Such an amazing service. This is one of those businesses I am just fired up about returning to once this chaos has ended. Owner Dalida Atallah has really brought something special to Rochester with Dado. One trip to her store and you will understand her aesthetic, the girl has impeccable taste. If that's not enough the store is impossibly clean with each of the garments hung perfectly spaced apart while center tables hold accessories. A type A personality who understands the importance of presentation? Whats not to like?! Be warned: Though Dado is just minutes down the street from Marshalls and TJ Maxx, it is expensive. The store carries high end brands like Elizabeth & James and more popular brands like French Connection but don't let that scare you away, Atallah has great sales (Up to 30% off) often so its worth a visit. Perhaps some holiday money could buy you a fabulous New Years Eve dress. It's possible you've gotten a glimpse of what Dado has to offer if you've attended any of the local fashion shows. Most recently a Dado show raised over $100,000 for the Wilmot Cancer Center. A small business helping a local charity makes my 8 minute drive to Pittsford worth while. Avoid shopping Sunday's at all costs - Manager Melissa…read more I'm a weekly customer and avid comic collector who loves the treasure hunt here. For context, I stopped shopping on Sundays months ago due to prior issues involving Melissa (weekend manager) and another employee. After six months away, I tried again--same result. I also observed smoking within a few feet of the public entrance when I arrived. On 10/19/2025, I brought two early '70s Batman issues to the 5-items-or-fewer line with Melissa, who was visibly agitated and had just called for additional front-end help. She allowed a one-item customer to go ahead--no issue. During my checkout, she began picking at the price stickers, bending the books, and left nail marks on a cover. I politely asked her not to remove stickers--a routine request I've made many times here because it can damage older paper. She paused for ~30 seconds, then rolled her eyes and replied, "Suuuuuure" in a sarcastic tone as if to imply I was crazy. I declined the purchase and stepped away. She called after me that she would personally buy the books so "no one would lose out," then grabbed the phone, threatened to call the police, ordered me to leave, and banned me--in front of three cashiers and roughly 6-8 customers. I was also accused of "threatening/harassing," which was unfounded and embarrassing. I value this store, but the conduct today was unprofessional and needlessly escalatory--especially from a manager. I hope ownership reviews the footage, clarifies handling of collectibles (including sticker removal), and addresses customer communication and de-escalation.
