and if you can get something on sale (depending on what it is) their prices can be pretty good. Big 5 is next door...right next door. The huge corporate stores love to do that to the smaller stores like Big 5. Big 5 is a better store, but of course they don't carry as much. Their prices are certainly better and makes happy this location hasn't been forced out because of the giant Dicks (lol) right next to it. There's a Big 5 minutes from my house too, so I go there more. Dicks is across from the mall so if I am In that area I may think of going in, but like I said, this was the 2nd time in 6 years that I've been in that store. I just don't care to go in that much lol. Staff was friendly tho and super helpful. So they have that going for them. Aside from that, I know this review won't help anyone lol. You either love this place or just don't care about it. Everyone knows it exists so yeah, you either go or don't. So many just order online which when it comes to places like Dicks, it's fine otherwise I love supporting small mom and pop/local shops. Ok I'm done writing about this place lol. After I finished my cardiac rehab sessions with my hospital I signed up with a local gym and started working out. I guess I overdid it and started having some knee pain. It wasn't bad, but I wanted some kind of a knee stabilizer, so I went to Dick's. This was at the beginning of the holiday shopping rush. I was not having a good day... besides knee pain and my lower back hurting I have foot problems, and so I kind of hobbled into the store. I was promptly greeted and directed to the correct aisle, where I found a nice selection of knee braces. I chose two that looked promising, and I asked a nearby employee if I could take them out of the box and try them on, and he encouraged me to do so. And then he did something that absolutely astounded me. He got me a camp chair so that I could sit down right there in the aisle and try them on. They both fit, and I wasn't sure which was best, and he told me I could try them both out and return the one I didn't want. That small act of kindness, getting the chair for me, was really appreciated, and I will never forget that. And I had no problem returning the unchosen brace after the holiday season was over (to avoid the traffic around the mall). read more

I ordered some workout clothes from the online store and when a few pieces didn't fit, I brought them into this location to return. It was the first day doing returns again, and there was a bit of confusion processing the return, ending up in a missing refund. I called the general customer service line, but was placed on hold for an hour and a half (which I get, they were busy post-reopen). After getting tired of waiting on the line, I emailed the store. I was directed to the manager (Jill, thank you!) who handled it perfectly. Great customer service amid a rush and helped to get my money back quickly and in a way that I could still use the money against the credit card I used for the original purchase. Other employees knew about the situation before I got there too and were able to quickly direct me to the manager before I got there. Bought my Sim 5 wood here, no head cover so gave me Sim 2. Purchased my hybrid here, no head cover, gave me an M2. When I told them the last time they couldn't give me what I purchased they gave my the updated head cover, this time they refused. Head covers aren't just for looks, but protect expensive clubs. The M2 cover doesn't even fit like it supposed too. With customer service like this no wonder people just buy it on line. My last trip to Dicks forever. Disappointed read more

Came here looking for a tennis racket and ping-pong balls. I had looked several other places for the tennis racket and found a racket here that was the best bargain (quality meets reasonable pricing). Their selection was extensive with rackets ranging in price from $20-$150+. They have pre-strung rackets or frames that you could have customized with a string that fits your style of play at a tension that fits your preference. As for beer pong...I mean ping pong balls, they had a six pack of white or rainbow colored for $3.99. I opted for rainbow as, in the words of the gentleman standing next to me: If you have the choice of white or rainbow, why WOULDN'T you choose rainbow? Why, indeed. Get to it! read more

Dick's doesn't need an introduction. It's a sporting goods store and they have the juice. They moved in next to Big 5, which is almost sad when you look at the two side by side, but hey, law of the jungle. They have everything sports there, as they should. I finally picked up one of the greatest tailgating games in the world... KAN-JAM!!! I have been addicted to Kan Jam since I bought it, even enduring the harsh cold and dark to play after my BBQ. I was assisted by Courtney, who is an all star. She was a big help in pointing me in the right direction and made my whole experience better. But anyway, Dick's is exactly what you would expect. I don't write reviews often but I felt I needed to after this experience. I have never met someone so rude and unhelpful as the the manager that works here (I believe her name is Jill). She was so incredibly rude and unnecessarily cruel to my son and I. And to see the way that she treats her fellow employees is almost inhuman. It looked like the poor girl she was talking (scolding) to at the register was about to break out in tears. I urge anyone who is considering shopping here to go to the next closest Dicks. I for one will never shop here again just so I don't have to see and interact with this crazy lady again. I can't believe that Dicks continues to let this person tarnish and destroy their brand that I used to think highly of. I have ordered through Dick's many many times. I usually don't have any issues with my purchases. However, I have never felt so disrespected until I went to this store. I picked up my order from this store via Curbside pickup and was told to pull up to the door after waiting for a half hour. Then the associate yells to open the trunk. So I did it without much thought then he throws my item into the trunk from about 8 feet away and runs back into the store. He left the trunk wide open. No have a good day, no sorry for tossing your item. Then I get home and the item wasn't even the one I ordered. Worst experience I've had at any store in a long time. read more

I ordered online and my item arrived with the security tag on. I called customer service and although on the phone for kind of a long time, I promptly received a call from Dane, one of the managers who dispatched Jill to COME TO MY OFFICE. Jill was here within an hour or so (sorry I missed her as I'd like to have thanked her in person for going above and beyond), removed said tag and my husband's Father's Day is about to be the best ever.
